-He wheels around to face Kirk.-

Kirk: <Oh, right.>

-A wave of pinkish energy closes the hole in Lucius, and he immediately tears off his scarf to start wrapping his hand in it.-

Lucius: ...Y'know what? You can keep the phone.

The Emolga Place I Don't Want To Spell The Name Of — Last Night

Kaito: Maybe. I dunno, space is weird, time is weird, everything we get involved with is weird, anything's possible.

-Kaito picks the note out of their drink, grabs a napkin, and sets it to dry.-

Kaito: Another common, but not necessarily universal, side effect of being a Faller is memory loss. So that checks out, assuming you're right about being Elizabeth Cain.

-he ducks the Pawniard-

-His eyes immediately expand to the size of small moons- <I can???>

-He runs up and glomps Lucius' leg, which is probably most definitely not comfortable for his shin- <AAAAAAAAAA I WIN I WIN I WIN I'VE NEVER WON BEFORE>

-He leans back- <Wait, you look familiar, but you're too short to be who I'm thinking of. Are you related to DA BOSS at all?>

Jacob: "Accurate. Oooh! They do have champagne."

-Lucius lifts up his leg and rests his foot against Pokey's head, keeping him at arm's length and preventing any more unwanted lacerations.-

Lucius: ...Um, don't think so. Don't remember Dad owning any Pawniard, and if he did, they probably would've ended up with me.

-He looks up at Ever.-

Lucius: Sorry, that was an accident. I was just trying to get him-

-He blinks.-

Lucius: ...Arms. You had more of them the last time we met.

Pokey: <I meant Falchion but okay then! Unless your dad is Falchion. Then you're either really tall or he gets a lot more action than I give him credit for.>

<Anyhow! I need to go pick up some eggs and two flocks of Mareep before sunset! Don't want the Sky to fall down any more than it has! Thank you for the rectangle!!>

-He goes prancing off-

Ever: Oh, yeah. Cave diving accident.

-Lucius blinks again at the departing Pokey.-

Lucius: ...How do I look anything like a Bisharp?

-He looks back at Ever.-

Lucius: Uh... okay, I guess. Considering the circumstances and everything. Bereavement and stabbing is not a fun cocktail. Unless it's being served at a bar, I guess.

-...-

Lucius: I feel like we moved on from the arm thing remarkably quick.

Haunter: -appears behind Lucius, holding a tray of Thermal Pouches which have been heated through various experimental means, such as being placed behind the fridge, placed on top of a stove burner with no pan, Will-o-Wisp'd, inserted into a microwave which was subsequently placed on a stove burner, and jammed into a toaster-

<He didn't have the arm when I met him. Probably eaten by a dinosaur, as is the natural order.>

Unova Route 5

-Sholto is a distance away, eating some arm-shaped carrion-

Ever: Oh, honestly I kind of had it coming. You're not supposed to text and walk, you know.

-he pauses-

Ever: Wait, bereavement? Is everything alright?

-he takes the most burned of the Thermal Pouches and begins chewing on it, giving Sholto a deeply uncomfortable look-

Unova Route 5

-Lucius looks back at the Haunter and stares for a moment.-

Lucius: ...Y'know what, I'm just gonna roll with that. Eaten by a dinosaur while walking and texting during a cavedive. Sure. I can buy it.

-He turns back to Ever, looking somewhat awkward.-

Lucius: Er... you remember my dad, Titan? Actually, you probably don't... anyway, he passed away a couple of weeks ago and I really shouldn't be broken up about it because he person-wise he was really just the worst and was at least indirectly involved in at least half-a-dozen plots to kill me but now that he's gone I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I said to him and what I wanted to say but didn't and... yeah. It's been a whole thing.

-He rubs the back of his neck with his good hand.-

Lucius: ...Why am I telling you all this? We've talked, like, twice.

Sholto: <Hey, they were already dead when I got there.>

-He looks like he's about to say something to Lucius, but then notices what the Haunter has-

-He claims one, taking the arm too-

Ludmilla: Mom!

Deziree: Sit still! The you still have some mud on your cheek.

Ludmilla: Mom leave it alone! You always rub too hard!

Deziree: Lies and slander. Now sit still!

Ludmilla: Ack!

-Nanu awkwardly coughs.-

Nanu: You, uh, ready to do this, or should I go make some coffee and come back...?

-Ajax taps Deziree on the shoulder, who sighs in defeat and steps back a ways. He shoots a quick wink at Ludmilla.-

Ludmilla: Hoo, okay. I'm ready. No more distractions.

Nanu: Thank Arceus. Alright then. Let's do this.

-Nanu sends out Sableye, while Ludmilla sends out Cu Sith.-

Ludmilla: Use Flamethrower!

Nanu: Fake Out.

-Deziree jumps a little as her phone buzzes - a proximity alarm triggered down the route. Deziree grinds her teeth for a moment before she pokes Ajax and motions for him to follow.-

Deziree: They always pick the worst times to trip my alarms...

Ajax: <Don't worry, the camera will record the fight.>

Deziree: I'd rather be there myself, buuuuuuut running interference is what a mom's supposed to do, I guess.

-Ever blinks-

Ever: Oh, um...I guess, sorry to hear that? ...I don't really know how to address that, honestly.

...

-he pats Lucius, somewhat uncomfortably-

Ever: Well, I like to think that I'm open and approachable. But also I'm just generally good with ghosts and that might be playing into it. Whose arm is that?

-Lucius squirms.-

Lucius: ...That's fair. Also please don't touch me without a heads up if you can help it.

-He tries to look at Sholto without looking at the arm.-

Lucius: Y'know, I'd feel a lot more comfortable having this conversation if you weren't talking with your mouth full.

Ever: Oh! Um, sorry.

-he withdraws his hand-

Ever: ...First of all, I'm sure I could if I really wanted to...but secondly I don't.

Route 17 Coast

-Melanie the Seer was not having a good day.-

-First, she saw the traitorous Schoolchild here on Route 17. A clear vision, clearer than most, and easy to interpret.-

-Then the visions got weird. After seeing the traitor, she saw this strange woman with striking reddish-blonde hair. The woman looked rather cross, and then her vision went blind - that had never happened before.-

-Then she envisioned herself on the ground, staring up at the sky as the rain poured on her face. That part just seemed nonsensical.-

-So, after reporting her visions to her superior, she went to Route 17 as she had foresaw. It was there that she saw the strange red-blonde woman. The woman was rather cross, tapping her foot in the mud with her armed folded.-

-After making her usual demands to move aside, the strange woman tossed a metal canister at her, which exploded into a blinding flash of light and sound in midair.-

-Thankfully, she had thought ahead and shielded herself from the blast. She had then moved to laugh at the woman for thinking she could use such a cheap trick.-

-Then the grenade exploded again. How does a grenade explode twice?!-

-Then she got really, really cold, and her body refused to move as she tilted back, her face forced upward, staring into the pouring rain, as her body was frozen over.-

Deziree: Now. You're gonna answer some questions of mine.

-Melanie the Seer was not having a good day.-

Route 5

Sholto: -to Lucius- <Eh, fair. I'll finish off the good bits, then bury it.>

-to Ever- <Well, if you do, let me know, k?>

Aela: <That's quite young to be away from home by yourself.>

Unova Route 5

Lucius: ...Somehow I feel like I'm going to regret inviting you to the funeral.

Santalune, Pub

Crys: <Well, it ended up... kind of a surprise.>

Tsubasa: <We'll be fine. You're able to stay safe with all that stuff, so surely we shouldn't be a problem.>

Route 5

Sholto: <Hey, I'd only eat my ex-trainer if he said he wanted me to and I'm assuming you didn't leave that out of his last words. And I did fine with your funeral, didn't I?>

-Sholto then goes off to bury the arm-
