Meet The New Boss
Hello! This is a post going into further detail into Robin's backstory, with some new revelations. However, due to the circumstances... it's dark. Really dark. I'd still prefer you read it, though, as it's important to Robin's character arc. It's also a bit more prose-y than my usual fare. But regardless, hope you enjoy.
Ark Of Yamato, Robin's room
It was evening, and within the depths of our living quarters I, Robin, was getting ready for bed.
I crawled underneath the covers and lay there for a while, hoping sleep would come to me. But that night I had an important question on my mind.
I looked over to my nightstand at my 3DS and the games I had for it, particularly the one that told this world's version of my story. And I wondered:
What really happened in the timeline I came from?
Aside from what I saw in the game I remembered nothing of my time as Grima after killing Chrom. When I was one with him, up until Alduin freed my soul, all I knew was darkness, void, nothing.
As sleep finally started to overtake me I wondered if I would ever know the answer.
Little did I know it would come to me that night.
Robin's dream, Grima's memory
Six eyes on my dragon body, six on my human one. With all twelve I surveyed a world falling into ruin at my hand.
I could see them now, those poor unfortunate mortals foolish enough to "befriend" me. As the Risen descended upon them I delighted in their feeble final words.
"G-Get away!"
"I-I've failed you, milord..."
"I'm not giving up... I'm not, I'm no-"
"Teach can't end like this..."
"They saw me... They saw me..."
No! NO! Please, someone, anyone, save my friends...
It was then my attention was diverted to a woman with green hair and pointy ears standing before me. The one delusional enough to be my lover.
Tiki...
I could see a mix of utter sorrow and utter rage in her eyes as she was enveloped in a cocoon of light and burst forth as a dragon. She flew toward my human body, roaring in defiance.
Tiki you can't do this!
With a lunge my dragon form clamped her in its jaws and I relished her anguished screams. I carved her up with my fangs and swallowed her in chunks until there was nothing of her left.
TIKI!
Reality, present
"TIKI!"
I jolted awake and screamed her name at the top of my lungs.
Shortly thereafter Lina burst into my room.
"Robin! What's wrong?!"
I stumbled out of bed, shaking madly.
"I... I..."
It was then I vomited. Then again. And again.
I kept vomiting and didn't want to stop until I got the awful taste of her blood out of my mouth.
