Akami: Falter. Die.
-It charges in, blades glistening in white and boosted red. A leaping strike should bring him close to somewhere he hoped was vital enough to end this battle or at least set someone else up for the coup-de-grace-
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Matvey: <Well if you want you can also join our team, Alyesha's nice and while we're no seafarers it'd be very nice having you around.>
Dhelmise looked to Matvey, then back to Walrein and Qwilfish
Dhelmise: <Heh, lad you're a funny one... then again probably this is my only chance with yer crew ye landlubber.>
He thought for a bit
Dhelmise: <Well, if ye really want me in yer crew then I want to test yet cap first, me old cap was a mighty fine lad and an even finer cap.>
Matvey got up slowly
Matvey: <That seems reasonable I guess. Let me get her.>
A few minutes and a short explanation later
Alyesha: "So, you want to test my skills eh? Well if you want I'm fine with it~"
Dhelmise: <Good, I wanna fight yer first mate.>
He pointed towards Matvey
Dhelmise: <Ye fine with that?>
Alyesha chuckled, saluting
Alyesha: "Aye aye there~ Matvey? You ready then?"
Matvey only nodded with a light smile
Matvey: <Good luck then, I'll be giving it my all.>
Dhelmise: <Mighty fine lad, not holding back meself either.>
Just as he said that Dhelmise used Anchor shot, wrapping his chain around Matvey and inflicting some damage.
Alyesha: "Lets do this then Matvey, Fury Cutter!"
Seeing how near Matvey was to Dhelmise due to the anchor shot hitting him was easy, the answer came promptly in form of an Energy Ball right up his face.
Alyesha: "Quick, Fury Cutter again, try to get out of the chain!"
Matvey: <Roger that~>
Matvey indeed managed to hit again, although not to cut through the chain, at least he now did a bit more damage. Again Dhelmise hurled an Energy Ball back, bringing Matvey's health quite low.
Alyesha looked to him, giving a reassuring grin
Alyesha: "Right, now lets show him what we're made off, Fury Cutter again, maximal power!"
Matvey grinned back at her as he slashed at Dhelmise again, this time even managing to hit a weakspot, critically hitting him and getting out of the chain. Dhelmise staggered back a bit before shortly shaking a bit and tried a Slam, although missed.
Matvey: <Okay, I have a bit of power left, lets do this~ Lets finish him~>
Alyesha: "Haha, roger that Matvey~ Well, you know what to do, one last time Fury Cutter, lay everything you have into it and make it count!"
Matvey grinned, running towards the Dhelmise and slashed at him a last time, Dhelmise staggered back again, although this time he collapsed into the water, floating on the surface.
Matvey all the while lied down again, obviously also not in an all too good shape. Seeing that Alyesha quickly healed him up with a few potions before douing the same for the Dhelmise who actually had to laugh as he was feeling halfway good again.
Dhelmise: <Harr harr, yer a mighty fine lass Alyesha, I wouldn't mind having ye as me new captain if yer don't mind me sharing me stories of me olden days.>
Alyesha shook her head with a smile
Alyesha: "Hihi~ Not at all~ Oh and how should we call you?"
Dhelmise: <Well, me name is Semyon - although most called me Mate~ But since yer all landlubbers Semyon is enough>
Alyesha shook her head with a chuckle
Alyesha: "Got it Semyon~"
Semyon: <Mighty fine that is.>
Alyesha took out a Pokéball from her pocket
Alyesha: "Okay, well you know what this is?"
Semyon: <Aye - looks a bit different than in me times but aye.>
He touched the ball as he was being sucked in followed by a clang.
Alyesha quickly released him again
Alyesha: "Well... welcome to the team then Semyon~"

With that Semyon dove again, quickly making his way towards the wreck of the S.S. Seaborn Spirit and entering it, shortly after he exited it again, carrying a captain's hat. He brought it along with the flowers to the wreck of the lifeboat, placing the hat there before gently placing the flowers on top of it.
For a while he just remained quiet. Silently giving his honor while occasionally looking to the two other Pokémon. Then, as he was just about to leave he noticed a sextant lying on the seabed in the wreck, something he certainly did not notice before, said sextant also emanated a certain warmth and joy, understanding the gesture Semyon thankfully nodded before picking up the farewell token and silently thanking his old captain one last time as he bound the sextant to his body an slowly made his way towards the surface again.
