-Blitz looked more curious than surprised at the human ghost. Though ghosts in general were unsettling to deal with, and the atmosphere spooky, there wasn't time to waste on being frightened-

-Then again, he'd seen how handy it is to be able to become temporarily intangible-

Blitz: "Right.., well while you plan on slapping ghosts and posessees, I'm going to guess that the butler is involved in the next puzzle"

Mondo: <Heh, wonder if you'd be this calm before that internship with Mew.>

-He and Mondo step into the room, and start to walk towards the door the human ghost went through before turning to Reset-

-One of the Ravens is put to sleep. The same one takes heavy damage from the Earth Power and subsequently faints-

-The other two are angered by this, crowing loudly as the first sends a Heat Wave at the group while the second begins to freely spin it's corkscrew beak and charge down at Arahabaki in a Drill Peck-

Hearthome Center

-After Waking up and getting ready, Etran goes to the Lobby, Eggshell in arms.-

Etran: Eggshell, you ready for Fantina?

Eggshell: <Finally, I get to participate in a gym battle!>

Etran: Let's get some breakfast first.

-Izanagi uses Protect to block the Heave Waves leaving Ren confused at why not taking advantage of the the groups lowered Defenses while Mendel, after taking damage from the Heat Waves, Mendel yells at the group.-

Mendel: Everyone get near Pythagoras! NOW!

-Ren makes a Beedrill line to Pythagoras, since the last time Mendel yelled like that, Margaret summoned Yoshitsune and had him use Hassou Tobi.-

-After a few moments to allow those who were going to gather gather, Mendel wills Pythagoras to copy the stat changes from the left Black Raven and apply the changes to himself and those near him.-

-Izanagi's coat takes its normal sheen as his defense returns to its normal stat.-

Ren: Mendel... Never have I been so happy to have an Iron Defense be nullified.

A hill outside Jubilife

-Siobhan is confused.-

-Specifically, she's confused as to why her model rocket isn't working.-

Siobhan: "This irritates me." -she presses a button on a remote she's holding, which does nothing.- "This really irritates me. Nothing is going right."

Gogmazios: <I blame the fire-type Illuminati.>

Siobhan: "I am sure you do..."

Barioth: ~Why on earth would you think that fire-types have some sort of Illuminati?~

Siobhan: -mashing the button.- "Insanity is doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result. Unless you're an engineer, at which point that's SOP."

-Eventually, Siobhan's button mashing has an effect, igniting the model rocket's engine, sending it skyward.-

Siobhan: "... Huh. That worked, apparently. Now, is it transmitting?"

-She walks over to a folding table set up nearby, and is now staring intently at a laptop screen.-

Siobhan: "Well, it appears to be... That's good at least."

Daydre hears Mendel and attempts to run over. In her haste, though, Arahabaki is left open to the Drill Peck. The attack hits the pokesona's arm, and Daydre clutches hers in response. They also take damage from the Heat Wave, though not as much as the Drill Peck.

She manages to make it over, though.

Barioth: ~That's infinitely worse when said about a rocket. What's the problem?~

Siobhan: "Uh, bad?"

Siobhan: "Uh, we just lost remote guidance."

-A few minutes later, the rocket may crash down near someone in the Jubilife area.-

-Tex follows Tyrone into the building. It smells like a combination of laundry detergent, protein powder, fresh rubber, and gasoline. They walk through a few hallways, and they end up at an office door.

Tyrone: Here we are, sir. The Lieutenant wanted to see you.

-Tex knocks on the door-

Lieutenant Baxter: "Come in, Barrister"

-Tex, Ember, and Scout walk into the well-lit office, and sees a man in his 70s in a commander's uniform sitting behind a desk. His nameplate reads: "Lieutenant Maxwell Baxter"-

Lieutenant Baxter: "Have a seat."

-Tex sits down in a nearby chair-

Lieutenant Baxter: It's quite an honor to have a member of the international police assist us.

Tex: "I'm happy to help"

Lieutenant Baxter: "As you know, there have been a string of police disappearances in Hearthome. As troubling as this is, Interpol is already investigating. We have more pressing matters. Your first assignment is a bit out of your comfort zone.

Tex: That would be...?

Lieutenant Baxter: The FTO has disappeared, leaving Cadet Thatcher without a mentor. Your assignment is to show him the ropes, take him on a few ride-alongs.

Tex: Isn't there anyone more qualified?

Lieutenant Baxter: No. You have plenty of experience, and we're already spread thin enough as is. Besides, it beats traffic duty.

Tex: I guess so.

=Hearthome City (Frankford Chattabie's Home)=

Frankford Chattabie, Zachary's dad, is talking with two police officers in his living room

Frankford: "I'm telling you, officers, that's all the info I have, you're just gonna have to wait until my son gets back from the hospital since his Gardevoir was the one who directly met the-"

Zachary and Aurum suddenly appear in the living room after a bright flash

Frankford: "Huh, won't ya look at that, there he is! Son, why are you back so early? What about your injured leg?"

Zachary: "Don't worry dad, I can walk now,! I-I mean I can't run because it still hurts a bit but what's important is I can move freely now and I was allowed to get out of the Pokemon Center, now Aurum, tell him your tale!"

Aurum: ~Sure, why not~

Aurum starts telling the story to the two officers and halfway through Zachary sends out Bunby and Smoke to back him up

Zachary: "S-So, how's that?"

Officer: "Let me be honest boy, i'm a bit skeptical even now but my colleagues have told me that "Marlin" was last seen in public in Eterna Condominiums before leaving with a Gardevoir, which fits your story, and a couple of witnesses last saw her fleeing Eterna Forest in a rush with her hurt Pokemon, which also fits your story, so I guess I have reasons to trust you"

Zachary: "May I ask what's the deal with this fake Marlin and this parcel?"

Officer: "We don't know who this fake Marlin is or why she'd impersonate her out of all people but that parcel, according to the boss of Moohresphere Mining, contains....a parcel, as in a plot of land, to be more specific, a plot of land somewhere near the borders of Kalos that may contain very rare minerals"

Zachary: "So this parcel is...actually a parcel?"

Officer: "Or, well, at least the papers for the parcel itself, this apparently dates back to a few years ago where a conflict started over that specific plot of land between Moohresphere and an affiliate company, which started paying criminals to saboutage Moohresphere, they were eventually caught and the affiliate company was shut down, but we suspect some of the people related to the incident are still free and related to this"

Zachary: "Whoa, heavy stuff..."

Officer: "Anyways, we wouldn't want you to get too involved in this but...since that parcel is quite important and they dont know your face and thus wouldn't expect you to have it, would you mind going to Jubilife and delivering it to the police station there? Don't worry, an agent will be overseeing your trip from a distance and if necessary, he will help out"

Zachary: "Er....s-sure, anything to help out the law! But the agent won't be necessary, we've already gone through Jubilife so that means we can just teleport there, Aurum, Teleport!"

Aurum: ~Zachary, you caught me after passing by Jubilife, which means I don't have it marked for Teleport~

Zachary: "O-oh....Well then, I guess we— Oh my goodness I literally just now remembered I have a Flying type"

Aurum: ~Oh my Arceus we could've just flied over Coronet, couldn't we?"

Zachary and Aurum once again facepalm in perfect synchronization and afterwards Zachary walks outside, calls out Bunby and flies off to Jubilife City

-Etran enters the Gym, where Fantina is waiting inside.-

Fantina: Ah, a challenger, yes? My name is Fantina. You wish to challenge me, non?

Etran: Um, yes. I-I would like to challenge you.

Fantina: Very good then! I am accepting your challenge! Go, Gengar!

Etran: Malice!

-Etran sends out Malice-

Etran: Malice, Thunderbolt!

-Malice sends out a bolt of thunder to strike Gengar. It hits-

Fantina: Gengar, Poison Jab!

-Gengar punches Malice with Poisonous fingers-

Malice is Poisoned!

Malice: <Ouch>

Etran: Malice, Dark Pulse!

-Dark energy surrounds Malice, and is then fired at Gengar, who can't take much more.-

Fantina: Gengar, confuse ray!

-Gengar fires a sonic ray at Malice, who is then confused.-

Malice is hurt by poison

Etran: One more Malice, Dark Pulse!

-Malice looks at Etran, then looks at Gengar. More Dark energy surrounds Malice, but this time, instead of being fired at Gengar, is accidentally fired up, and hits Malice."

She hurt herself in confusion!

Fantina: Gengar, hit her with a Poison Jab.

-Gengar attacks Malice with another Poison Jab, this time almost taking down Malice.-

Etran: Malice, try Dark Pulse again!

-Malice surrounds itself with dark energy, and this time, successfully fires it at Gengar, who faints.-

Malice is hurt by poison!

-Due to the poison, Malice faints as well. Etran and Fantina both return their Pokemon-

Etran: Siku, it's your turn.

Fantina: Drifblim, good luck!

-Etran sends out Siku, as Fantina sends out Drifblim.-

Phosphora: I'm cool doing either, though it's been a long time since I've done any dungeon delving.

Old Chateau- 33 minutes until sunset.

-Reset was about to answer, when a loud clang was heard as the kettle Ark had picked up was thrown out of the Kitchen, along with her scarf. The Butler followed after that, looking irritated.-

The Butler: The girl left these here. She was trying to break down the door with the poor kettle earlier.

Kiaran: <Ark was here!?>

The Butler: So that was the girl's name? Interesting, but of no matter to me.

Audra: <Oi. Blitz has a point. What's the challenge for us.>

-The ghost gave a blank look at Audra-

The Butler: Do you seriously think that I am going to play along with the whim's of that... thing that's influencing the mistress? She may be lonely, but she's not homicidal nor desperate enough to kidnap others.

-Reset seemed to shrink at this, acting in the same manner she did shortly before Sue was absorbed by the glitch.-

Reset: B-but! You know wh-what h-h-h-hap-p-pens when w-we don't go along with it!

-The door of the room slammed shut and locked at this.-

Ralli: <Shoot!>

Ekundayo: <O-oh my!>

Barclay: <Well that can not be good.>

Verigan: <What trickery is this!>

The Butler: Predictable. I highly doubt the thing will let anyone out unless some ridiculous and time wasting game is played for the key. Or until it decides to off me like most of the others. Until then, I suppose I could answer some questions, as I'm sure you have many.

Audra: <Gee, you think?>

-Pulling out a chair at the old table, the Butler sits down and crosses a leg. Reset goes off to freak out in the corner.-

The Butler: So, ask away.

Etran: Siku, Blizzard!

-The air gets cold, as Siku freezes around him. He then blasts the cold Air at Drifblim. Drifblim is seriously damaged by the blizzard-

Fantina: That was powerful, non? But I am still having tricks up my sleeves! Will O Wisp!

-Drifblim hits Siku with Will O Wisp.-

Siku has been burned

Siku is hurt by the burn

Etran: Siku, you okay?

Siku: Greoog<Yeah, buddy.>

Etran: Okay. I'm taking that as a yes. Another Blizzard!

-Siku fires the cold air at Drifblim, but misses this time.-

Fantina: You are having bad luck, non? Drifblim, thunder!

-lightning strikes Drifblim, who throws the lightning at Siku. Siku is hit, and loses half his health.-

Siku is hurt by his burn

Etran: Alright, buddy, let's win this. One more. Ice Fang!

-Siku's teeth become frozen, as he runs up to Drifblim, and bites her. Drifblim faints.-

Siku is hurt by his burn!

-Fantina recalls Drifblim, and sends out Mismagius.-

(Simon finds his most pertinent questions rolling uncontrollably off his tongue.)

-Etran recalls Siku, and pulls out an Ultra Ball.-
