-he shakes his head-

Ever: So I tried to talk her out of it, but she wanted the information from the base to help out Tagg and the rest of us. Seriously, did you introduce her to Dunsparce or something? And she wouldn't ask anyone else for help, because, uh...she's very dumb sometimes. So instead she went alone, and she seems to have survived.

-his head snaps around at the sound of the voice, and he's already holding Custard's Pokeball-

He felt the Great Balls, feeling the warmer one, the much warmer one, the smooth one, and the one with no defining traits. Knowing which one was which, he grabbed the one with no defining traits.

9-Volt landed a fair distance away, Wise Glasses perched on his face as he then quickly skittered back and forth underneath the Probopass, standing back on his side leaving behind an electrically-charged Sticky Web - Electroweb-Delta - to act as an entry hazard.

Rose: Okay, so, here's the deal.

-Rose is talking with the trial gate people at the base of Mt. Lanakila.-

Rose: I sorta put my island challenge on hold, because of a few complications that were really beyond my control. That said, I'm also with the J-Team, so I kinda want to be there to watch the League challenges, so, uh... am I able to get a pass for that?

-The two gatekeepers look at each other.-

Gatekeeper 1: Uhh...

Gatekeeper A: I don't... think so?

'GK 1: From what we understand, any and all trialgoers are forbidden from scaling Mt. Lanakila until they're worthy of the League.

Rose: Even as an audience member?

GK A: Sorry, I don't want to disappoint our boss. That's just how it is, ma'am.

Rose: ...That's a little absurd.

GK 1: Hey, wait, aren't you Team Skull's new boss?

Rose: Wha— no, I'm not—

GK A: Huh, come to think of it, you do look really familiar.

-They pull out their phone and scroll through their pictures, before showing one to their partner.-

-They move the barricades, and the two step through.-

-They step onto the elevator up the mountain.-

The door took everyone straight downstairs, into the last room, there was a soft blue glow inside, the floor covered in ink. Sam stood up and grumbled, "Ink... ink... ink! I swear when I die! I'm gonna stop working in the art medium in the afterlife! Does the Afterlife have Radio? Wait it's been a few years, are there fancy new mediums out now?"

In the center of the room, there it was, the Ink Machine complete. It was a large device continuously pumping, ink flowing through it's pipes, long metal arms out stretched.

Sam cricked his back, Petey looked about as his 'trainer' walked forward, "Okay Alan come out! I know you mentioned immortality with this thing and clearly it's done something! You can't hide-" *crick*

Sam looked down, in a old tattered suit, there lay a skeleton, ink splotches over it, one of the metal arms struck right through it's back and ribcage. "Wait... Alan?"

Sam inspected the skeleton, "Wait wait wait... this can't be right... Alan said he'd live forever..."

The plane landed on the runway, a crew awaiting, one of them being a tall brunette woman wearing a white spacesuit, "Seems our new recruit is here," she said to two robots. A Blue humanoid and a Green almost tank like design.

The island was busy, another unmanned Rocket flew into the sky, headed for Mars. Planes landing and flying out, humans, pokemon, and robots piloted by Porygon all active.

It seemed there were a few bright orange robots with white eyes, those must have been rotom piloted.

Carol stretched her hand out to Super Nerd. "Welcome to Asimov's Island, I'm Carol Barton."

Silas sat down on a stump, cross legged and calm, he was getting a bit of practice in. Hacks had let up on the physical training, claiming they were there and it was time to move forward.

So Silas was relaxing, that was what it looked like anyways. If anyone had been focusing on his face, they'd see his eyelids closed and a soft blue glow coming from underneath.

Amber had bet the others she could sneak up on Silas and push him into the creek, claiming that "I am the sneakiest of us!" before hand. Thinking she had been out of earshot of her trainer, she had kinda forgotten sound travels, and Silas's ears were now pretty sensitive.

He had known, and felt it was a good chance to practice his senses, monitoring the world just through the control of aura. He liked knowing where things were, and being able to see beyond himself.

Amber was close, Silas had to admit, he couldn't hear her footsteps, and if it wasn't for this Aura Sight ability (Hacks stated the name and term was often debated over) she'd probably have succeeded. Though really, shoving him into water? So simple, that was probably the point though.

Amber leaped, Silas ducked out of the way, and opened his eyes to watch his friend go flying. Her expression changed, shock stretched across, a single thought on display, "How?!"

Into the water she went, Silas smirking, "Really? Wanted to do something simple now?"

"Yeah, so did [Linus Pauling] - right, you weren't around for that. Basically he OD'd on vitamins because he thought he'd become immortal, but that's not relevant." Colton said, looking at the wrought carnage.

"If I were to guess, I'd wager that rather than being contained in ink like formaldehyde would do to him, he was instead poisoned or asphyxiated by it. How did you first die, before you became re-animated - badum tish." He asked, sizing up the machine to find the best way to destroy or deactivate it.

"Well, given that this one appears to have killed Alan and the other one may be responsible for bringing Zach and Lena to life," the Unovan remarked. "I'd say this was a semi-functional prototype or a Version 2 that went wrong in more ways than one.

"But that still leaves a question in the back of my mind," Colton considered. "If Sam's soul is in Terry, and whatsername's is in Lena, then who's in Petey and Zach? Who else was on the casualty list?"

Sam looked it over, "This can't be right. I died from the first ink attack, killed by Zachary... Alan hadn't been seen in... 3... days..."

A thick glop noise was heard, and there behind them reforming was Zachary, "Please... stop. R-resisting! You're. Only making it. Angrier!" Zachary growled out in a even more familiar voice.

Sam quickly dug through his tapes, not noticing two green lights appearing in the Skeleton's sockets, as ink bound it together, and it started to stand up.

*Click* "My ink Machine will help us bring more life into our animations, especially with this new special blend. I got the idea after going exploring for a bit and finding this old suit of armor coated with this substance, when I touched it... it showed me images of great potential! But the ink can only be blended by a special machine, so I made it... My Ink Machine."

The Ink machine began to churn and pump faster, the skeleton now upright and looking over everyone, as Zachary, barely holding together got forward, "Walt... you. Fucker." Zachary growled.

"What about you, [Vega]?" Colton sniped, standing in between the skeleton and Walt, anger flowing through him with enough force for his Obscura to potentially flare. "Ready to throw the ones you employ under the rug for your "potential", alienating everyone to the point of further insanity, and holding hatred for Walt for no seeming reason?!!?" He punctuated. "This is your purgatory and you fucking deserve it!"

Rei materialized in front what very well could have been a specter, knowing how the type matchup would end. Colton nodded to Walt, debating wether he should also let Zachary get involved.

Fuck it. "You know you could have probably just used your words?" He remarked as he looked to the Ink-llusion Fox. "Meh, we got a common threat now." He was unsure if he could use Obscura, but he would be ready to throw down regardless.

So why he looked more contemplative, counting his pose was anyone's guess.
