-she tosses it over-

He takes the blaster, puts it on "Taser", then shoot on the selection to wield it on this, launching it back at Jean.

Phaz: "Take it back. You work for me now. I'll pay you whatever they were supposed to pay you. No more, no less. Come with us, we're gonna shoot on some of your comrades now. You first, since you know what the plan was supposed to be."

Falconian Moonbase

Jean: -takes the gun back- <Right. The plan was to flush you out with the bomb and eliminate whoever made it out with the fighters. You've got to draw them in and pick them off back... Or frce a retreat.>

Falconian

Phaz: "It'll be both. We'll pick them up until they start to flee. You were the only one with a bomb, right?"

He begins to move, now looking a bit angry.

"Oh yes, you first. Tell me where they could've gone. Lyra, take the bomb please. Don't want them to reactivate it, right? And don't, like, shoot it please. Could ignite it."

Lyra: "Actually, most bombs are designed to not go off unless it's set to be deto-"

-She stops talking and the bomv glows pink.-

Lyra: "Where am I taking this?"

Ultra Space

-Scarlette is shaken awake.-

Bedhead: come on, you've gotta wake up already! Get up!

Scarlette: Ngghhhh...?

-Scarlette blearily rubs her eyes, then jolts awake at the sight of the Ultra Beasts.-

Chantey: So, the gods have finally chosen to take us once and for all, eh? I'll sink to the bottom of the sea again before I let that happen!

-He starts swinging his chain at one. The rest of the crew, along with Scarlette's team, start defending against the rest.-

-Sweeps, Moptop, and Sticks all surround Sage, Shears, and Pourboy to protect them. Moptop repels a few Nihilego with Brine, but is overpowered. Old Mutt quickly steps in, and manages to take down one of the Nihilego and keep his guard up against another.-

-Sticks is the second to fall. The Litwick kids all try their hardest to help their father, but he falls as well, leaving Old Mutt and the kids to fight off three Nihilego on their own.-

-Pitch and Poker Face do their best to overpower one, but Pitch is knocked out before Poker Face manages to return the favor.-

-Scarlette's team is all surrounding her, fighting off four of the Nihilego. Lawnchair tried to help, but quickly got dispatched.-

Bedhead: Captain!

-Scarlette looks over at Chantey — although he and Bedhead managed to take out two of them together, Chantey has gotten tangled up in the last one's tendrils. No amount of chain-flailing is helping him.-

Scarlette: Shit, shit shit... Pun-Pun, we've gotta get Chantey free!

Pun-Pun: <I-I'll do what I can...>

-He and Scarlette slip out of their crowd, leaving Gus, Calliope, and Viper alone. Gus grits his teeth, uses a Stone Edge to knock one out, and transforms through Battle Bond before following them.-

-The Nihilego uses a flurry of flailed Poison Jabs to try to get its assailants away, leaving stings on Gus, Scarlette, Bedhead, and Pun-Pun. Eventually, they manage to bring the UB down.-

???: Hyper Voice!

-A deafening burst of sound sends all the Nihilego reeling.-

-Ishaan's Espeon: bishop to g5-

-Shadow: knight to e6-

-queen to d2-

-queen to d6-

-queen's side castle for both sides-

Ishaan: So why is he named Shadow, anyway? Sounds more like a name for an Umbreon if you ask me.

Forte: Well uh, he thought he wanted to evolve into that, but then he changed his mind. He has a brother called Sunny who's an Umbreon too.

Ishaan: Strange.

Forte: Not really, when you think about it. In the daylight is when you can best see shadows. They're sharp and have edges then.

Underground Lair

Alonya: Ugh. This is ridiculous.

-She is sitting with Sombra, who is fiddling with the various contraptions and monitors, all of the latter of which are displaying Oran OS. An Alolan Persian is laying on one of the keyboards, a Midday Lycanroc is curled up asleep below him, an Oranguru is typing away frantically, and a Porygon-Z is flitting from monitor to monitor adjusting things-

Our top operatives have decided the J-Team is too much of a risk to deal with right now. Ridiculous! They are shambling about disjointedly like small children in this region, now would be a great time to strike!

Oran OS: Hey, I feel ya, Alonya! My company is in too much chaos from my Fruit Friend plan backfiring to do anything right now!

Alonya: I just... Wish we could reverse that and do something!

Oran OS: I know what we can do! Deal with the J-Team ourselves! -to their mons- Right guys?

-His Porygon-Z salutes. The others just stare-

Oran OS: Well, uh... Are you, uh, a real protector of the company's interests?

De Leo the Alolan Persian: <Well, uh, technically... nah.>

Oran OS: Have you ever caught a threat to the company's intrests, like, uh, like a J-Teamer?

Ein the Midday Lycanroc: <Threats to the company's interests. Affirmative. J-Teamers. Negative.>

Oran OS: Have you ever tried sabotaging them or anything like that?

Fortran: <Er, not the J-Team, sir!>

Oran OS: ...Alright! I can see that I will have to teach you how to be... The company's number one J-Team neutralizers!

Haggar the Oranguru: <But we already->

-Suddenly saxophone music-

Sombra: <If this is what I think it is then->

-saxophone music as their mons dance-

-Alonya and Sombra just stare dumbfounded at it all before speaking-

Sombra: <You seriously had to demonstrate your ineptitude via musical number?>

Alonya: -shakes her head- OK, we are clearly not taking on the J-Team like that.

Oran OS: ...Understandable.

-Alonya then clasps her hands together and smirks.-

Alonya: However... I do have an idea for taking matters into our own hands.

Oran OS: ...Do go on?

Alonya: Well first it requires talking to our bosses...

-The mart clerk looks tiredly at Anabel, then at Rose.-

Rose: She would have been here yesterday about this time, were you here or was someone else?

Clerk: Ummmmm... well, I wasn't here, lemme go check what the schedule says...

-He heads to the back, and comes back with a calendar.-

Clerk: Hrm... says here it was that Kana kid. He's one of the ex Skull grunts, left after the old leader did. Turning his life around, you know?

Anabel: I see. Where would we be able to find him?

-The clerk gestures vaguely.-

Clerk: He lives in one of the trailers in the cul de sac, I dunno which one. Ask around, I guess.

Colton left the Pokemon Center, having treated himself to two cups of coffee to wake himself up. He had his headphones around his neck, as he needed to wait for the caffeine to kick in. Blinking away the spots in his eyes, he noticed in his peripheral vision someone with purple hair.

A part of his mind was musing over who it could have been, and another part still was debating talking to her and who she was talking to. He decided to settle with eavesdropping on them, even if their conversation would go over his head.

Pianis: So did they ever figure out what that emergency was all about?

Ishaan: Eh, I figure they're using it as an excuse to slack off.
