Sird: Thank you. Back to camp it is.

-she takes some freshly-bought AA batteries, and inserts then into a device holding a Master Ball she wears on her wrist-

-she then glows, transforming into a more-or-less Mew shape-

Mew!Sird: -stretches- I could get used to this.

FYI. There are a few things retconned here. One, Blue's father died of an embolism, not cancer. Two, he died a bit more recently than a few years back. THANKS!

Sea of Kyogre, Floating Fortress, Command Center

Glendower is looking through an After Action Report for an acquisition and assassination mission that was botched.

<Glendower: Tch. This was a cockup indeed. Completely failed to get the files. At least the good doctor died.>

Blue is still on the bench.

-blip-

<Enigma: You are considering having the construct removed.>

Blue tenses, then spins furious to Enigma. He raises a hand.

<Enigma: Before you begin, know that I only did what your father asked under massive protest.>

Blue: That hardly makes it right!

<Enigma: No. I suppose not. Still, before you remove the construct, you should know two things.>

Blue sighs, then slumps.

Blue: Alright, lay it on me.

<Enigma: The strength of your gift, and the way it has been thwarted, has led to a... pressurization, let's say. If you release the floodgates, your gift may do anything from kill you, to overwhelm you and drive you mad. The likelihood of you coming out intact is slim to none.>

Blue grunts.

Blue: And the other thing?

<Enigma: Your father did not die of natural causes.>

<Glendower: They interrogated the man, but he refused to give up the files. Searched his house top to bottom too. Their failure has completely killed our attempts to recreate the Shadow Pokemon process.>

Blue: What.

<Enigma: I was... incapacitated by the Pokemon of a group of masked men. When I came to, your father was dead. I suspect they induced the embolism with a syringe, injected air into his bloodstream.>

Blue: My... my god! And the police?

<Enigma: I tried to tell them, later, but they're either incompetent or corrupt. 50/50 chance.>

Blue: Arceus. Arceus fucking damn. Do you know who they were?

<Enigma: No. Unfortunately, no clue.>

Blue: Fuck. FUCK.

<Enigma: Have you looked at the hard drive again?>

Blue: No, why?

<Enigma: I suspect there is more on it.>

He hesitates.

<Enigma: I'm sure... I'm sure you do not want to spend any more time with me than you have to. I'll leave you.>

Blue: No, wai-

Blue: Damnit. DAMNIT.

<Glendower: End result: Dr. Cho, deceased. Shadow Pokemon Files: lost, permanently. A damn shame.>

Lazarus leans over the Metagross' shoulder.

Lazarus: A damn shame indeed.

<Glendower: Oh! Milord, I did not notice your approach!>

Lazarus: Quite alright, my dear Glendower. So, going over old files?

<Glendower: I know, I know, going over failures is a bad habit. But it itches, milord.>

Lazarus: There, there, Glendower. It was only a passing thought anyway. I've found my own schtick, a better one too.

-Pent's here again, sitting in front of a crackling black campfire with the horseman's blade stuck directly through the center. He sighs slightly and glances up at the window of sky through the cavern's ceiling-

Somethin's coming ain't it? A nice big storm that's got the shadows and the Slip all excited... Gonna need some training, maybe get my obscura up to scratch beyond just handheld fireballs...

-He shrugs and shifts the sword about a little, causing the fire to spark up slightly-

Might ask Sol... Then again she's got an apprentice already. Not sure who else knows enough...

"Sounds like the sort of "not fun" that would require a trip to the psychologist afterwards." she grimaced slightly.

-Fletcha and Scarlet follow Sird from above to the alleyway, and witness Sird's transformation-

Fletcha: -wispering to Skarlet- <Oh crud that acutually is Sird...>

<I'm going to try to get a closer look, stay nearby but out of sight with my stuff, we might need to make a speedy getaway if she finds out we're on to her.>

-Skarlet nods and heads off. Fletcha starts to circle down, trying to find a viable place to perch, to spy, that's not in the shadows-

Jacob: "Yeah we probably should have gotten some. Me especially. But after all I've been through, I think this was par the course for me. Granted, I haven't been the most stable person, but I like to think I've come a long ways."

-A certain young woman pulls pulls herself up to Pent's campsite.-

Selene: There you are!

-Satele *blips* up next to her.-

Satele: <She's been looking for you all night.>

Selene: Do I need a reason to look for my boyfriend?

-She walks up to the campfire - for some reason, though, a bit of the flame of the campfire seems to wisp off towards Selene.-

Selene: Hm?

-The flame turns teal and, in the blink of an eye, engulfs her.-

Satele: <Woah, what?!>

-When the flame dies down as quickly as it came, Selene gasps as she falls over.-

Selene: Woah, what?!

-Selene is now much, much curvier.-

Satele: <That's what I said! How did this happen?!>

A person like you who tried to restrain your emotions and was so closed to other people would likely have issues just boiling down until it went past a point where you couldn't possibly hold it back anymore." she then taps her pen on the table a few times "Being faced with such unstability, it's no wonder you would start searching for balance. Truly the card that would best symbolize you at the moment is Temperance"

Tori: "Wow... Wasn't that the first prize? Looks pretty special"

-She smiles and ruffles the daru-girl's hair-

"...You know, I've got some pokeblocks my Mom made in my room. How about we fill that up?"

-Tori takes the girl's hand-

-And is soon up here setting a box of home-made pokeblocks on the table-

Jacob: -Tilts his head- "I feel like I wasn't so much looking for balance as much as it found me. My entire life was me making decisions and having to trust no one but myself that I could get the job done. That I was the best at what I did. It was less bottling up all my issues, and more just moving past them and ignoring them. Once I found this group, I started, little by little, to rely on other people. Two years ago from today, I would never have been in a relationship with Hikari, or even allowed myself to talk to most of the other members of the team for help. My mindset was "if I can't do it, no one can". I've... matured. Especially over the last two years. I'm not blindly throwing myself at every fight. I don't need to prove anything to myself, or anyone else. Being willing to rely on others does not speak to personal weakness. Once I found I could actually integrate with this "team"... my entire life just became so much easier. I became more of a balanced person. Maybe I did bottle everything up and let it boil over. I don't know, but I know it doesn't matter now. The me of then is not the me now."

... Okay, two things. Firstly what the frig just happened, secondly I didn't do what just happened. ._.

"The mere act of ignoring your issues is what causes them to grow, until they reach such a point that you can't ignore them anymore, as they grew into something far too strong to be ignored or moved past. Perhaps you didn't think of it as it happened, but it could've been a subcounscious desire to achieve such balance as it wouldn't have happened if you weren't willing to allow it."

She tapped the pen on the table a couple more times as she looked over the Lovers card.

"Even then, balance is something that can be easily changed even with the smallest thing. A choice such as the one the card of the Lovers represent can have very big consequences into one's psyche, good or bad, not only of the target of said choice, but on the one who makes it as well, perhaps even more so in that case."

She then gave a cheerful smile

"The mind is a fascinating thing isn't it? That's why I study psychology, the way the mind works is a mystery in itself, even if it's not exactly supernatural."

-Pent is still a little dumbstruck by this-

-She chuckles-

Jacob: "...Hm." -He ponders her words for a few moments-

-Then he shakes his head- "No. I didn't ignore issues or problems I had to deal with. I simply kept moving forward. But you make more than one good point. And indeed, the mind is a great mystery, if not supernatural. My focuses are really on the material world... But yeah."

-He shrugs and looks at his pocket watch- "... Hm."

-He looks up- "So how long are you going to be in Hoenn?"
