Ever: (to Gudrunn) Anyway, as long as you're not planning to destroy anything, you're probably cool.

PEFE!Every: So getting back on the topic of alternate universes—

Ever: Girl, chill.

PEFE!Every: I can't! This is interesting! (she turns to Gudrunn) Hi, sorry, I work for an organization that studies the multiverse. Which apparently exists.

Ever: Wait, what?

Gudrunn: You are? Amazing!

Gina: -to Reina- You think something's up with this kid too?

Ever: I think she's harmless. I think.

PEFE!Every: So how did you arrive in this universe?

Seafolk Village

Gudrunn: Well, I was doing a ritual to draw upon the power of a Glitch, the ritual got messed up, this strange misty figure appeared and summoned an Ultra Wormhole before dissapearing, out popped a Nihilego that kidnapped me, and what do you know, I wound up here in this time and place with no memories.

-She pulls out her Beast Ball-

I caught the Nihilego responsible recently, though I still have to tame them.

-Ever takes several steps back, dragging PEFE!Every with him-

PEFE!Every: Hey! Let go of me!

Ever: (to Gudrunn) Yeah, okay, that explains a whole lot.

PEFE!Every: It does?

Ever: I'll tell you later. Well, it's been nice, but we'll see you later, okay? Good luck with your Nihilego!

-and he and PEFE!Every are once again, both gone-

-Gudrunn blinks, then shrugs and heads off-

-The Enforcers exchange worried glances then follow-

PEFE!Every: How'd we get here?

Ever: Ghosts. It just happens sometimes.

PEFE!Every: ...Huh. Wait.

-she remembers her train of thought-

PEFE!Every: Why'd you drag me off like that? I was close to actually getting some answers.

Ever: Yeah, I don't think we want answers from her. You heard her mention something called Nihilego, right?

PEFE!Every: Vaguely. Is that a native Pokemon?

Ever: Not exactly. It's something called an Ultra Beast. It's like, an extradimensional equivalent to a Pokemon, I think? They're obscenely powerful, though, and almost universally hostile. One of them took my arm—

-he wiggles the stump to demonstrate-

Ever: And another took over Mezzo's mind for a while. I think that was the Nihilego kind, actually. It has some sort of neurotoxin that—

-he looks at PEFE!Every, whose eyes are literally sparkling-

Ever: I've been saying entirely the wrong things to dissuade you from trying to learn more about these, haven't I?

PEFE!Every: Yeah, pretty much.

Ever: ...Stay safe, okay?

PEFE!Every: You know me.

Ever: ...Not that well, no.

PEFE!Every: Yeah, let's keep it that way. Rotary!

Ever: Oh Zekrom, watch over the fools, the children, and apparently the scientists.

-Mason has finally acquired a map, and is looking over it.-

Mason: I guess the desert would definitely make it harder for word of Tapu Bulu's disappearance to get out until it's far too late...

Mako: <We could always, y'know, actually go ourselves. I'm desert-proof! Have been all my life, and yet!>

-Shaun and Tsunami are strolling past when the former stops.-

Shaun: "I'm sorry, did you just say Tapu Bulu disappeared?"

Tapu Village

-Mason looks up-

Mason: From what I hear. I haven't been able to find out many details. If someone did something to it, it sure was a clever decision to choose the one that hides itself in a desert that nobody wants to navigate through.

-He groans and puts away the map-

Mason: For all I know, it's just people jumping to conclusions, though.

Shaun: "That would make sense. But only one way to find out!"

Tsunami: <Are we->

Shaun: "Yes."

Tsunami: <After the Ruins of L->

Shaun: "Mmhmm."

[[blue: Tsunami]: <Last tims you got lost in the desert.>

Shaun: "Well I guess we won't get lost this time."

-Tsunami sighs.-

-a familiar face comes into Mezzo's view-

Pianis: Piano? What are you doing there?

Mezzo: Becoming one with the void.

Pianis: ...Are you all right?

Mezzo: I'm fine.

Pianis: Then will you get up?

Mezzo: No.

Mezzo: What are you doing here anyway?

Pianis: I heard some weird rumors. Wanted to make sure you were all right.

Yukikaze: <And he was bored of following Forte around.>

Pianis: And I was— yeah, what he said.

Mezzo: Rumors? Do I want to know?

Pianis: Something about tentacles.

-Mezzo just groans-

-Mason blinks-

Mason: ...Are you saying you actually want to go to the desert? The desert called Haina Desert? Haina, the word for "cruel", implying that this particular desert is awful and bad and everyone in the village seems to agree trying to navigate is a bad idea? Just, on a whim like this?

Shaun: "Why not? Sure it's a pain in the ass, but Nami's not bothered by it, and I've gone once before. Piece of cake."

Tapu Village

-Mason stares.-

Mako: <Yep, that's a death wish.>

Mason: ...Well, if you say so, having an ally or two will definitely make it a lot easier. If we're doing this, guess I should get your name, then.

-He extends a hand for a handshake-

Mason: Name's Mason. The Gabite's Mako.

“Ya know,” Colton began while walking through the hallway with Ammy. “I woulda ‘ppreciated ya givin’ meh a warnin’ ‘bout trailin’ me ta Aethah.” His Castelian accent was resurfacing.

PEFE!Every: Hey, would you mind recounting your experiences with Nihilego venom?

Rotary: <The answer is almost certainly going to be yes, you know that, right?>

-Mezzo just stares at PEFE!Every-

Mezzo: Go away.

Pianis: Nihiwhat venom?

Mezzo: You go away too.

PEFE!Every: Nihilego. It's apparently something called an Ultra Beast, and it's from another dimension, and it secretes neurotoxin, and it can take over people's minds. I was talking to Ever, and they brought up that this happened to you, and since I'm currently working for an organization studying the multiverse, I figured that someone who had experienced the effects of the venom of an extradimensional biological organism would be a good place to start.

I'm not going to go away until you answer my questions.

Mezzo: Fine, yes, I encountered a Nihilego. I guess I must have been poisoned or something because I fell in love with it.

Pianis: ...Wait, that's actually true?

Mezzo: No, but that's the easiest way to describe it. Now will you go away?

PEFE!Every: You fell in love with it? Okay...

-she takes a few notes on a notepad-

PEFE!Every: What did it look like? How did it communicate? Did it adhere to our laws of physics?

Alyesha smiled, squattnig down to properly pat the Vulpix, deciding to play along

Krasnaya continued to watch the spectacle, and while she would still not admit it, if one were to look to her from above it was clear by now she enjoyed it.

Mezzo: It looked like a hat. A glass hat, with tentacles. Lots of tentacles. And it communicated in these... symbols? Except it pronounced them somehow. Uh, I don't even know how to explain it exactly. But it didn't talk like a normal Pokémon.

Pianis: And you say you fell in love with this thing?

Mezzo: It was poisoning me! And well, she did look pretty.

PEFE!Every: Hm. Sounds a little like a Tentacool.
