-Shinobi blinks as Fletcha flies not away from the wave, but straight into it, and through it, knocking him off the wave. He twists as he falls to land on his feet, and then winces from the pain of the attack and burn as he claps his webbed hands together and causes a Rock Slide to fall, hoping to catch Fletcha before he has much of a chance to pull out of his last attack-

Shinobi: Heh... Let's see how well he can get around this

-If one was observant, they might notice Shinobi's skin taking on a slightly more rugged texture as his Protean shifts him to Rock type-

Pokecenter Battlefield - past

-As Fletcha is swinging around he gets pelted by rocks. The first few surprise him, getting clean hits, but he reacts quickly and uses Acrobatics to bob and weave through most of the rest of them with relative safety. Between the rocks and Brave Bird recoil, he's now at about half health-

Fletcha: Phew, that Will-O-Wisp was a good idea after all...

-He finishes swinging around and goes to smack Shinobi with the rest of his Acrobatics, and doesn't notice the Protean type shift immediately, though may if his attack connects-

-Lucia has come back to the apartment she was staying in a while back. She tries her key, but the still won't open.-

???: Welcome back!

-She turns to see Zeal and Gui.-

Lucia: Oh, Zeal! What's going on here? My key isn't working.

Zeal: Well...

-He grins and scratches the back of his head.-

I've run out of the money my uncle lent me. I don't have nearly enough to keep renting this place, especially when I'm not even sticking around here.

Lucia: But what about the stuff I left here?!

Zeal: Don't worry! That's why I'm here!

-He hands her a paper with an address and a key.-

I put into storage, it should all be there.

Gui: We've been waiting here the past several days hoping you would show up. It's getting reeeeally boooring. I told him he could have just left that note on the door. No one's staying there right now anyway.

Zeal: N-never mind that, there's something I need to ask you about!

Lucia: Oh? What's that?

-Zeal stops smiling.-

Zeal: You know that necklace I had around when you were staying with me? The one shaped like half of a Cyndaquil egg?

-Lucia nods.-

Lucia: What about it?

Zeal: It's been stolen. And someone told me that you were the thief.

Lucia: Wha... Of course I'm not!

-Zeal glances at Gui, who smiles cheerfully.-

-Zeal breathes a sigh of relief.-

Zeal: Okay, so I can still trust you, and that was just Silvio being untrustworthy yet again. I'm really glad this was so painless to work out.

-He pauses.-

But still... I have to wonder who did take it. That necklace is still the closest thing I have to a lead in my search for Fajro.

Lucia: Maybe it was that Silvio guy? Like you said, he's always untrustworthy. And isn't he the guy who's been giving you false clues all along? Wouldn't it make sense for him to be the one to steal a real clue?

Gui: ...You know, she has a point.

Zeal: ...Yeah, that's a really obvious solution, I don't know why I didn't think of it. In fact, it's the only solution that makes any sense at all.

-He grins.-

-Lucia gives a puzzled look.-

Zeal: Anyway, where are you headed now?

-a mass of CAT-6 and XLR cables burst out of the stage, assembling into a four-armed humanoid figure clad in holographic sheets of glittery rainbow gauze-

C-QN: C-QN here, pumped to liberate you from this cesspool of C-list talent!

-four spotlight beams flick on, now converted into multicolored laser beams that leave wicked sparks where they strike the stage-

C-QN: Are you ready to ROCK?!

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?

-Ren doesn't break his smile -although his eyes do betray the fact that he is profoundly worried - while one thoughts runs though his mind that his psychic-types and Rio pick up on.-

Ren: Glitches. We need to prevent a panic.

-Ren signals for The Contest Master to be ported out by Erik, who obliges as Christine uses Misty Terrain for a stage smoke effect as Gamma uses Tri-Attack to emulate a laser light show.-

Ren: -striking a pose- Oh you bet we are! But if you want in on this number, you better keep up!

-While Ren is being bombastic; Kitsune, Rio, and Vincent get in position to protect the audience.-
