-Raijin's left pectoral muscle and the area around it are blasted into shards by Kitsune's lance, leaving a gaping hole in the side of his chest and completely severing the left arm, which falls and shatters.-

Raijin: RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH I WILL NEVER SUBMIT TO LESSER BEINGS! NEVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!

-Raijin calls down lightning from the sky, which wraps and warps in the air before being drawn into Susano-o's blade.-

Dune: Hehe... I knew she made something just for this...

-Maria's eyes light up excitedly.-

-Raijin thrusts a hand at the blade in an attempt to block it, but only gets a progressively-frozen and shattering arm for his trouble. His roar of pain echoes through the entire, ruined plane and beyond.-

Dezilete: Kitsune! Over here!

-In a carved-out redoubt nearby, Dezilete waves to Kitsune and motions for her to get behind cover.-

Dezismack: YEAH! KICK HIS ASS!

Deziton: Get down from there, you idiot!

-A certain rocker girl is trying to stand atop the wall of debris and sandbags while a labcoat-and-soot covered Deziree is trying to pull her back down.-

Samantha: Ooh!~ A Scraggy may be nice.

-Kitsune makes a Combee line to the redoubt.-

Kitsune: <So is everyone okay?>

-glancing at Dezismack-

-Raijin's torso takes another shattering blow as Pents' mech rushes him through. He's now a (rather awkward) shattered torso holding up a head connected to a glowing base.-

-Susano-o raises his sword high.-

Kitsune: -after glancing over the sandbags- <Looks worse from farther away, doesn't it?>

Outside of Joseph and Munn's Room

-the two are returning from dinner when they hear muffled talking from inside-

???: Alright, one more fits in...let's...SEE!

???: Mmmmph!

???: Now try and say it, cher.

???: Chhbh bnnhrry!

???: Heeheehee!~

-confused, Joseph opens the door to find the following scene:-

-Joseph and Munn lay on the ground against the wall, looking very confused. Joseph's cheeks are bulging out like a chipmunk's, with the occasional white marshmallow showing from his mouth. Munn, meanwhile, has carrots tied to every one of his fingers, and toes, as well as poking from his mouth like walrus tusks-

-Kyrie and Alys sit on the bed, dressed in girly, frilly pajamas. Alys' are light blue and elegant, while Kyrie's are a vibrant pink. Her pajamas have a fermata on the back, with "hold me" written above it-

-all immediately turn to look at the intruders. All of them become aware of a hideous, agonized shrieking sound, as though the universe realized its mistake. This was not meant to be seen, by anyone-

Outside Joe and Munn's Room

Joseph: This...isn't...

Munn: ...really...happening?

-they open the door and enter without incident-

Somewhere

Tomahawk: <Bah, what do you know about fighting? Humans don't fight, they just boss peoplemon around>

Blitz: "I still caught you, didn't I?"

Tomahawk: <Yeah, yeah. Take all the credit for your giant rock's handiwork. Typical>

-The Rufflet crosses his wings defiantly and sits under a tree. Training was going fine, until the new team member decided to get all huffy when Blitz suggested he try something a little different-

Blitz: Oy. Maybe I should just release him and save us both the trouble...

-With a sigh the boy looks to the horizon in search of answers-

"...Wait a sec."

Slightly later

Tomahawk: <You put up a bunch of cans. Big whoop, you're into art>

Blitz: "Just wait, I'm not done yet"

-A few minutes pass before the moon finally come out enough to trigger the shadowy transformation. Once the coast is clear, the were-Greninja nods to the rest of his team-

Shinobi: <Okay, here it goes>

-He then proceeds to take out the cans sitting on rocks with a few Ice Beams and Scald attacks, until Stark stomps on a board to launch a few more cans that are sliced in half by Water Shuriken. Down then psychically launch a couple of the downed targets at Shinobi, who is quickly replaced by a Substitute-

-Shinobi turns to the Rufflet-

Shinobi: <Still think I don't know anything about fighting?>

Tomahawk: <How- Bu- Wha- You cheated! You're not supposed to be able to do that!>

Shinobi: -Chuckles- <Maybe I did>

-To Stark- <Okay buddy, you can have your snack now>

Stark: <Yes!> -Starts nomming on a few of the battered soda cans-

-The mech stumbles and smirks-

And just because I'm feeling generous, mister lighting rod can have the last hit.

Aqua Resort

-a young red-haired woman is sitting at a table, talking to a Chandelure floating near her-

Jenna: Some vacation this turned out to be, huh? Lily's all "let's go to Fiore!" so I say yes... and why does she want to go there? Because the goddamn J-Team is here. What, did she not get the message after the witch girl dumped her? Again?

Illumina: <Well, perhaps she is still coming to terms with it.>

Jenna: I get that. But still, am I ever going to actually get away from these people? I just want a chance to relax and do normal things. Like, you know, working on the whole move tutor business, maybe training Lu up, catching some new Pokémon.

Illumina: <Those have been progressing well. Lulu in particular is much more powerful.>

Jenna: Oh, sure, except for the fact that I can't stop getting her to explode things. You know I ran into that Tag jerk and she tried to kill him?

Illumina: <This is not unexpected.>

-Jenna sighs-

Jenna: So yeah, some vacation. Next time, I'm picking where we go. Maybe I should've stayed in Kalos with Kyle and Matthew.

Illumina: <I think you just need to relax.>

Jenna: Believe me, I'm trying.

Dezismack: If only because I can't take THAT ASSHAT'S HEAD OFF MYSELF!

-Susano-o gives a nod to Pent as he brings his sword down.-

-The world stands in silence before a crease appears, going from Raijin's forehead to the base. A blinding white explosion covers the mindscape.-

Grim:<Given what's probably going on...I think he'd appreciate the lack of a headache when he wakes up.>

Cass:<Oh really now? And you know why he's been sleeping the damn day away?>

Grim:<If I had to guess...he's in his own mind.>

Cass:<Wha.......?>

-Grim nudges the window open.-

Grim:<Come with me...I'll explain a few things.>

A short time later.

-Grim and Cass are flying about.-

Cass:<So...you're tellin' the kid has a little world he can duck into inside his lil head, eh? Ya really expect me ta believe that?>

Grim:<Quite honestly? No. However, that's what he tells me. And Senshi can attest to it. And how could you explain that, hm? A long dream?>

Cass:<Well...I suppose you have a point...>

-They land on a nearby roof.-

<So, Grim, right? How d'ya know the kid? I can't say I've seen many Noctowl round here.>

-Grim gives an owlish chuckle.-

Grim:<I suppose not. I'm Jason's first Pokemon. His Starter, you might say.>

Cass:<Heh, no bull? Musta been a long time...>

Grim:<13 years next month...and I've never regretted a single day.>

-Cass does the bird equivalent of reclineing.-

Cass:<S'gotta be nice...living a life like that.>

Grim:<Well...you are now, don't forget. You're part of a team now.>

-And then he is Shadow Ball'd off the ledge.-

<Squark!>

-Whump!-

Grim:<You said you wanted to be trained, right? Consider this the beginning of the first session!>

-From the ground, Cass seems to smirk as he picks himself up.-

Cass:<So that's how it is, eh? Alright, wise guy...>

-He launches himself at the Noctowl.-

<Don't expect me to go easy on youse!>

Kitsune: -seeing Susano-o's sword coming down- <Gather 'round ladies!>

-Kitsune spreads her tail as wide as they'll go and puts up a Protect that is larger due to her extended tails.-
