A rather large Kommo-o materializes in the center of the room. He nods to Corrin. <My apologies for dragging you into this, your Highness, but this is a matter of import that could not wait. The paper is meaningless, by the way, just a way for me to contact you.>

Mordred: "Uh, 'sup. Susano-o."

The Kommo-o tilts his head. <Indeed. There is a limit as to what I may do to help you lest the very thing I strive to prevent come about. I can offer this piece of advice, Scion of Pendragon: Seek the Heart. Answers shalt be found there. Thine allies shall be of aid, as well. Now fare thee well. We shall speak again.>

Everything goes back to normal.

Mordred: "I really don't like that guy, he's far too cryptic."

Artoria: "He... is." She turns back to the table.

Corrin: ...Or I suppose the paper could be meaningless, yes. That is always a potential outcome.

-She shakes her head in confusion.-

Corrin: Okay, so, seek some "Heart". Ideally that refers to some object metaphorically referred to as a heart, and hopefully not a literal one. And he said your allies would be involved, and dragged me into this...

-She looks Artoria in the eyes-

Corrin: Would you consider me your ally?

-Beat-

Corrin: I have no idea why I felt the need to ask that so directly, the answer's rather clear.

Mordred: "Yeah no that answer's pretty obvious."

Artoria: "But to formalize it, yes, I do. Though, aside from cryptic warnings and messages, we have no leads, so..."

"I suppose the smart thing to do would be to actually start that training in preparation."

Mordred: "See this is why you're the brains of this operation."

Artoria: "What?"

Mordred: "Seriously don't she's really not kidding when she says that she can be an incredibly demanding taskmaster when she wants to be."

-Presta dashes down a hallway, holding a wedge-shaped Barrier in front of her to cowcatch a Mobius Grunt and a Pokémon resembling a Marril(?) out of the way, stopping in front of a terminal with the rest of the mercs-

Sol: OK, we're here; Wayfinder?

-a PEFEgon? emerges from the terminal screen and nuzzles Ton-

Wayfinder: <Glad to see a friendly face.>

Ton: -snortles- We're wearing masks.

-She sits back down to finish eating-

Artoria does likewise, deigning to share a piece of Sushi with Mordred.

Mordred: "... Fine. Fortunately I ate already so I'm not actually going to ask for more but will gladly accept any offerings."

-With or without offerings of sushi to their current "visitor", Corrin finishes what she ordered.-

-For a moment, it looks like she wants to say something...-

-Only for it to turn out to be a suppressed belch. Which ends up causing her to blush.-

Corrin: Gods, manners.

Mordred pats Corrin. "You're not in high society anymore, Princess, I don't think anyone cares."

Artoria, meanwhile, waves the waiter over for the check an pays.

-Corrin gives Mordred an indignant (but no less blushy) look-

Corrin: It's a habit! Besides, I care about how I present myself even if others don't!

Mordred smirks. "Fair enough, I suppose."

Artoria grimaces slightly at the bill, but, again, is surprisingly independently wealthy for a Lurantis and may or may not have a source of income in the form of a foxgirl with ties to organized crime.

-Crimefox or not, Corrin can't help but feel a momentary feeling of panic along the lines of:-

-But it quickly passes.-

Mordred glances at the bill. "Nah, Princess, you're good."

Artoria: "More how much I ate..."

Mordred: "Artoria please."

Artoria stands up. "Well, shall we go find Mason and move on?"

-Corrin nods, and stands up.-

Corrin: Yeah. We should.

-She offers a smile-

Mordred is internally squeeing.

The two start heading for the door.
