Shadow!Jacob: -He looks at Ren- "Ahhh mister Clavis. So good to see you again. Yes... I do believe when you faced a shard of my power you made such a claim. You, most of all, I will enjoy breaking beneath my heel. It took so many of you... to face me in my weakest of states. Here, I am complete. I am perfected. I am humanity's Soul. You cannot hope to best me, you-"

-He's cut off by suddenly billowing nearly suffocating amounts of shadow, glaring at Lane-

"YOU LIE"

-His hand crushes the gathering orb of shadow, causing it to spray like a fine mist over the entire floor- "How can you claim to be his friend? You... none of you even know him! Did you know he attempted to murder one of your fellow teammates? He abandoned a "friend" to die before that! How many of you have seen the open jealousy and unrestrained malice he had for you before now? How dare you presume to know what it's like... to call yourself...!" -He stops suddenly, reaching up and readjusting his coat-

"... Well. I appear to have... lost control for a moment. At any rate, he is nearly dead and I have nearly one. So much so I can afford to split my being like this."

-He smooths back his hair, and smiles- "Well, at any rate... I daresay you'll have a hard time navigating this maze. But I'll make it simple, reach the end of the maze, and you can access the door that was sealed off back on the second floor. I doubt the lot of you have the intelligence to solve it but... I will enjoy taking my time with mister Iridis while you flounder."

-He leers at Lisa, then laughs- "Oh, I assure you, this will be the hardest yet. Take your time."

-And the smoke clears and he vanishes-

Tex: "You're up, Johnny!"

Johnny <Finally!>

Tex: "You get the first shot, Gardenia"

-Dune is bristling at the Shadow's declaration.-

Dune: This guy has just made a mistake.

-Galvani looks over at him.-

Dune: He's gone and reminded me of... someone.

-Galvani stares blankly, until she realizes what he means.-

Galvani: ... <Oh.>

CU, Meadows

-Dune and Galvani follow, with the former brushing off the latter's chassis.-

Eterna Gym

Gardenia: "If you insist."

"Torterra, Stone Edge!"

Torterra: <Ready, bird?>

-The Torterra sharpens some stones which she then hurls at Johnny-

CU, Pagoda, 4F

Phobetor: <Oh, yeah, Jacob's antics sure were a wild ride back when he first joined. At least he mellowed out some.>

-SleepyHead is a bit startled, but adds something quickly-

SleepyHead: <Er... So, let's go take care of whatever this is?>

Lisa: <Whatever.>

-She heads over to the hedge maze-

-As they enter the hedge maze, the path ahead of them leads straight on for quite a while, before curving slightly and taking them to a point where they can't see the path behind them-

Verax: "... This... kinda reminds me of the rosebush maze back behind the house..."

-The path before them is lined with white lilies and headstones, and in some places various bladed weapons are jabbed into the earth instead of headstones-

-After a little while longer, they reach a large clearing, emerging from the south end, a round room, about the 90 feet from side to side-

-In the very center is a massive sundial, and the room has eight paths splitting off it, one to the North, the South, the East, and the West, and the Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast, the thorny vines in the hedges that were present in the road behind no longer present-

-Despite the fact the sun is not out and the only light is starlight, there is a single shadow coming off the sundial, pointing north-

Verax: "... Oh boy this is gonna be one of those, huh?

@Eterna@

-The stones hit Johnny full force-

Johnny: <GAAAAH....HAHAHAHA!. Hit me more, I love it!

Tex: "Use Brave Bird!"

Johnny: <Blood for the blood God!>

Eterna Forest, a while ago

(Simon, who can't understand Pokémon, is simply standing there with a blank look on his face. Now he's still and silent, the shattered left lens in his glasses is clearly visible.)

Major: You need two @ symbols on each side for the header

Lisa: <...Oh joy.>

SleepyHead: <Hm...>

-She notices the shadow on the Sundial-

<Should we maybe head North? Try and think of some way to mark where we've been?>

Eterna Gym

-The Torterra is slammed into by the Brave Bird, taking a good deal of damage-

Torterra: <Ngh...>

<Well good, because you're getting more.>

-She slams the ground, causing a Rock Slide in Johnny's vicinity-

Ren: Ughhh... I always hated the Lost Wood portions... We need to determine if there are any audio clues, any other visual clues other than the shadow, or if this is going to be one of those places where we have to remember the way we went.

-Mendel shrugs and head to the northeast door and listens hard, and hears nothing and unable to see the end of the path as the halls curve.Ren moves closer to the sun dial looking for anything that might be a clue as to how to progress.-

Verax: -He's also listening for clues, though he and Mendel hear nothing except the slight swaying of grass in a gentle breeze-

-Inspecting the sundial, Ren sees nothing out of place aside from the earlier mentioned shadow, perpetually pointing North despite any other light sources failing to cast shadows with it-

-Verax looks over at Lisa- "Okay, might be a good idea."

-He calls Take-Mikazuchi and it blasts a hole in the ground at the North side of the sundial-

"Alright, anyone opposed to going North?"

Ren: Can someone use Flash or produce a lot of light? I want to see what happens when a natural shadow is cast.

SleepyHead: <Hold on...>

-Phobetor lets off a Flash-

Pagoda F4

-The flash illuminates the room, yet aside fro the existing shadow cast by the sundial, no new shadows are cast by flash-

Verax: "... Okay, so that's important."

Johnny: <OUCH!....He...he...>

-Johnny is obviously hanging on to consciousness by a thread-

Tex: "Use Crush Claw!"

Johnny: <War is my master! Death is my mistress!>

Jubilife City Hospital, this morning

-Scheherezade wakes up with a splitting headache, not quite yet realizing she's in a hospital.-

Scheherezade: "Ow... My head... And arm... And other arm... and" -looks around- "Holycrapthisisn'twhereIwasbefore."

-She bolts up, leaning on her right arm, which promptly collapses under her.-

Scheherezade: "Ow..."

-A nurse walks in, skirting around an Absol. The Absol watches her enter, but decides she's uninteresting and goes back to watching the door intently-

Nurse: "Be still, miss. You've lost a lot of blood."

Scheherezade: "I was... fighting a Scizor... There was a man... How'd I get here?"

Nurse: "Dispatch got a 9-1-1 call about an injured person suffering from blood loss. The caller and two Absols were standing over an unconscious Scizor with blood on it's claws. It was apprehended by the police and is currently in their custody.

Scheherezade: "And... the mysterious stranger?"

Nurse: -shakes head- "Left shortly after we arrived and the Scizor was apprehended."

-a police officer walks in, the Absol carefully tracking her movements, and murmurs something to the nurse. The nurse walks out.-

Officer: "My name is Detective Ryley Walsh. May I ask you a few questions about what happened last night, ma'am?"

Scheherezade: "Ye-Yeah."

-The officer grills Scheherezade for the better part of an hour, on everything from the Scizor, to the incident in Eterna Forest a few days ago, to her swordcane, to the mysterious man.-

Detective: "Thank you, Ms. Alizadeh. That'll be all."

Scheherezade: "You're welcome, Officer."

-the officer hands her a card.- "If you think of anything else that might help, call this number. It'll get to me."

Scheherezade: -taking the card.- "O-Okay."

-the officer walks out, and the nurse walks back in, trailed by Shahryar and Balthazar. The Absol watches them intently.-

Shahryar: Scheherezade.

Balthazar: <Meine Dame. Poor news.>

Scheherezade: -hanging her head.- Of course it is... -said with a weary sigh- "Yes...?"

Balthazar: <Frau Dunyazade, Herr Sinbad, and Frau Shirin have... been disappeared.>

Scheherezade: "So it is worst-case scenario. Their pokeballs were stolen."

Balthazar: <Aye, it appears so.>

Absol: -the Absol stands up from its vigil.- <I may be able to help with that.>

-The Torterra tries to hang on, but faints from the Claw-

-Gardenia recalls her-

Gardenia: "Alright, your turn, Tangrowth!"

-A Tangrowth is sent out-

Gardenia: "Use Ancient Power!"

-The Tangrowth generates some rocks aglow with a mysterious power, which she then sends at Johnny-

Ren: -agreeing with Verax- Indeed. And that's all I can think of. Now let's try head North.

Eterna Gym

-The attack hits Johnny full force. He goes into a tailspin. Tex recalls him as he crashes to the ground-

Tex: "Ember, your turn. Use Eruption!"

Ember: <Leave it to me!>

-Ember runs onto the field, and shoots several glowing orbs out of the fire ducts on her back. They rise above Tangrowth, then explode into burning showers of rock, sulfur, ash, and smoke.-

-As they group heads North, after about a minute, and after they've lost sight of the path behind them, they come out the south entrance of a room identical to the one they were just in, but with no markings, and now two shadows cast from the sundial, one pointing North, and another pointing west-

Verax: "... Well now the question is... is the new shadow an addition, if so, the way we go should be west... but if it's an entirely new puzzle... hmm...."

Ren: Well I'm going to need a third room to see any sort of concrete pattern, but here's my theory so far: The shadows are meant to help us go the right direction and if there is more than one the correct door is between them. In other words, I recommend the Northwest door for the moment.

-Ren pauses for a moment.-

Ren: SleepyHead, do you mind having Phobetor use Flash again?

-Etran makes his way through Eterna forest on the way to Hearthome.-

Ralli: <Wow, I wuz expectin' him ta' agree wit whateva' Ashley wanted ta do.>

Audra: <Indeed, although I am glad to see his common sense is not overridden by such... gooey feelings.>

Kiaran: <... Anyway, I think that Cynthia's plan is best. If anyone has flying pokemon, then they could maybe ferry others to the otherside as well?>

Verigan: <The Broken Lensed Man appears to not understand us, but his mighty dragon may be able to lift the blockage!>

Ekundayo: <Th-that's a really good p-plan! U-um.... Mr.Blitz, could you p-please relay that to him?>

-Once again, aside from the two shadows on the sundial, it does not cast any more-

-Everything else casts a shadow as normal-

Verax: "... Okay, so Northwest it is?"
