Red and Blue have found a nice square of public grass, and are enjoying the sunshine.

Red is going through some forms with her two handaxes, practicing.

Blue, meanwhile, is on the phone with her newly appointed financial consultant.

Enigma is also nearby, reading another book.

They may be approached.

-Blitz winces at the noise of the slamming door, while his just revived Clefairy jumps-

Mondo: <Ah, what was that?!>

Blitz: "Haunted house, we're gonna do some ghost hunting"

-When Verigan takes off, Blitz starts to run after him. Mondo grumbles under his breath but follows-

"Hey, don't just run off without warning like that!"

Eterna Forest, Ye Olde Chateau, 55 minutes before sunset.

Phaz: Well... Let's just follow the others.

-Embry starts to pull on Phaz's trousers, effectively making him lose balance-

Phaz: (Ack !) Yeah Embry ?

Embry: <I-I'm scared... Could i come back into my Pokeball ?>

Phaz: ...You have an advantage over them... But i understand. As you wish, lil' Embry.

-Phaz smiles at Embry when he gets him back in his pokeball, who then smiles back.-

Phaz: ... And Cynthia ? You should go back too, you are weak to theses types of attack.

Cynthia: <... No, i should be fine.>

Phaz: ...Okay then. Let's rock !

- Phaz starts to follow Verigan and the others.-

-A certain Chikorita has approached a certain not-Zorua.-

Willard: <Hello, Zorua!>

Gui: <Hi!>

Willard: <I have recently discovered that you might not be an actual Zorua! Is this true?>

Gui: <Yeah, it is!>

Willard: <Ooh, and is it also true that you're actually a Latias?>

Gui: <Yep, that's true too!>

-Willard jumps happily.-

Willard: <In that case, would you by chance be willing to give me a ride?>

Gui: <A ride? Sure! But we have to go somewhere less...>

-She glances around at all the people around.-

Willard: <Oh, of course! Please lead the way!>

-They go to a route where few people or mons are around, and Gui drops her disguise.-

Gui: ~Okay, here we go!~

-She picks up Willard, and they go soaring through the Sinnoh skies.-

Willard: <Wheeee! This is so much fun! Is it possible that you might be able to go even faster?>

Gui: ~I can try!~

-She speeds up quite a bit.-

-After a while they land back on the ground and Gui puts her Zorua disguise back up.-

Willard: <Thank you, kind Latias. That was very fun.>

-She pauses.-

<I'm embarassed I haven't asked this yet, but what's your name?>

Gui: <I'm Gui!>

Willard: <Hm, was the person Gui also you?>

Gui: <Oh, yeah, it was. Maybe I ought to come up with alias...>

Willard: <Okay! I will refrain from calling you by name for the time being. Let me know when you think of something!>

-Jacob nods to Seiten Taisei, and looks at everyone- "Hey.... thanks. I'm glad none of you died."

-He jerks his head towards the still unconscious Lane, whom Shiva goes over too and picks up, before slinging Verax over his other shoulder and carrying them into the Velvet room-

-Jacob follows, all too eager to leave this place behind-

-After a while, the article is nearing completion-

Lisa: <Well, that was a fair bit, but I think that's everything. You can go ahead and submit it.>

-As the page in progress begins to save, the connection is lost and it pulls up a 'this page can not be displayed' message-

Lisa: <...Ugh, this is what I meant. How do you even deal with these things?>

-Regardless of whether the information is backed up or not, she flies off in a huff-

Blue has finished talking with her chief financial adviser and is now sitting with her girlfriend on a park bench, enjoying the nice evening.

-Sarah walks in. Scott is waiting for her with a smile on his face.-

Sarah: Um... excuse me, Scott? You wanted to speak to me?

Scott: Ah, yes, perfect timing! I wanted to discuss your upcoming battles.

-Sarah tilts her head-

Sarah: Battles, plural?

Scott: Yep! Hate to say, but your battle against Spenser won't be your final exam. That would be too easy, you know?

Sarah: ...Oh. Well, what is the final test?

Scott: You're lookin' at him.

-Sarah blinks-

Sarah: Wait wait wait, I have to battle you afterward?

Scott: Why not? Just because I don't have a big fancy building doesn't mean I'm not a Trainer. I'm the head of this place for a reason, you know.

Sarah: I... guess so. It makes sense.

Scott: Unfortunately, I can't tell you much else quite yet, but I should at least give you a heads up that it's not gonna be the League standard rules you're used to. It's something way more... J-Teamy, to put it in perspective.

Sarah: ...This isn't going to be easy, is it?

Scott: Hell no, it's not.

-Sarah exhales, taking in the information-

Sarah: Okay, so... surprise battle against you. No idea how it's gonna turn out.

Scott: I'd suggest you keep up all your training, be ready for any circumstance with any Pokemon on your team. Of course, you were doing that already, but a reminder wouldn't hurt.

Sarah: Of course.

Scott: Great! I'll see you after you face Spenser! It should be cake with the team you've got. I'm rooting for ya, kid!

Sarah: Thank you... I promise I won't disappoint!

-Scott grins as Sarah turns to leave.-

(Lurking in the shadows near Red and Blue is a presence, visible only by the vaguely humanoid Glitch distortion in the area. They're in a bad enough mood that their mere presence is making the surroundings feel less inviting.)

Enigma finishes their page and carefully closes their paperback, vanishing it into thin air with a -blip-.

<Enigma: Hmm.>

Red, meanwhile, has an arm around Blue's shoulder.

Blue: Wow. It's such a nice night.

Red: Not as nice as you.

Blue blushes, then kisses her girlfriends cheek.

Blue: Hush, flatterer.

Æther: I'm forgetting nothing. The Magnemite are preoccupied.

-Several of them have been knocked out at this point due to the unrelenting string of fire attacks from the Charizard. Youta has all his attention focused on taking the Charizard out.-

Are you willing to let the Arcanine die to stall for time?

-He pulls out the Poké Ball and sends out a Magmar behind him.-

-The basement room is completely dark, but there's certainly a Lanie-sized person on the floor in the center.-

-Lucia and her brother pass by the couple.-

Marc: Why not ask them?

-Marc shrugs.-

Marc: It's as good a place to start as any.

Lucia: Alright.

-She approaches them.-

-Sholto looks around and sees the Lanie-shaped person-

-At the end of the hall, beneath the balcony that the stairs lead too, Verigan is swinging his sword around at an obviously frightened Rotom. Ralli is wisely staying out of the way of the wild swinging. The Rotom is screeching in a electronic sounding voice that is vaguely feminine in tone. -

Verigan: <Cease thy resistance at once foul creature! Tell me where thy companions hath spirited Ark away to!>

?????: EE Eee EE Eee Ee Eeeee EEEEE Ee Eeeeek! D-don't shoot the messengerrrrrrrrr!

-The barren key ring tied to the Rotom's body get's caught on Verigan's sword, and he pulls it to the ground.-

Ralli: <'Bout time.>

Audra: <Pray tell, what is going on here?>

Kiaran: <Who the otherworld are you!>

-Barclay looks at Volta-

Barclay: <Friend of your's?>

Ekundayo: <I'll... j-just be b-b-b-back here....>

-Ekundayo returns to clutching Phaz's left leg.-

?????: L-let me go! L-like I said! I'm j-just the messenger!

-Audra smirks, obviously having figured something out, but tilts her head over at the rest of the group. The Luxio's tail lashes languidly as she calmly says-

Audra: <While I do have questions for you, I am sure these fine fellows do as well, correct?>

Æther: Not a one of them has any issue with dying here today.

-Noel was taking inspiration from Ghostus' plan and sneaking up on Æther from behind, but the Magmar has now noticed him, and is attacking.-

Lanie?: Who's there?

Blue cocks her head at Lucia.

Blue: Hmmm?

Enigma, meanwhile, is trying to pin down the source of their unsettled feeling.

Lucia: Marc, this is stupid, how will this help?

Marc: Just ask!

Lucia: Have you seen a mysterious gambler in a red coat at any point in the last few years?

See, this sounds ridiculous, but it's a serious question.

-Astute observers will notice something slightly odd. A taaaaaaaall tower of boxes, bags, and sacks, all held together with twine and rope, is making it's way down the street. Good fortune seems to permeate the area around it as it goes.-
