Scheherezade: "You're right... Lets go see if the library has the book and scram before something bad happens. Because seriously. Last time it was this quiet was Eterna."

-Scheherezade walks up to the desk.-

Scheherezade: "Hello, I was wondering if you could point me to the books on Sinn mythology?"

-She nods to Chie again, then turns toward Valerie-

Lillianna: I suppose I'm having marginally better luck, considering we at least have a couple leads here.

-She heads toward the section Chie indicated in order to search for and retrieve the second book she had mentioned.-

-Ember moved too quickly, and the Bisharp goes down without getting a single move in. The Houndoom takes moderate damage, but is standing strong.

Tex: Thanks, Flash Fire. Now, use-

-Tex turns around, and nearly takes a bullet seed in the back from a Shiftry that snuck in amidst the chaos-

Tex: Scout! Use close combat!

Scout: <Surprise>

-Scout jumps behind the unsuspecting Shiftry, bares his teeth, delivers several devatating bites and headbutts, and finishes the attack with a slam to the ground. The Shiftry lies unconscious-

Scout: <My apologies for that display.>

   Robber   : "Fuck!"

Tex: "You weren't the only one with backup."

Tyrone: Use Aura Sphere, Cairo.

Cairo: <Pew Pew Pew!>

-The Houndoom attempts to dodge, but the spheres had already locked onto their target. The Houndoom stays on his feet in a daze for longer than anyone would have expected, but eventually falls to the ground-

Jacob: -He folds his arms and flushes bright red- "W-Well. It's not really... I mean it is but also because if I don't do it no one is. And I... uh... would very much prefer to have it happen sooner rather than later. It's less me being into weddings and more me being into getting business taken care of."

-He looks aside- "N-Not to say I'm not looking forward to it, but claiming that I'm only working this hard because of the aforementioned desire is entirely inaccurate. Besides, what have you done to make this happen?"

"Whenever you start getting all technical it always means we're on the right track and you're just trying to hide it," said Hikari, giggling

"Not only are you eager but you also want to do it as fast as possible? You must really want to get officially married to Hikari," said Duke, letting out a chuckle

Jacob: -He stiffens and blushes harder, takes in a deep breath, and sighs the blush away- "I suppose that's a factor. ... I never said as fast as possible. You want to take a guess how far in advance the planning advice Ren sent me said to start planning your wedding? Go on, take a guess."

"Somewhere around 9 to 16 months," said Lyuri, keeping a straight face, "I looked it up on the internet."

"That's a lot," said Duke, a little surprised

Jacob: "IF YOU LOOKED IT UP WHY DIDN'T YOU DO ANYTHING????"

Lyuri remained silent while still keeping a pretty impressive poker face

"Anyway, was that all you wanted to know?" asked Duke

Jacob: -Massages his head- "I... I... ugh I... yeah. Yeah that's all I needed to know."

-He leers at Lyuri and Duke- "Anyhow, you can get back to trouncing your fiance, I'm going to go sleep now."

-He turns from the group, waving and walking off-

-Scheherezade and Dunyazade are now looking around for the book, having been helpfully directed where to look by the front desk.-

Dunyazade: ~Why couldn't you just ILL it?~

Schehrezade: "And lose a reason to come here? Please."

Dunyazade: ~Well, hurry up. The library closes in half an hour.~

Scheherezade: "Right."

Somewhere over Mt. Coronet

Sergey and Mistral were thrown around my the storm, the rain blowing in their faces

Sergey: "WE NEED TO GAIN ALTITUDE! IF WE MAKE IT ABOVE THE CLOUDS IT'LL BE BETTER!"

Instead of giving an answer Mistral only flapped harder with her wings, trying everything to gain altitude. Both were soaked by the heavy rain a that point, but they still flew on and indeed managed to slowly gain altitude, but alas, after she gained a bit a particulary strong wind shook them... causing Sergey to lose the package.

Sergey: "NOO! DOWN!"

Like a bullet they went after it and indeed managed to catch it before it would make a nasty impact on the ground slowly they came to a halt... if that could even be said with these winds blowing around.

Sergey: "OKAY, UP AGAIN, I'LL PROMISE THAT I WON'T LOSE IT AGAIN!"

In the roaring winds Mistral desperatly tried everything she could and fought for every meter of altitude she got. After what seemed an eternity for both they indeed emerged above the dark clouds. The winds were still strong, but nothing compared to under the clouds, also of course there was no rain anymore. Sergey sighed in relief.

Sergey: "Thank you so much Mistral, you're the very best flyer I ever saw."

Mistral: <Err thanks...>

They soared through the now clear sky, slowly gaining ground. As they passed Mt. Coronet the thick clouds below them dispersed, allowing oth to see the landscape below them.

Sergey: "Look! Over there, Eterna City is down there."

And indeed, soon after they made ground contact again, both sighing in relief.

Sergey: "I promise you... I'll do everything you want to thank you, you've more than earned it."

After they both catched their breath again they began to search for the recipient of the package and soon found him.

Man: "Ah, you must be the courier my friend talked about."

Sergey: "Yes, here is you package."

He handed the thing over

Man: "Ah, thank you young boy. Here - your reward. And now you've got to excuse me, I'm going to eat this cake now."

He gave Sergey some money and waved his goodbye.

Sergey: "So that was what was in there."

And with that my little homage comes to an end, I hope you had a pleasant read, for those interested, that was an homage to the short 'Pedro' from Saludos Amigos.

Lucario attempts to slam EJ's hands with a bone made out of aura energy while Bunby swoops back down to the ground where Aurum is

Lillianna: Hrm...

-Phosphora is groggy and bleary eyed. She's not even sure where she is, but she knows that she's at least fully clothed and that someone is nearby.-

-Dune and Deziree are walking around town. Dune is looking at a message from Pent.-

Dune: ... Huh. Stormy Drive-In theater fortune-telling? That's one I haven't heard before.

-Chie eagerly checks out the book for Lillianna, and she pets her Ekans which is lazily resting its head on the check-out counter-

"Okay... so due back in a week. Anything else I can do for you? You and your friends researching something?"

-Jastis happily drags Phosphora along-

"Wake uppppp we just made it to Solaceon."

-He looks about-

-Everything seems normal-

"So I wonder where we gotta investigate. I hope Lilly's team finds us something to narrow our search... but until then we just got a put our grind to the nosestone!"

Fires Below

-The combined attacks batter Reverse Decarabia, causing the clones to again vanish-

Reverse:Gragh! Enough!

-More clones appear before sliding into the original, causing him to increase in size, firing a Heat Wave at the group-

Shadow Lane:Oh come now. Haven't you seen this enough already? You come. You meet.

-He cackles-

And barring a distraction, you die. Just as those who failed before you. All you've done...for nothing.

-Lane struggles further-

Lane:N...No..I...it's not...for nothing...b-be quiet!

Shadow Lane:I wonder how Tori's doing in the real world...do you think she's moved on from us yet? What about Ignia? Poor poor girl...all alone...just a matter of time before people stop caring about her too. Just li-urk!

-The Shadow suddenly has his face grabbed-

-The robber realizes that he not only just lost his only weapons, but that he also forgot to demand the money. Realizing he just failed, he bolts out the door without his Pokémon and tries to jump into his car. It fails to start, and he jumps out the other side, and tries to flee-

Tex: You know what to do!

Tyrone: So do you, Cairo!

Scout: <Ember, you and I will flank him. Cairo, you trip him.>

Ember: <Roger!>

Cairo: <OK!>

-They quickly approach the criminal, who has evidently been skimping on the exercise-

Cairo: <Who needs a hug? You do!>

-Cairo grabs the man's leg and yanks the criminal to the ground-

   Robber   : "Shit!"

-Tex and Tyrone quickly catch up. Tex holds him down, and Tyrone cuffs him. The criminal is read his rights, then Tex reports in-

Tex: 10-16, I repeat: 10-16

Dispatcher: "10-4, Barrister. We already have a patrol car on the way."

-Phosphora, not being a morning person, just kinda follows along for a bit, groaning in vaguely affirmative tones. At least until that last line catches up with her, and her brain suddenly decides to wake up a little.-
