Lazarus has begun setting up shop here on a more permanent basis, as the staging grounds for his expedition into PMD-A, and location of the portal machine.

Lazarus: While I am here, let's talk about this whole Glitch thing going on, hmm? We have a sample yet?

<Glendower: Not yet, sir. Project Weird is actually hoping very much that we get them one - it might serve as an excellent substitute for April Fools energy.>

Lazarus: A fascinating hypothesis... increase the urgency of the sample collecting mission. I want at least one reproducible sample before the end of next month, before the J-team do something stupid like destroy it.

-Sarah walks out of the Battle Pike, looking frazzled-

A girl in black dressed in a red scarf and a similarly colored shiny ninja frog are also walking around, the former eating popcorn and occasionally throwing some up for the mon to catch

"Man, this place is so great. I should've visited it sooner." said the girl, smiling as she tossed another popcorn up and looked at her partner "I swear, I always think you're going to choke on those..."

Battle Frontier

-In her befrazzlement, Sarah initially doesn't recognize the girl or the Greninja, but double-takes and looks at the two again-

Sarah: Oh, hey, uh... you. I've met you before, right?

The girl looks at Sarah and stares at her for a moment "Hmmmm... Hmmm... You're familiar, yeah!" she giggled "My name's Akane, anyway"

The Greninja just stares at Sarah as they talk.

Sarah: Akane! Right! You were at J-Con. And, uh...

-She looks at the Greninja, tilting her head-

Sarah: ...Huh. Your Greninja reminds me of someone else's I know.

Battle Frontier

It was at this point that realization kicked in and the Greninja's eyes widened upon hearing Sarah mention someone else

"<Oh yeah, you're Sakura's friend aren't you? I almost forgot!>" he said.

"Does he? I found him in Mauville. I didn't know there were Pokémon like him there." she giggled

-Sarah's eyes widen-

Sarah: Waitwaitwait, Sensei? You're not— why are you here instead of with Sakura?

"E-Eh? Um... What's going on?" asked Akane.

-Sarah looks back at Akane-

Sarah: I'm... guessing you can't understand him?

"Usually people don't understand Pokémon language." said Akane, a little deadpan.
