and almost reflexively compressed his phone from the sides with one hand, his jealousy almost begetting a facepalm. But he calmed himself enough to not be so petty.
He merely typed up about 13 deep breath-counts worth of angry spiels before deleting it all, unsure of what he had ever typed when he was done.

"I can tell from the way you carry yourself that you either hope to become incredibly powerful, or you already are incredibly powerful," Cheren deduced, adjusting his glasses while letting the Pokeball remain in his palm.
"As such, I shall battle you like I would someone who is incredibly powerful," he reasoned, replacing the Pokeball with a different Pokeball before throwing it.
Cinccino landed a short distance in front of him, ready for battle.
