"Kinda funny because I ran into him yesterday being chased by a Poochyena and helped him... sorta, then he let me have a Mudkip as thanks."

-She pets the pink Mareep while Strom launches himself into the air over the lake-

-in little root-

We see a teenage girl named Rebecca Goldman walking around with a Swampert. The girl has purple hair and is covered in piercings. The Swampert darts in front of the girl and blocks her path.

Rebecca: -sigh- Move, Violet.

Violet: <Not until you seriously consider what you're about to do.>

Rebecca: Vi, you know my mom is all about freedom of expression and finding yourself and all that hippie crap. She's fine with me getting a tattoo.

She tries to go around Violet, but is blocked yet again.

Rebecca: What is your problem?

Violet:<You really don't know?>

Rebecca: If I did, we wouldn't be having this conversation, now would we?

Violet: <Touche. But seriously, how have you not heard the rumors about the J-Team being in town?>

Rebecca: What makes you think I didn't know?

Rebecca finally forces her way around her 'mon and starts walking again.

Violet: <…> -runs to catch up-

<So you have been keeping track of them.>

Rebecca: Of course.

Violet: <Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go find them and do all that hero crap you used to love!>

Rebecca: No. That's not my life anymore.

Violet: <Oh come on, Meds->

Rebecca whirls around and shoves Violet.

Rebecca: DO NOT CALL ME THAT. NEVER CALL ME THAT.

Violet: <Wow, geesh, okay then.>

They walk in silence for a while.

Rebecca: … Sorry.

Violet: <Whatever. Seriously though, what if you run into someone from the old team?>

Rebecca: I thinks the odds of that happening are kinda low, don't you? Besides, it's been about 2 years, five piercings, and three different hair colors since I last saw anyone on the J-Team. You honestly think they would recognize me?

Violet: <… Yeah, probably not.>

Virbank, past

-Ammy kneels down in front of Lucius' grave-

Human!Ammy: Lucius... Or Herbert, or whatever you want me to call you...

-She smirks-

I remember when we first met and I made a really bad impression, while jumping down Tagg's throat in the process. Then I battled you, and beat you, and made you wear a frilly pink dress... Good times.

-She looks up to the sky-

Then we had the adventure of a lifetime in ancient Ransei... And that's where I saw you in a different light.

-She looks back at the grave-

Sure, you tried to bail on us once... But after that, you stuck with us through the worst of it. And in the end you saved the world just as much as Tagg and I did.

-Tears start falling down her face-

But most of all you were my freind through it all. And I will never forget that.

-She stands up and heads back to where she was, where she and Umbra embrace each other-

Nico: You kept track? Neat!

-opens it-

A ship bound for Hoenn

-Savannah and Zelner have been on this ship for a couple hours. Savannah has been looking down at Willard, who's been asleep on her lap, while Zelner has been lying on his back and looking out at the ocean. Savannah shifts uncomfortably and glances at Zelner, as she already has several times so far on this trip. She finally works up the courage to say something.-

Savannah: Um...

-Zelner sits up.-

Zelner: Hm? What is it?

-Savannah looks down and blushes.-

Savannah: Y-you haven't said m-much at all th-this entire trip.

-Zelner smiles and looks back at the water.-

Zelner: Well... neither have you.

Savannah: B-but I-I'm...

-Her voice trails off.-

Zelner: It's okay to speak your mind with me, you know? I don't get upset very easily, if that's a concern.

Savannah: I kn-know... it's just...

Zelner: Well... It makes sense. You don't know me very well at all.

-He looks at Savannah again.-

Zelner: There's probably not a good way to fit this into a conversation, but it's been on my mind a lot today... I apologize for the sudden change in topic.

-He looks out at the water.-

Zelner: In truth, I used to be a lot like you are now. Probably even a bit worse. I couldn't ever say much of anything to anybody. And, well... I'm not sure what changed, but...

-He rests his arms on the side of the ship.-

Zelner: I just... grew confident. I suppose that's one way of putting it. I decided I'd say what was on my mind, regardless of what the people around me would think. Whether or not that's entirely positive depends on the person. That change wasn't simple, or quick. But over time, it happened. And it made me...

-He looks back at Savannah.-

Zelner: ...it made me more me, if that makes any sense.

-He sighs.-

Zelner: ...I'm sorry, I'm certain that could have been phrased more eloquently.

-Savannah looks down again.-

Savannah: N-no, that was f-fine.

Zelner: I never did answer your question...

-He looks out at the water again.-

Zelner: I'm... content. I'm just the sort of person who's happiest when he has plenty of time to think.

-He lies on his back again and looks back at Savannah.-

Zelner: And what about you?

-Savannah pauses for a moment.-

Savannah: I-I'm a bit b-bored, in t-truth...

-Zelner looks back at the water.-

Zelner: Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but didn't you pack a few games just before we left? Why haven't you played those?

-Savannah blushes, smiles nervously, and looks back at Willard.-

Savannah: I w-was afraid they'd g-get wet...

-Zelner smiles. The ship probably arrives near Petalburg soon after.-

Rebecca and Violet arrive at Oldale.

Violet: <I still question the logic of you getting a tattoo here, of all places.>

Rebecca: Well, you remember that cute boy from school I told you about?

Violet: <What, the one you said worshipped you for being a former Sinnoh champ?>

Rebecca: Yeah, him. Well, his dad used to be a tattoo artist. He said he would get his dad to give me one if I wrote his english essay for him.

Violet: <… Okay, glossing over the facts that you're a.) going to let an out of practice old man give you a tattoo, and b.) are helping a guy cheat… no, wait, those are actually pretty significant facts. Why do you think this is okay?>

Rebecca: Relax, Patrick showed me the tattoo his dad gave him and it looks fine. And the cheating thing isn't really a big deal. It's just one paper.

Violet:-sighs- <I guess I should just be glad you didn't agree to do something a little more X-rated than that.>

Rebecca: -rolls eyes-

Route 102

Lane:So...you're One of the assistants for the professor?

Aide:That is correct. Now as for my problem. Part of my duties, they include rearing some your Pokemon as Starters. Now she...well, seeing as you train fire types....there were 6 young Torchic that have...well, they got away from me...sad to say.

Lane:And? You're already looking for them, aren't you? I've barely been here a week.

Aide:True, true...but I have to be returning to my duties with the other Pokemon! Please, I'm asking you, begging even. If you help me find those Torchic, I swear I'll repay you!

-Lane takes a few moments to think.-

Lane:Hmmm...alright, I'll do it.

-The assistant beams.-

Aide:Thank you so much! Um...what was your name?

Lane:It's Lane. Lane Heiden.

Aide:Lane! Alright, when you find one, just fly it back to Little Root.-points it out on the map-Right here.

"But in my case, Alpha's tried to eat me... more than once and I've got him on the team so he doesn't try and eat anyone else. But I've got a bit of trouble understanding him sometimes because he can't speak, so he only roars."

"And unlike FeSO₄, I'm not sure he wants to talk."

-to Draca- "I mentioned offhand to Ren about Alpha and he said something along the lines of..."

Ren?: "7 out of every 10 Salamence I've seen have been temperamental and needed obscene amounts of training. "

Maggie: "...More like I just calculated how long it's been, but yeah."

-Inside is a copy of [Super Paper Mario]-
