With everyone ready, Silas boarded them onto the Rover, and drove off.

To say all they had seen was red sand would be a understatement.

"If you can't find anything, feel free to come back, it's been a day since you headed out," Zeke stated over the Com, "We're just about finished the base."

"Yeah, maybe that's a good id-" Silas started, only to be interrupted.

~Hey what's that?~

Silas halted the rover and look over, it was a cave entrance. He blinked before turning back to his crew, and then back to Zeke.

"We may have found something sir, a cave of sorts, permission to explore?"

Zeke shrugged, "If your team wants to."

Sergey: "I would go as well, let me just put on the suit quickly."

"Well, alright. Good luck," Zeke said before the message cut.

Silas pulled up to the cave and got his entire team out, and into their spacesuits, before pulling on his hardsuit himself.

"If your radio cuts out, don't panic, we have tightbeam emitters in the suit Life support packs, just bounce a message off the walls and we'll be fine."

Silas and his team stepped through the airlock, near the cave, the excitement was palpable.

Phaz: "Got it."

He seems really excited about this too. On his side, Cynthia, wearing a Gardevoir Spacesuit.

Silas began the expedition, turning on his suit's head-mounted lamp and leading the way in.

The cave was far bigger than expected, FAR bigger, than expected.

Silas stepped forward and peered over the edge, and was greeted with sparkling green and blue.

"Wait... is that?"

Snakeye whistled, <We knew there were reports of water on Mars, but damn, this lil Mighteyana has been hiding more.>

"Agreed," Silas stated. He looked about the cliff-face and found a descending portion, it was at a good enough angle walking over it would be easy.

He and his team began to descend, getting closer to the ice, Tae grunted.

<It looks too thin.> ~What makes you say that?~ <I'm a water type, I know water levels, I know how much ice is needed before you can't break through it.> ~So the ice here is too thin?~ <Way too thin, and not deep enough. We're not gonna find much here.>

They stopped, Silas took the first step, the ice cracked.

Phaz: "Hmm... Why is it so green? Either there is bacterias or either there is minerals underneath. We should take samples of the soil too, right? Also of the ice, maybe there will be interesting discoveries in it."

He takes a bit of ice and looks in it.

The ice was a thick frosted blue, the part he picked up revealed a sparkling green gem. Silas however backed off, "We might have more of a cavern down there as well, considering what the ice did when I stepped on it."

Phaz: "Right, better safe than sorry." He steps clear of the ice lake, and take a second glance at the small ice chunck. "Hmm... From what I know, this ice may be full of either cobalt or hydrated copper sulphur. The green gem inside might be either peridotite, jade or if we're lucky emerald. I advise we should mark this place on our P-Droid for later. I'm doing this personally."

He is in fact doing so.

Cynthia: ~Since when do you know about geology?~

Phaz: "I know a lot of things that I didn't always learned in school. This is just reminiscences."
