Ever Grande City - Marie's Room

Marie is currently writing an article for her blog while Hikari is just playing around.

"Did you know? There's an asteroid coming down! Isn't that awesome?!" asked Hikari, excitedly

Marie turned on her chair to face Hikari, looking baffled "Imminent death is awesome?"

"Not that! Imagine going to space and heroically destroy the threat to all life on our planet! I'm already starting to build my mecha for that!"

Marie blinked a few times and then sighed "Hikari, what happened to you?"

Hikari stopped, being a little taken aback "... Eh?"

"I know a lot can change as time goes, but you're way too hyper and peppy." Marie sighed again "... You're faking it aren't you?"

Hikari flinched for a moment "Of course not, it's just been a long time since we last saw each other. A lot happened since then!"

"You're lying." Marie bluntly stated "When I first arrived, you were acting a lot differently than from now. You knew I would notice something was off, didn't you?"

"U-Uh..."

"Figured as much." Marie paused "... Have you ever talked to anyone else about your problems?"

"I-I don't really have any problems." Hikari giggled a little then noticed Marie giving her a stern look "... Not buying it?"

"Not in the slightest." Marie tapped her fingers on the chair's arm "Does your boyfriend actually know anything about you other than the basics?"

"Uh... Well... He never asked..."

Marie facepalmed "I'll just say this now. If you just pretend to be someone you aren't all the time while dating him, someday he's going to find out."

She then turned back to the computer and went back to writing, meanwhile, Hikari just sat on the bed and sighed, there's a good amount of silence between them until someone broke it

"You're actually really afraid of that asteroid aren't you?" asked Marie, still focused on her work

"Yes..." said Hikari, now lacking any sort of energy while doing something on her phone.

Ever Grande City

-Alexander kept walking until his instincts warned him that something was coming up behind him- U Alexander: "Who the...?"

-Alexander turned around and spotted a Lotad and a Mawile trying to sneak up on him-

-Alexander became confused but didn't drop his guard around the pair of pokemon in case they were about to attack him-

Alexander: "Are they wild or do they have trainers nearby?"

-Alexander turned to the nearby trainers and wondered if the pair belonged to them-

Alexander: "Hey are these two your pokemon? They tried to sneak up on me."

Jacob: -Thinking to himself more, he sits his chair down, gets up, strides towards the room's exit, grabbing his jacket off the hanger and slipping it on-

-He leers at Kanshou and Bakuya, which are leaning against a wall, and decides to take the two swords as well before exiting-

I'm going to make the world fight to try and take me out.

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."

Ever Grande City, Gestern

As the trainer saw Aicha Mistral already picked her up, flying back to Sergey.

Aicha: <Aww, let me down! I'll get Fly-sick!>

Seconds later they arrived back at the group

Aicha: <Aww, it would've been fun.>

Mistral: <For you.>

Sergey waved at the trainer

Sergey: "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."

Aicha: <... he always apologizes for me... if really somebody would get mad I would take responsibility for my pranks myself...>

Jacob: -Looks at his phone, and he sighs- Well, dammit. Can't go check out Mt. Chimney then... what else can I do...?

-He sighs and sends out his team, and directs them to go just spend some time relaxing-

-He wanders over to a sheer edge of the island and sits-

Can't think of anything else... I can't track this Zinnia down... Eskay is goodness knows where, what else am I supposed to be working on right now..?

-He lays back- Am I actually good at any of this? Or am I just wasting my time? I get all prepped and hyped up to get something done and minutes later it all drains away.

-He closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep-

-Alexander waved back at Sergey-

Alexander: "It's fine, no-one got hurt. Just wondered why they were following me or who they belonged to."

-Alexander approached the trainers casually, watching the Tropius returning the Mawile to the group-

Alexander: "I'm guessing they're yours right? Name's Alexander, and assuming by your pokemon team... You're probably here for the Elite Four right?"

Alexander: "Huh, now that's a surprise. Most of the trainers here never stop bragging about how they'll win against the Elite Four."

-At that moment Nikita and John accidently broke free from their pokeballs much to Alexander's surprise-

John: <What the...?>

Alexander: "Again? Really? That's the third time that's happened..."

-Alexander reached for their respective pokeballs until he decided to leave them out for awhile-

Alexander: "These two are part of my team, had them since I started in Unova and helped me win in the league back there."

John: <Seems like the pokeballs misfired again...>

Nikita: <John, focus. We have company.>

John: <Well aware of that, thanks.>

-The duo observed the other pokemon cautiously but stayed by Alexander's side-

Alexander: That’s understandable, Hoenn does have some impressive sights around this time of the year.

Alexander: Really? Well I wish them luck because they’ll need it. The Hoenn Elite Four are one of the more difficult bunch of trainers and not ones to be taken lightly.

-As the other trainers spoke Alexander noticed Nikita and John looking like they were expecting a fight and gave them a small, subtle reassuring wave-

Alexander: “Easy you two, they aren’t looking for a fight.”

-Nikita and John calmed down afterwards as Alexander told them that they were in no immediate danger-

John: <Yeah sorry about that, we just take our role of keeping our trainer safe more seriously than an average Team. I’m John, this is Nikita.>

-As John spoke he folded his sword-like arms behind his back and adjusted his posture to a more upright and respectful demeanour-

-Nikita nodded towards the other pokemon as John introduced them both-

Nikita: <Hello there. Apologies if we startled anyone, usually we’re met with hostility in the presence of other trainers and their companions.>

Mistral stepped a bit back, behind Sergey, upon noticing he gave her a reassuring pat

Sergey: "She's still a bit... shy when others mention fights... one could say she's afraid of such things."

The Tropius came back a bit as the other Pokémon changed their position, showing no will to fight.

Sergey: "See, nothing to be afraid of."

He again looked at Alexander

Sergey: "So, why are you here then?"

-The Duskull laughs haughtily-

-Volt, the Rotom, stays silent-

-More Magmar groans-

<Oh, don't be so down, flam boggle. Don't you remember the fun times~?>

-Shadow laughs again-

-Alexander removed his hat and scratched the back of his head embarrassed-

Alexander: "I... got lost on the way into the city, the plan was to rest up for a few days, draw up a battle strategy for the Elite Four and restock my supplies. I didn't count on getting lost along the way, not one of my finest moments admittedly."

-Alexander gave an awkward smile as he placed his hat back on his head-

John: <Glad to hear, it'll be nice to catch a little R&R for now.>

Nikita: <But remain vigilant, Alexander still needs us to protect him and being complacent won’t aid us.>

John: <Right, but still even you could use some time to rest…>

Nikita: <...Hmm.>
