Fortis: Because it's the fourth of July!

Fortis: You know, the holiday with all the birdies and flags and fireworks and stuff!

Noelle: ...Is this a Unovan thing?

Fortis: Uh huh!

Noelle: Oh wait, is it that one holiday with all the Braviaries and freedom?

Fortis: Uh huh!

Noelle: Ah... well, in Kalos we celebrate [Bastille] Day instead, but that's not until the fourteenth.

Fortis: But you can still have fireworks, though!

Psyche glomps Noelle from behind. ~Did I hear Fireworks? :3 I haven't celebrated the 4th since I was a wee girl, I would love to set off some fireworks~~

Satele: <This last time was... I'd say around twenty minutes. She dehydrated herself, though.>

Selene: I'm not dehydrated!

-Selene stands up from her bench. She swoons sideways.-

Satele: <You're drench in more sweat than a Pidgey in a Weavile convention.>

Selene: ... Do birds sweat?

Satele: <Not important!>

Never did celebrate Independence Day, though the folks did back when they were still in Unova. The expats did always get really annoying around then though growing up...

-Selene takes the bottle, pops the top off, and tilts it a solid ninety degrees as she starts chugging the water.-

Satele: <Hm, yes, very feminine.>

Psyche shrugs. ~8.8, too much black.~

To Mimmy: ~You know, if I wasn't a mind reader, I totally would have believed you?~

Psyche shrugs. ~I literally know nothing about Unovan history, whatsoever that hasn't been shown on social media today or was told to me by an overly aggressively patriotic father. I like to say his stories because they're obnoxiously patriotic, so they're so easy to infuse with sarcasm.~

To Mimmy: ~Well now we light stuff on fire and watch explosions. o3o~

-Selene pops the cap back on the water bottle.-

Satele: <Uh huh. Your trainer's from the desert, right? I figured you'd already know about dehydrating from him.>

Selene: Hey, last time I was in the desert, I had Magic Guard.
