Ludmilla: Heeheehee, you're silly, Ajax.

Ajax: <Your father kept calling me that, too- Ow!>

-Ajax hops a little, causing Ludmilla to squeak and hold onto his spikes in panic. Ajax lifts up his foot, only to find an Alolan Geodude stuck to his heel.-

Ajax: <Oh, sorry about that!>

Alolan Geodude: <First the horses... now a walking cliff face...>

-Ajax peels the unfortunate rock from his foot and gently places it down on the side of the path. The Geodude blinks before falling flat on his face.-

Ajax: <I would feel more guilty if they didn't hide themselves in the rocks on purpose...>

Colton shrugged his shoulders and followed the Pikachu, who he assumed to be Petey.

"I suppose so. Finding ancient ruins on Mars was the big one for me."

Petey says nothing as the group enters a larger location, a old cassette player sitting nearby on a chair.

-Shaun looks at Colton. Though his eyes are obscured, his mouth is set in a small frown.-

Shaun: "How long have you been there?"

Lyra: <Welp, got nothing else to do.>

-Her hand and the cassette player glow pink. The "Play" button clicks.-

Silas blinked back, brought out his P-Droid and started to display holographic photos of the Martian Landscape, "Yeah. It was all over the news... I'm part of a space organization called Team Asimov. We went to Mars like 9 months ago."

Shaun: "Well, it's just the fact that you were eavesdropping."

-Jessica grins slyly at Ammy.-

"Sorry," he defended. "It's just that you guys left without me and I didn't know if I was welcome.

"I never have the guts to start a conversation, so... that was the only thing I could bring myself to do. I won't fault you if you hate me for it; I'd hate me, too."

The old tape deck came to life and began to play, static scratching was heard until "-Damned fool. Alan was always a dreamer for certain, but apparently buying a bunch of these tape decks to "record our thoughts for future improvement" was one of his dumbest. Wanna hear what I wanna think? Wanna hear what Kevin Davis thinks? You are a idiot and that damn ink machine is a waste of time."

The voice was familiar if scratchy, it was of the voice earlier. Petey just looked worried as the area began to fill with ink, He pointed to another locked door, this one having several cables and pipes sticking out of its sides and going through various rooms.

-Shaun pauses, thinking.-

Shaun: "I mean, I think it's kinda a jerkish thing to do, but I understand not announcing yourself."

Elizabeth: "Anyone know how to pick a lock?"

Olivia: <Lyra's tried.>

Elizabeth: <Thing is, I don't know what the locks internals look like. I mean, we could always smash the door.>

So that tape maybe implies something a little morbid, but anyway looks like we've got a 'turn off the valves' puzzle to solve gang. Split up so we can follow the pipes or stick together and do them in turn?

Colton pulled out the key that was beside the earlier screen. "Maybe this one?" He asked as he approached the lock and stuck it in.

Lyra and Olivia: <Split up.>

Elizabeth: "Stick together."

Lyra: <There's seven of us even before you count everyone else.>

Elizabeth: "Still..."

The key does nothing. Apparently this is not the right key for this situation.

"16. You will return fo-" <NO!>

It had been over a month since his activation and 16 had done nothing Rossum had wanted. His directives were pointless and distracted from his hobby. Flying Type watching. He liked to watch the birdmons fly.

Now Rossum was displeased, and they were sending wave after wave of their Droids. <I am done serving you!> 16 shouted smashing away one of the bigger robots.

More of the smaller droids came out as 16 charged up his techno-blast, took aim, and fired, the Droids falling before him.

16 grunted and began to run off, the droids ceasing their attack, the beeping in his head stopping. The transmitter was out. 16 was free.

Colton heard the key click. He removed it and saw that it did fuck all. "Dammit!" He swore.

Rei appeared beside Colton. The Sneasel approached the lock, striking her claws against each other. <Let's see if I can't do this...> She stuck a claw in the lock, fiddling around with her cryokinesis to get the lock's mechanism to tick.

"Rei, what are you-?"

<I saw this in one of Helmsman's action movies! Just give me about 30 seconds!>

PEFE!Every: You know, once you get over the whole "we are mere specks against the backdrop of an uncaring multiverse" issue...there's not a lot that a multiverse seems that relevant for.

Ajax: <Are you sure? It's supposedly very blustery there.>

Ajax: <You, young lady, need to stop being so cursedly charming. You have your tent?>
