I'm kind of used of it, comes with the territory of being a researcher, and my past, but that's a story for another day.

Jane, Anom, and myself are researchers for the Expanded Pokedex Project. Jane specializes in legendary Pokemon, Anom's an archeologist, and I'm a biologist.

Is that like how life grows and changes?

Indeed, it is the study of life, directly translated from the (insert Pokeworld Greek analogue here).

Interesting. Back in the forest, I witness many things. How others pokemon evovled, how the trees grew, noted how plants I never saw before grew and florished. It was so full of life...

...but when there is a lot of life, there is going to be a lot of death to Balance it out..

Isn't that the truth. I've observed enough of the natural world to tell you that much. For something to live, something must die. Well, unless you're dealing with non-carnivorous plants or Grass Pokemon, but I digress.

You may have observed it Tagg. But you haven't lived it, or grown up with it.

It looks beautiful, but behind that beauty are nameless creatures dwelling in the darkest crevices devouring the flesh of the oblivious and ignorant. These creatures remain nameless, for no-one has seen them... and lived.

I was told this since I was very young. The message was clear, The world is cruel, the world is wicked...

Maybe you don't...

Who knows. I certainly don't, even as a youth I had to fight in terrotorial wars between various pokemon, or steal food from other Pokemon when there was hardly any berries or edible food in the forest. But these fights aren't like Pokemon battles that you and I participate in, these are full out bloodbath brawls.

Sounds pretty nasty, I'll admit. I've gotten lost in the woods before, did things I'd rather not repeat for the survival of myself and my team.

Trust me Tagg. It couldn't be any worse that what I've done in times of starvation. But lets not go there tonight.

The Forest Gaurdian tries her darndest to keep things civil. But it never works out in the end.
