Ton: Back row, fifteenth from the left, out to that one with the orange flag around it.

Sol: ...I defer to your memory.

Ton: That's where it was. Ooooh, I HATE this! It's right there!

Sol: But-

Ton: I know, I know! But someday...

Sol: Would a good old-fashioned break-in make you feel better?

Ton: I don't need to be distracted.

...but yes. Only a little.

Sol: Brebre?

BreBre the Breloom: <It's interesting... My fighting spirit is somehow rekindled, even though I had never let it die.>

-he clenches a fist-

-Ever, on the verge of tears, is currently talking to another Trainer-

Ever: I'm just trying to help this poor bird become a ghost.

-he holds out Narrow, who chirps in the most heartwrenching manner they can-

-this is largely lost on the other Trainer-

Trainer: Right, I'm only saying that I have no idea who you are, and you somehow appeared behind me and started talking about fairies and curses and ghosts. So you understand that I don't really want to give you directions?

Ever: -muffled screaming-

-meanwhile, Muninn and Pleth are staring up at the Trainer's Mudsdale-

Pleth: <You are...very tall.>

Mudsdale: <Thank you for noticing.>

Ever may notice a small stone with a hole in the center of it in his pocket.

A note is attached.

Seafolk Village

-Ever does indeed notice the stone, and takes it out of his pocket-

Ever: ...Huh.

-he attempts to peer through it at the other Trainer, who takes this as an exit cue and flees-

Muninn: <Pleth, do you think this is purgatory?>

Pleth: <Well, you're here.>

Hau'oli City

Alli: -looks where Phaz indicated- Oh!

-takes the egg and cradles it as it cracks more and more until...-

-...A baby Turtonator pops out-

Turtonator: <Tuuuuurt!>

Alli: Sweet! A noot noot turtle!

Locke: Just what kind of Pokemon is she anyway?

Huginn: <She's a Turtonator. Live on one of the other islands of Alola. They have explosive shells and are also apparently dragons. Wouldn't expect such creatures to be worthy of being dovah but they are.>

Alli: I'm going to call you Mine Turtle!

Mine Turtle: <Tor!>

Soujin: -to Phaz- "Yeah, same..."

-to Locke- "It was, yeah."

-to Alli- "Huh, cool."

Hau'oli

Mine Turtle: -turns her head toward Soujin- <Turt?>

Locke: -does the same- Oh hello. What's your name?

A Ribombee floats up to Ever.

<Oh my, a seeing stone! Not often we get visitors here. Welcome!>

Poni Island

Ever: ...Uh, hi, strange floating bee.

Muninn: <Despite being called a Ribombee, it's actually more closely related to a Venomoth. It's a Fairy-type, too. I wonder...>

Ever: How are you doing, strange floating insect-of-some-description?

The Ribombee head tilts. <I Ann well, thank you traveler. I saw a mark of favor and I came over. Tell me, what court gave you such a favor? Those markings don't belong to our Lady.>

Ever: Well, I ran into a Lady in Violet who called herself Lilac, and she gave me a ride here. I think she gave me this because she liked the story I told her?

Verdant Cavern — Past

-Calliope is critically hit and sent down to the red.-

Calliope: <Of course I'm not having fun! You don't know what "fun" means!>

-Scarlette just sorta... slumps, having nothing to say to Calliope since he keeps attacking before she gets a chance to talk.-

-Nora, meanwhile, is brought down to the low yellow, and Tormented as well.-

Nora: <Okay, that's just uncalled for!>

Rose: Thunder Shock! Maybe you can paralyze one of them before you go down!

-She grins and aims her attack at the Gumshoos-

Ribombee: <You are playing with fire young man. Most of the fairies on this island don't care for the Court of Life. They are fickle and hard to deal with.>

-Ludmilla is rolling in the grass with a sparkly, golden puppy. Doomsday watches, Anastasia watches with boredom, and Hermes is trying to find a time to jump in and join.-

Ludmilla: I got the stick! I got the stick!

Cu Sith: <That's my stick!>

Ludmilla: You want the stick?

Cu Sith: <I want the stick!>

Ludmilla: Go and get it!

-She throws the stick. The Growlithe goes running after it, with Hermes the Pichu right behind her.-

-The stick might end up in someone's immediate personal vicinity.-

Seafolk Village

Ever: ...I mean, that's a fair descriptor. But she did get me here.

Muninn: <After taking your name and extracting a promise of future payment.>

Ever: Hush.

Forte: That was creepy.

Mezzo: Well, I told you not to talk to her.

Forte: But now I know you're gonna hit me!

Mezzo: I wasn't going to, but every time you say that makes me want to a little more. So if I were you, I'd shut up.

Trial Guide: Look, I'm sure setting up camp right in front of me is supposed to be some sort of statement, but there's a Pokémon Center not that far from here.

Pianis: Well, I would be camping on the mountain, but you still aren't letting me through.

Trial Guide: See, there's a reason for that and its—

???: Hi-yah!

-Lily comes in with a flying kick! Thankfully, the guide steps out of the way, and she crashes to the ground-

Lily: Ow!

Trial Guide: Yeah, that's not going to work again.

Pianis: Wait, what's going on?

Lily: Oh, is he not letting you through either?

Trial Guide: I'll be happy to let you both up once you've finished the island challenge.

Lily: Come on, man! How am I supposed to train Snow if you won't let me into the only place in Alola he can evolve?

Snow the Crabrawler♂: <Yeah! You should always let the heroes through!>

Trial Guide: You don't need to evolve a Pokémon to train it.

The Ribombee pales as much as an insect can. <...The Lady in Violet is here? I will grant you one favor, a gift freely given, because I owe a debt to a Court of Life Ribombee, but after that, I have to make myself scarce. Understood?>

Hau'oli City

-The stick bops Tharandul in the head-

Tharandul: <Ow!>

-Kernel has decided to get some sun and is, thus, hanging around here-

Soujin: "Oh, my name's Soujin."

-The Yungoos and Rattata both take decent damage from the Disarming Voice, the latter more than the former-

-The Gumshoos is struck by the Thunder Shock, and does indeed become paralyzed as a result, then is knocked to low health by the Disarming Voice-

-The Disarming Voice, meanwhile, knocks the Raticate out-

Raticate: <Guess that's... it for me...>

Rattata: <Sis!>

-He speeds forth with a Quick Attack at Calliope-

-The Yungoos, meanwhile, looks as the Gumshoos is too paralyzed to attack-

Yungoos: <Hm. Guess I'll do this, then.>

-She goes in for a Bite on Nora-

I feel as though I am mixed up in something a lot bigger than I am.

Ever: Can you please tell me if there are flowers growing on this island that will help me turn my Oricorio into a Ghost-type?

Narrow: <They'd be in a meadow somewhere, and they'd be purple.>

The Ribombee nods. <Indeed there are. Well, good luck with the rest of trying not to die. Here's hoping the Lady in Violet does not favor you too much.>

Ever: ...

-he waits until the Ribombee leaves, before facepalming-

Muninn: <That was a very concerning interaction. If I were you I'd start buying iron.>

Ever: I'll get some Skarmory feathers. Those usually work.

-Muninn hisses-

Ever: Sorry, that was uncalled for.

-he rubs his temples-

Ever: At least we know we're on the right island. Let's just keep going north; I'm sure we'll find it eventually.

Verdant Cavern

-Calliope is sent reeling backward from the Quick Attack-

Calliope: <Oof... that sucked...>

Scarlette: Oh no... Calliope, come back, you did well enough!

-She recalls Calliope, and sends out Gus.-

Scarlette: You ready, Gus? Only a bit more!

Gus: <Ready to do whatever I can!>

-Nora, meanwhile, is brought down to low health, and flinches.-

Nora: <Ow!>

Scarlette: Quick, uh, Bite the Yungoos!

-Gus yips and snaps at the Yungoos-

Swift: It's often just as simple as saying 'I want to continue this interaction, but said interaction is in the past, so I won't reference anything about it I don't know for sure until it's completed.' If you'd rather not, though, that's fine, not everyone's fond of T Sing stuff.

-The Yungoos is brought to low health and flinches in turn-

Gumshoos: <Hey, don't forget about me!>

-She launches a Quick Attack on Nora-

Rattata: <Hm.>

-He goes for a Bite on Gus-
