PEFE!Every: Way back when I joined I managed to convince one of the new recruits that he'd need to cut off a finger. But it ended up getting a little...out of hand, and it turned out I was behind on the games anyway.

Celeste: <Wait, what happened?>

Basket: <I had always wondered when Dr. Spinner became a cyborg, but it seemed rude to ask...>

Fuego: <Now they'll have to renew the books in person. And we'll be    ready    for them.>

-he swings his bone menacingly-

Diane: Hey, considering Tagg's notorious tests, I don't blame him for thinking that's serious. Besides, cyborgs are cool, even if your finger's the only part of you that's cybernetic. As long as, y'know, it's not horrific Pokefutures-style experimentation with a [NORSE] code-naming scheme or anything like that.

Malie PEFE

PEFE!Every: (to Basket) Yeah, I don't think I'm bragging when I say he's better off now.

-she hears Diane and shudders-

PEFE!Every: Don't even joke about those things. Between them and the Scythermen I had nightmares after watching that one episode of Stefan Galaxy.

<Yeah, GG,> Colton decided. As if by stage cue, he felt his body a little bit differently. The kid blamed fatigue, and by a stretch, that may have been responsible for the bright lights in his eyes.

But the kid knew better. He felt the little fluff around his neck ascend upwards towards the back of his head. He felt his muzzle stretching out for a better vantage for Bite Crunch. He felt his body lengthening as well, almost becoming streamlined if it weren't for the little lock of hair in front of his face bothering him somewhat.

When the lights around him faded, his fur had taken on an orange hue, as if his original brown coloration had become faded.

<Mmf! Yeah, bay-beh!> He cheered. <I wonder how Sylveon's doing.>

<Now the way you assemble hands in this game is different,> Sylveon started. <after you look at your cards, you can place your bets. After that round finishes, a card is "burned" - don't actually incinerate it, porker, it just means set aside without revealing it,> Sylveon warned. <you bet again. But then you repeat twice, revealing only one card instead of three twice and burning another card in between to make five cards face-up in the center of the table.> She finished.

-Nico is suddenly blipped in in full X-Naut regalia-

Nico: Crap! Am I too late?

Diane: Which episode? Skitty Fingers or the ones with the hand creatures?

PEFE HQ

Nico: Oh good, I'm not.

-He taps Maggie on the shoulder with his staff as if knighting her-

-Maggie chuckles a bit as Nico comes in-

Maggie: "Nope, just in time for the big moment."

-Se then smiles as the speech is given and the necklace is placed-

Maggie: "And I hope to do good research to uphold that."

PEFE!Every: Uh, both of those are horrifying. Just...you know, anything with, like, added bits. Don't like it.

-she continues applauding for Maggie-

Congratulations! Keep in mind some of the living pods are inside a teleportation disruptor field so let that inform your housing choices!

Ever: I...uh, okay. I think I get it.

Malie PEFE

-Nico claps as well-

Nico: Congrats! Reasearch the hell out of 'em, Maggie!

-She applauds as well, as does Echo-

-Nods-

And now that that's over, we can all go to the door on the left to get some refreshments.

PEFE!Every: Oh, huh. I could probably use refreshments. I haven't eaten in...

-she thinks about this for a bit-

Four or five days?

-she wanders off to acquire food-

Kamdida: -hearing PEFEvery- <...Yeah, that's the reason I'm giving that place one hell of a wide berth.>

-Maggie smiles after hearing Nico and then hears Tagg-

Maggie: "Yeah, right, refreshments time!"

Diane: Four or five days? Geez, don't tell me we've got another Skye here.

-She heads inside to grab a bite to eat.-

PEFE!Every: What's a Skye? Anyway, I'm fine, I've just been busy lately. Being shot at, being blackmailed, planning a raid on an old Cipher compound, that sort of thing.

-she begins collecting food, possibly bumping into Echo in the process-

Malie PEFE

-Nico also starts gathering food and may bump into people-

Diane: ...Geez. You sure have a lot on your plate, don't you? Believe it or not I did not intend that pun.

-Echo is bumped into, but isn't particularly bothered. However, something PEFE!Every says catches her attention.-

Echo: Hmm? A raid on a Cipher base? That doesn't sound particularly like it's for PEFE research reasons, unless you're trying to find better ways to combat Shadowfication.

Malie PEFE

PEFE!Every: -blinks at Diane a couple times- ...Yes, I suppose so?

-she hears Echo-

PEFE!Every: Um, well, actually, I'm not currently working for PEFE, I got stuck in Alola and I joined an evil team called Mobius by sort-of-accident because they said they could help get me home and then while I was researching I got covered in faller sauce and an Ultra Beast tried to kill me and then this creepy guy with a parka said he'd help me out if I stole a flash drive for him and I agreed because I didn't know how to fix it myself but then it turned out to be really easy so basically I got played and now I have to steal a flash drive from an old Cipher base which is kind of terrifying because I don't know how to do that and my body double who's sometimes my friend said they won't help me because they don't want to deal with Cipher again so yeah...

-Echo blinks and smiles-

Echo: Ah, so you're the young woman Tagg was talking about when he mentioned having an informant in Mobius? That explains a lot.

Diane: I sure am missing a lot from my module, huh?

Kukui: "You ready, Snorlax?"

-The Snorlax lazily nods.-

Kukui: "Alright! So Liz, you're gonna want to do the same pose you do for a Waterium-Z Z-Move, then I need Christina to hold her bubble in the air, yeah? Then Magnezone and I are gonna use a beam-variant of Gigavolt Havok, and after it hits you can drop the bubble on Snorlax."

Elizabeth: "You got it, Professor."

-Christina begins singing as a large water bubble forms above her head. Meanwhile, the Snorlax uses Protect while Kukui does the Electric Z-Pose.

-Christina gestures, and the bubble moves over the Snorlax.-

Elizabeth: "Keep it up!"

-Christina begins singing once more, a single, clear, sustained note.-

-The Opertta bubble begins to spark and crackle as electricity hits it.-

Kukui: "Now, drop it!"

-The electrified water bubble collapses upon the Snorlax. While the Protect helps, the Snorlax is still damaged pretty good.-

Kukui: "Yeah, that's it! I'm going to make sure Snorlax is okay."

-He moves towards the Snorlax...who has fallen asleep (not because of the duel Z-Move, mind you).-

Kukui: "Looks like Snorlax is all tuckered out, yeah! Thanks for the help, girls!"

Elizabeth: "No problem, Professor."
