“Of course,” he realized, clearing his throat before resuming.

“I am Colton Rever, from Castelia City in the Unova region,” he introduced. “I work under Shigeki Morimoto of Game Freak fame,” he continued, deciding to leave it there.

“How’d I do?” He whispered.

Riju smiled more, <Oh no need to be so formal! This is something incredible! My grandmother always told me that humans used to live on the Island, then one day they vanished, something relating to the divine beast the Grand Groudon.>

<Galant Groudon my lady, we renamed it to better fit its status as our guardian.>

<Whatever,> Riju turned back to the two, <So what brings you to Va-Ru? Looking for something? The Ger Desert is hostile to live in during the day.>

The path is relatively undisturbed, the goggles do their job and keep the illusions from doing anything, much to the continuing grumbling annoyance of the Dreamblight Jester.

"You guys just take all the fun out of things yaknow?"

The group would soon find a cliffside, with a large stone head nearby, in the shape of a Darkrai.

<We took a ship meant to fly to them. We're part of a team that works in that sort of field,> was Tae's response.

~As for testing, that's fine, we can handle testing,~ Hacks added with a smile.

<Though our boss will probably have it a bit harder,> Snakeye said.

Silas finished his slice and looked over at his team, "I get the feeling this is not going to be very pleasant."

-Hyp looks at the rock-

Formalities brushed aside, the Unovan was finally able to inhale. He brushed off his jacket and reached into a pocket, claiming the invitation he was given yesterday.

"There's some eldritch monstrosity that's invited us here for some reason I forget, but the long n' short is we're gonna need to do some things if we ever want to go home," he summarized. "and those "things" involve the six massive constructs sprinkled around Hyul," he added.

Va-Ru City

Phaz: to Colton, murmuring "Well done. I think."

To Rivu "What Colton say. I think the Galant Groudon got some sort of part of Glitch which could be destroyed and weaken that eldritch thing. I dealt with stuff like that before, so yeah."

Shaun: "Well to be fair I don't like getting murdered."

-Jessica approaches the Darkrai head.-

Aela: <How does a ship fly? Was it carried by those who can fly?>

Touching the stone caused a "BWOM" sound to ring out, as the Grand Darkrai powered up, a large glowing blue eye appearing where Jessica had touched. More illusions appeared, and the goggles didn't seem to be dispelling them.

<Oh the Jester. You're here to deal with that thing?> Riju asked.

<I have to say, you two seem pretty brave. Might this have anything to do with our Galant Groudon?>

Snakeye started laughing as Hacks searched for a explanation, ~It flew under it's own power. A ship made of metal with a powerful form of propulsion to lift it beyond our planet.~

Va-Ru

Phaz: "Well, maybe try to remove that Jester dudelassthing. Y'know, aberration of nature or something. And the Galant Groudon might have a thing to do with it."

He looks at Rivu intently, putting his hands in his pockets.

"I do have a question though... What's your name, and what do you know about that Jester?"

Joyous Forest

Spinme: "This doesn't look good..."

She cracks her knuckles, Coldplay by her side.

-Lanie is sitting near the Ferris Wheel, with Espero floating above her and an extraordinarily angry looking Amoonguss sitting in front of her. They could all be noticed.-

Colton looked at where Ever and Muninn used to be, Sylveon not paying any mind on the grounds that she had conked out for the night.

"Well that just happened," he mused. "So, where were we?" He asked as he walked towards the Ferris wheel, Sylveon returned a short while ago. Mostly just because there was also foods there.

Va-Ru City

"I actually think he's playing us for fools," Colton offered. "that somehow doing all of this will benefit him in the long run. Seen it before," he reasoned.

"Something something J-Team something something Latios something something Eon Dragons," Colton recited. "Any of those three sound at all familiar?"

-A Swoobat notices Lanie and flutters down, attempting to perch on the angry Amoonguss' head-

Yuuya: <Ah, it's been a while, mon amie. Assuming I haven't just seen you from afar.>

Gui: I'm looking for the J-Team, that Mimikyu was actually a Latios or something and you assumed I'm connected to Eon Dragons.

Lanie: You're... Maggie's, right? I don't remember your name...

-The Amoonguss does everything in its power to shake Yuuya away.-

Amoonguss:    Leave my presence, pest.   

Jessica: <Look like he needs some coffee.>

Shaun: "Oh joy, more shadows."

-Shaun flips a red-orange Z-Crystal in the air before popping it in his Z-Ring.-

-Achille makes a show of readying his Beautifly knife and slashing the air with it.-

Mezzo: What do you mean the ferry's not running?

Attendant: The ferry's not running. It's a holiday, you know.

Mezzo: Yes, I'm sure it would be a lovely holiday if I could get off this damn rock.

Pianis: Temper.

-Mezzo moves to smack Pianis, but he grabs her arm first-

Mezzo: ...Ugh. So the only airport is in Hau'oli City which is on this other island, yes?

Attendant: That's right.

Mezzo: But the boat isn't running today.

Attendant: Correct. If you're in a hurry, perhaps you could use a Ride Pokémon? We have plenty of Lapras here.

-the attendant points at a group of Lapras nearby; one perks its head up-

Pianis: You breed Lapras for transport?

Attendant: It's easier than making each trainer bring their own.

-Yuuya flies up to avoid the Amoonguss' attempts to remove him-

-He turns downward at the Amoonguss-

<And what makes me a pest, exactly?>

???: "Personally I use my own Pokémon."

-An Alolan/Sinnohan girl with light golden brown skin and some medium-length brown hair walks up.-

The shadows do nothing, they sit there, the ground begins to shake as suddenly the stone head begins to move. Hyp had the right idea and is now on the mouth guard of the Darkrai.

Out rises the Grand Darkrai.

<Ain't that always how it goes?> Riju asked.

~Silas could explain more about the mechanics when we get the chance. So, how would we do this test?~

"Hacks are you volunteering us for a adventure?"

~Adventures are fun, besides how bad was the last one?~

Amber sighed, <Aaaaand like that all fun is out.>

Lanie: She's a Shadow Pokémon I rescued in Alola. I found out her trainer from before was from Unova and I'm trying to figure out who they were.

Attendant: Care to take one of them for a ride?

-the Lapras that perked her head up before waves a flipper-

Lapras♀: <Oh, oh! Pick me! I can help!>

Mezzo: Look, we need to get a continent away, I don't think a rental Lapras is going to take us there.

Lapras♀: <I can! C'mon, try me!>

Attendant: Heh, this one sure seems eager.

Mezzo: Well, too bad. I don't want to deal with that today.

Pianis: You never want to deal with anything, though.

-Mezzo groans-

Mezzo: Come on, let's go.

Lapras♀: <Hey, wait! Don't leave me behind! C'mon, don't you remember me?>

-Pianis looks at the Lapras, and notices she's wearing a particular scarf-

Pianis: ...Wait a sec.

Va-ru City

"Yes," he agreed. "but here's the caveat: I don't have any Pokemon that can fly. I have a 'mon with Surf, but he's not stupid enough to go swimming for miles on end," he clarified.

Nimbasa City

Claiming a Lemonade to substitute the one Sylveon was probably indulging on from the vending machine, Colton shrugged. "If I was at all wrong about you having a connection to the Eon Dragons, just tell me," he explained. "I'm able to take it."

And then Sylveon materialized beside her trainer and lobbed the half-finished Lemonade from where she was standing into a nearby trash can. Colton caught it out of midair and replaced it in his pack. <Maybe you shouldn't even make those accusations,> she growled.

She went unanswered.
