Pokesona Episode 2: Schoolyard Brawl in the Collective Unconscious!

-A group of the Hableries break off and whirl over towards Joe, Mondo, Dune, Deziree, Jacob, and Verax-

-They all all giggle a bit creepily before trying to whack them with their tongues, in a highly unorthodox use of Lick-

Jacob: "Alright... PERSONA!" -He swipes his hand across his face, summoning the card, and then breaks through it with a dramatic finger point, summoning Pyro Jack-

Pyro Jack: <Hee hee ho! Time to show you what I can do!> -The Mismagius plushie lifts the Lampent and it fires a wave of heat at the Halberies, not doing much other than annoying them-

Jacob: -Turns back towards Mendel- "Wait... you can scan these things?"

Verax: "Okay, let's do this!" -He pivots on his heels and kicks his card- "TAKE-MIKAZUCHI!"

-The Cubone appears-

Take-Mikazuchi: <Oh yeah! Let's rock!> -Swings his lightning bolt shaped bone down, blasting one of the Hableries back with a burst of electricity-

-Mondo's impression of the area can be summed up as 'it looks like someone really let this place go', in fact he probably said so earlier while nobody was really paying attention.-

-But now he's bouncing back away from one of the Halberies-

Mondo: <Hah, gonna have to try harder than that!>

-Almost completely ignoring the persona tutorial explanation so far, The Clefairy attempts to Moonblast the nearest foe in the face-

Solaceon Ruins

Aero: <I suppose so>

-She hesitates momentarily before opening fire on the apparently helpless creature-

-Joseph gestures vaguely with his hand-

Joseph: OK, time to get in tune...hmmm...

-Jiraiya gives a curt nod, before forming a ball of Obscura between his hands. He Dark Pulses at a Gastly!-

Warped Schoolyard

-The left-most Hablerire shrugs off Arahibai's Drill Run.-

-The right Hablerie disintegrates from Matadoor's attack, as the other to try to counter with Water Pulse.-

-Ren points at the middle Hablerie. And Izanagi immediately flies forward and blast the Hablerie with a Shock Wave that crits and cause the Hablerie to disintegrate into black smoke. The other two Hableries both hit Izanagi with their Lick attacks. Cause the Aron to wince with momentary pain.-

Ren: -his body feeling Izanagi's pain- AAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH! *pant* Why did I feel that?!

Mendel -to Jacob- I can see their weaknesses, abilities, and retaliative stren—

-Ren's howl of pain interrupts-

Mendel Hang on Mr. Clavis! I'm sending help for the whole group.

-Mendel presses a button on his holo-keyboard, causing a Reflect Barrier to raise around the group, halving physical damage.-

-Hableries move to target the more immediate threats, the groups Pokesonas.-

-Daydre's target Arahabaki with Bubble.-

-Lane's Target Decarabia with Astonish.-

-Pent's target Male!Orpheues with Water Gun.-

-Seiten and Yurlungur are both hit by the wild tongues, though neither are really rattled.-

Dune: Seiten, um...

Seiten: Nope.

Dune: What?

Seiten: I knew what you were thinking. Can't do that.

Dune: You can't kick?

Seiten: Not in any way that would help.

Dune: Fine then, just-

-Seiten punches one of the Gengar with a lightning-covered fist.-

Dune: Yeah. That.

Galvani: <Ew! Ew ew ew!>

-Yurlungur swings its tail through a cloud, covering it in water and smashing it against another Gengar.-

Galvani: <Licks from Cun I can deal with - licks from strangers are right out!>

-Comes to a stop-

It seems we're at a bit of an impasse here Duke.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.

Arahabaki is hit by the Bubble Beam, and Daydre flinches and gasps in pain.

"Hah...] I feel the pain that-... [—Well that's one way this is different from a regular battle..Besides the obvious.."

-Decarabia is astonished!-

Lane:AGH!

-He shudders a moment-

-He fires a Signal Beam at one of his foes-

Solaceon Ruins

-The Scolipede shrieks as it's hit with the barrage of attacks, surviving a few more before ultimately growing limp. The glitch matter on its head starts enveloping the body. Samus stands back.-

Marvel:<Ooooh, another one already?>

-He stays his distance, Marco's further back-

Courtyard

-The Hablerie Mondo Moonblasts flies backwards, taking significant damage-

-Mondo would feel suddenly surprisingly fatigued, as if using that drained his own stamina far more than it usually would-

Margaret: <Ah, yes, some of you are Pokemon as well. I should mention, trying to create constructs here or attacking as you are used to is a viable method of attacking these Shadows. However, the atmosphere of the Collective Unconscious makes using these much more taxing than you are used to. They are creatures of the unconscious mind, and are more easily defeated by things like them. I would use your innate abilities sparingly, you cannot afford to exhaust yourself like that.>

-As Ren cries out- <And as you can see, Persona are reflections of one's self. They are extensions of your soul, and are better suited to fight here. But since they are extensions of you, you will share their pain and exhaustion, so be careful. Theo, could you heal mister Clavis and Mondo please? I know they are capable of their own healing but you are not doing much, and they should focus on the enemies at hand.>

-She looks over at Lane- <Maintain a firm grasp on your emotions. You control it. It responds to your will, Lane.>

Jacob: "Oh. Great."

-He twirls his arm as Pyro Jack fires a Shadow Ball at a Hablerie, causing it to visibly sag in exhaustion-

-As Jiraiya fires a dark pulse, the Hablerie disperses into red-black smoke-

Verax: "Great going whoever that was!"

-Right after he says this a new Hablerie rises from the ground and lunges at Jiraiya with another loving lick-

-The Hablerie fighting Mondo gets up and fires a Shadow Ball at the little guy-

-The one fighting Dune reels from the punch, rippling and sparking, and attacks with a beam of bubbles-

-The one fighting Dezi is smacked away, not very hurt, but stunned by the force of the blow-

His eyes narrow.

"Shadow Claw. No mercy."

One of Matadoor's arms glowed with spectral energy and slashed at one of the Gastylwhatevertheyares.

-Jiraiya, quick as can be, turns back to the Halberie, preparing an attack. He gets off a Water Pulse right after the Halberie licks him-

Joseph: ACK! That was...glk...

The Courtyard

-Seiten is hit by the bubblebeam and goes reeling back. Dune feels like he just got punched in the chest by a bodybuilder.-

Dune: Puuuuuuhooo boy that kinda hurt.

-Seiten moves in for another strike and, oddly enough, Yurlungur is right beside him.-

Galvani: <You stay away from him!>

-The two come down with a Thunder Punch and Iron Tail.-

-Decaraba's Signal Beam connects and does moderate damage. The Hableries scramble and attack with Astonish once again.-

-Matador's attack connects, but the Hablerie had dodged so it didn't destroy it. The two Hableries attempt to disable Matador by using Hypnosis.-

-Taking advantage of Arahabaki not attacking, the Baltoy must now deal with three Shadow Balls.-

Theo: Y-yes! Right away Margaret!

-Metatron fires healing pink energy beams at Mondo and Ren.-

Mendel: I'll help too!

-Pythagoras snaps his fingers as a Pink beams is fired at Daydre and Arahabaki.-

Ren: -feeling the relief- Take 'em out Izanagi!

Izanagi: RRRRAAAAARGHHH!

-Izanagi throws the Hableries off him and shreds one of them with it's claws strengthened by the Hableries' attacks.-

-Pent recoils back, steam rising off his and Orpheus' forms-

A-alright, pain sharing. Wonderful...

-He breathes deeply and concentrates-

Alright, stuck with a mostly support role, I can deal... Ren, heals inbound!

-He directs the clefairy to fire off a Heal Pulse at Ren's aron-

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Matadoor falls asleep!

Des falls asleep, collapsing nearby Joe.

Matadoor dissapears!

Arahabaki evades two of the Shadow Balls. As they're hit by the Heal Pulse, Daydre turns and says "Thankyou!" to Mendel. .... Which causes her to get hit by the last Shadow Ball.

"Ow."

"Urgh... Drill Run-" Arahabki attempts to Drill Run one of the remaining Hableries.

-More astonishes strike the Pokesona-

Lane:N..Ngahh!

-Lane staggers back-

Decarabia, listen to me! Hit the group!

-Decaarabia looks back to Lane.-

Decarabia: ...hmph.

-He fires Flash Cannon at his group-

Lane:Ngh...

Why...why isn't he listening?!

Solaceon Ruins

Aero: <I-Is it... What's that stuff doing?>

-She would take a step away from the limp creature and the active glitcyness, but she's already right next to a wall-

Warped Schoolyard - Verax Group

-Mondo grins excitedly as he lets the attack fly, but suddenly stumbles tiredly as if he's been shooting off Moonblasts for the past hour-

Mondo: <Hah! Yo-Ooh, geeze...>

-He blinks, and is grazed by the shadow ball-

<Ngh, ya think you could have mentioned that earlier?>

-He shakes his head with renewed vigor thanks to the heal, and pulls his card apparently from behind his back, and shatters it, bringing Hua Po back into the fray-

<Persona!>

-Beat-

<Ah, geeze... It's a plant, what's thing plants can->

-Hua Po spins her orange flower briefly, dislodging and sending Razor Leaves flying at his foe-

<Right! That's a thing plants can do, I knew that>

-The Hablerie Jiraiya Water Pulses gets confused, and Shadow Balls the one fighting Verax, destroying it-

-The Hablerie double-teamed by Dune and Dezi EXPLODES-

-Take-Mikazuchi punches one to oblivion too-

-Pyro Jack ends up licked, and Jacob staggers a bit from the strike, but it is quickly dispatched-

-Hua Po's Razor Leaf shreds the Hablerie, it's ooze evaporating as it's rent to pieces-

Verax: "Okay, great going team, let's help out the others now! Take-Mikazuchi!"

-The Cubone turns around and hurls a Hidden Power crackling with electricity at one of Hablerie attacking Lane-

Jacob: "Alright, Pyro Jack, let's... Dammit we can't burn them."

Pyro Jack: <Hee hee!>

Jacob: "HIT THEM WITH DARKNESS"

Pyro Jack: -Throws a Shadow Ball at one of the Hableries that was harassing Des-

Margaret: -Looks at Lane- <Because you do not expect it to listen. You have so little self confidence even your assumptions are that you cannot control it. You control it. Not the other way around. You are one and the same. Control yourself.>
