Flare Island

The flamethrower completely misses Socrates. However, it does end up singing off most of Plato's glossy plumage.

Plato: -Squaking- <Gah! My Plumage! My beautiful, beautiful plumaaaage!>

He turns to face Brie, Skyfire and Altantis. His eyes teemed with a most vivid red.

Socrates: <Keep it together, brother!>

Plato: <YOU SHALL PAY FOR YOUR MOST HEINOUS OF CRIMES!>

Plato begins to divebomb the group, specifically Brie

Mossdeep City

Pianis: Okay, help them out.

Siren: <You got it.> -fires an Ice Beam at Socrates-

Cinnamon: <Oooh!> -calls up a weak Blizzard-

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: Oh dear.

-Brie is knocked over by the divebomb-

Brie: Sabía que tenía razón en odiar los pájaros...

Skyfire: <HEY! Eyes on me, feathers!>

-she launches another stream of flame in Plato's direction, this time a bit more accurately. Atlantis, meanwhile, uses a somewhat wildly-aimed Ice Beam-

Flare Island

Plato is hit by the first Ice Beam and Blizzard, which turns his divebomb into a crash and tumble into Brie.

He is then blasted to the rock face by the Flamethrower and pinned to it second Ice Beam.

Plato: -Squirming and Squaking- <HOOLIGANS! RUFFIANS! BANDITS! PROLETARIATS! PLEBIAAAAAAANS!>

Socrates: <Plato!>

Socrates starts breaking his friend out of the ice

Meanwhile, Lex has managed to get quite far down the beach.

Lex: -Smirking- So long, Jerk-Team! I gave you your chance and you blew it! Don't think I won't report you!

Mossdeep City, near the Flare base

Cinnamon: <Bye-bye!>

Pianis: You'll report us? For what?

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: Skyfire, go grab him! We can't let them know we're here!

Skyfire: -looks between Brie, Plato/Socrates, and Lex- <...I'll stay here, thanks.>

-she snarls at the two birds-

Brie: Atlantis!

Atlantis: <I'm staying here to protect Skyfire!>

Brie: -facepalms-

Flare Island

After Socrates breaks his friend out of the ice, Plato stammers and stumbles a bit before they both fly off a breakneck speed towards their trainer, who has seemingly run out of sight.

Behind a Rock, further down the beach.

Lex is panting heavily as he leans himself against a rock, peppering his panting with heavy coughs.

Lex: Too much running, lungs in pain.

Lex squirms on the rock and looks down his back with a frown.

Lex: Need to make adjustments when I get back to my own quarters.

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: Well, that was confusing. Stupid birds... Still, we can probably get into the base now.

Meanwhile

Skyfire: <Atlantis, you know you don't need to do that, right?>

Atlantis: <But what if you got hurt because I was busy fighting someone? What then?>

Skyfire: -sighs-

Mossdeep City, outside the Flare base

-Pianis finally gets up off the ground-

Pianis: That's good news. Let's hope we don't find anyone else like him inside.

Behind that Rock.

Lex: Oh, I should do that thing.

Lex holds out his cyborg arm and activates the Holographic Tablet once more.

He brings up a map of the Island facility, and begins remotely shutting the most apparent exits and entrances on the island while also recalling Plato and Socrates as the fly overhead.

Lex: The Jerk-Team are going to have to try a little harder to get in now~ That buys me time.

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: Honestly, we're probably going to.

First, though, I think we need to find the entrance.

Outside Mossdeep

-A rather cold, wet, and miserable-looking Dune pulls himself onto the island shore.-

Dune: I liked the desert. I miss the desert. Can we go back to the desert?

-Dune's mount pulls himself out of the water with some slight hesitation.-

Rill: <I dunno. Salt water isn't my favorite, but I'd say that was pretty nice.>

-Something zooms in a blur, and in it's place is a wall of water. Dune, in the span between seeing the water and it crashing into him, reaches into his bag and pulls out a certain sword or great width, and hides behind it. Rill doesn't care about the water, personally.-

*SPLAAAASH!*

-Dune peaks out from behind the Eighth Wonder, considerably less wet that if he had not taken cover.-

Dune: Let's get to higher ground.

Rill: <I like it down-!>

-A shout comes over the sound of the ocean.-

Deziree: C'mon, we can go WAY faster than that around the corner!

Sharpedo: <HECK YEAH WE CAN!>

Rill: <... Never mind let's go.>

Mossdeep, outside the Flare base

Pianis: Well, I think the front door would be a good—

-Pianis is interrupted by the front door sealing itself-

Pianis: Never mind.

Siren: <I think we should go in from above.>

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: Hmm...

-hears Siren- You know what? I support that entirely.

And hang on, speaking of Latii, where is Ruby Rose?

Lavaridge hotsprings

Ruby Rose: -kicking back- Aaaaah...human life is amazing.

Mossdeep City, outside the Flare base

Siren: <I don't have a clue. It's not my responsibility to keep track of her.>

Pianis: You've got enough flyers to take us up there, right? I'd rather not blow Siren's cover if I can help it.

Mossdeep City — Past

-Everest is battered by Aurelia's Acrobatics-

Everest: <Gah! Give me a break, it's been a while!>

-Myra, meanwhile, is struck by Pursuit.-

Myra: <Aaah! It didn't woooork!>

Eskay: Just try it again, now that he's close and not hiding!

Sarah: Everest, Venoshock him once he's poisoned!

-Myra tries another Toxic. Everest shakes Aurelia off and sends a surge of poison directly at where the Toxic was aimed.-

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: ...I'm sure she's fine.

(to Pianis) Are you mocking me? Of course I do. -she sends out Halcyon- Climb on him.

Halcyon: <Don't touch the antenna.>

-Brie, meanwhile, hops on Skyfire and takes off-

Mossdeep City - past

Aurelia: <Wheeee!> (Is shaken off of the Scolipede)

Iwamori: <Poison on poison on poison. This is not good...>

At point blank range, there's no dodging that Toxic blob, and the shock from that hit made it even harder to dodge the inevitable Venoshock.

Era: (thinking) Iwamori's on his last legs... hope this last hit is a good one... (Out loud) Same tactics, you two! Pursuit and Acrobatics!

Aurelia: <With pleasure!> (resumes climbing)

Iwamori: <Ugh... Gotta give this one all I got...> (resumes Pursuit of ghosty)

Mossdeep City, outside the Flare building

-Pianis picks up Cinnamon and climbs on Halcyon-

Cinnamon: <Oooh!>

-Siren, meanwhile, goes invisible-

Mossdeep — Past

Sarah: Protect!

-Everest curls up and shields himself from Aurelia's climbing-

Everest: <Neh heh!>

-Myra however, takes the Pursuit, getting knocked down to the last third of her health.-

Myra: <Owowow...>

Eskay: Hit them both with a Discharge!

-Myra sparks a little bit, then sends a burst of electricity all around her, which Everest also manages to Protect himself from.-

Mossdeep City - past

Aurelia: (is kept off of Everest by the Protect) <Aww! I thought we were having so much fun! Lemme in!>

Era: Iwamori! Wide Guard!

Iwamori: <...More running around? Really? Arceus!...>

Alas, though he manages to shield Aurelia from the Discharge, the bad poison takes his last sliver of health.

Era: You did your best, buddy. Back into the Poké Ball you go.

Era contemplates for a minute, then reaches for a new ball in his jacket and releases a Greninja.

Era: Higure, you're up!

Higure: <Let's do this.>

Era: Aurelia, keep trying! The defense has to wear off eventually! Higure, Night Slash on the Rotom!

Higure: <Aye.> Higure focuses for a moment, then rushes at Rotom with a slash of Dark energy.

Outside Neo-Flare

-Halcyon and Skyfire carry Pianis and Brie up to the roof-

Mossdeep City, roof of the Neo-Flare building

Pianis: Okay, see anything that looks like an entrance?

Siren: <You have a huge red stain on your back.>

Pianis: What?

-Pianis turns around to find Siren, who is already back in her Lapras disguise-

Siren: <On your coat. I bet it's from that weird red ice bug thing. And some of it's in your hair too.>

Pianis: Okay... gonna have to get it washed after this.

Cinnamon: <Why? It looks pretty!>

Outside Neo-Flare

Brie: You look like you killed someone and rolled around in their corpse. Anyway, let's see...

Skyfire: -is attempting to melt a hole through the roof-

Brie: Let's try at least a little subtlety.
