Forte: Wow, that's pretty. I dunno how things are going back home, but seeing people celebrate is always nice, you know?

-Shadow, rather than paying attention to the fireworks, is reading a book on chess openings-

-Celeste then walks over, holding a book in her ribbons-

Celeste: <Hey Forte, uncle Shadow... do you know anything about magic?>

Forte: Magic? What?

Shadow: <Yes. Psionics are clearly superior.>

Celeste: <Oh. 'Cause I wanted to learn some...>

Forte: Wait, magic isn't real.

-Celeste tilts her head-

Celeste: <It's not? But what about things like Moonblasts and everyone else's stuff? And how come uncle Shadow plays that card game and talks about mages so much?>

Shadow: <That's fictional.>

Forte: Um...

-Celeste tilts her head further-

Forte: Well uh, I don't know. There's stuff like that that Pokémon do naturally like special attacks and stuff, but I dunno if I'd call it "magic". Though I guess... there are a lot of stories about people with Pokémon abilities. Like, I know some people are psychic... but psychics and magic aren't really the same thing.

Celeste: <Why not?>

Forte: Um...

Shadow: <Psychic abilities are more useful and reasonable. Besides, magic is just what people call things when they don't know how they work.>

Forte: Yeah, what Shadow said.

-Celeste tilts her head the other way-

Celeste: <I'm confused.>

Mount Hokulani, definitely now

-At the observatory, Shaun will instead find Alex and Shizuo attwmpting to play charades-

-Key word being attempting-

Alex: Ooh, a toaster! No, a Swanna! Oh, mabye a Joltik?

-Shizuo in frustration rips off part of a railing and starts beating things with it-

Ooh! An angry Primape!

-they both notice Shaun-

Alex: Uh, I think Shaun wants something.

Shizuo: Uh, hey Shaun.

 Abandoned Site, past 

-As the foul ghost fae proved more and more annoying, Tagg found himself at wit's end. It was then that Botuli decided to step up-

Botuli: <Okay, ghost, it's time to take your medicine!>

-For you see, as Botuli started glowing, the Alolan Grimer had actually been holding back her evolution for the longest time, for whatever reason feeling bored with the whole thing. But with victory on the line, she couldn't do that anymore. As the glow subsided, and Botuli took on her new vibrant form, the now Alolan Muk glared at her opponent. (Tagg, on the other hand, wasn't quite sure whether or not it was Botuli's new vibrancy or this whole Trial that was making him feel ill)-

Botuli: <Take this!>

-Botuli's Poison Jab struck true, and the Mimikyu stood quietly for several seconds... only to let out one more wicked laugh and faint... as the room started shifting between the Spirit World and the material plane once again, the Mimikyu's laughter somehow still filling the air-

Alex: He was practicing Z-Moves with Alli.

Shizuo: We were going to head to Tapu Village soon. Why?

Shaun: "Oh, I wanted to talk to him about something. And if he agrees, good thing you're heading to the village.

Alex: -thumbs- He's that way.

Shizuo: Mind if we follow you there?

Shaun: "Sure. Come to think of it, it's probably best if you guys come too."

-He begins walking in the direction Alex pointed.-

-Tagg stumbled into one of the guest rooms at the crack of dawn after completing the Trial, a Ghostium-Z clutched in his hand. Following their exit, they were greeted by Acerola, who claimed to have no knowledge of a back door Spirit Room portal (Which Tagg was convinced was Taurosshit, but after the whole fiasco he didn't feel like seriously arguing about it). Left with an ominous statement from Acerola that the next time wouldn't be as easy, Tagg and his mons made their way over to this place. Now, they could finally have some peace, or so it seemed...-

Mimikyu: -Staring at them from outside the window- <...>

-A Mimikyu, but not the Totem they'd fought. But what did it want?-

Mimikyu: -Glaring- Me... me... curse... you...

...

-Tagg at this point was convinced that he wouldn't get any sleep until he'd plastered every entrance to the room with ofuda. Once that was done, he and his mons drifted off into a most unrestful sleep...-

-He leans against a wall, waiting for them to finish.-

-The Power Gem strikes Gracie, dealing a far chunk of damage-

Ahe: Alright, Gracie, let's do this!

-Ahe strikes a different pose from Nanu's-

Gracie: <A-alright then...>

Gracie surrounds herself with her Z-Power!

Gracie unleashes her full-force Z-Move!

Savage Spin-Out

-Gracie shoots the Persian with webbing, wrapping it in a cocoon with a single strand connected to her arm. Gracie then flings the Persian into the air and lunges at the Persian, slashing through the webbing-

Hokulani Observatory

-Eventually, Alli strikes a pose, and Waddles delivers an All-Out Pummeling that knocks out the Alolan Geodude-

Alli: Yessss!

Waddles: <Woo!>

Locke: Better luck next time, Torbjorn...

Torbjorn: <It'll be more'n just luck next time, I guarantee it!>

-the two recall their mons before noticing the others-

Locke: Shizuo! Alex! Shaun! Nice to see you here!

-And with the Savage Spin Out, the Persian goes down-

Hajime: "Well..."

"Z-Moves are definitely... a thing. Wonder what the Grass one looks like..."

-Nanu cracks a grin as he recalls his Persian-

Nanu: "Guess you've beaten me. Here's your prize."

-He tosses Ahe a Darkinium Z-

Shaun: "Hey Locke, Alli. I need to talk to you. All four of you guys."

Malie Outskirts

-Ahe catches the Darkinium Z-

Ahe: Thank you, officer. I guess the pose is the same one you used?

Nanu: "It is, yeah."

Holukani Observatory

Alli: What is it?

Shaun: "Two things, but here's the first and most important. I don't know if Gudrunn's told you somehow, but she's the Sorceress of the Warp and got dragged here by a Nihilego when doing a ritual to become a glitch- the Calamity Alovye. She failed as a strange misty creature - who I'm almost certain was Chaos, the glitch from Sunyshore and Konikoni - appeared and caused the Sorceress's ritual to open an Ultra Wormhole and led to her being dumped here."
