Um, suppressing the right to suppress others is perfectly valid.
Where there's life, there's hope.Really dude? Really? You're saying that people who are pro choice... are like the Taliban. That people who think women should have control over their own reproductive rights... are like a neo nazi supporting, xenophobic and sexist pig.
I'm not going down this route when you're making nonsensical, absurdist arguments like that.
Considering the vast array of medical complications it can cause, forcing anyone to carry an unwanted pregnancy is cruel and dangerous. It's a God damned shame that anyone thinks it's a "Christian value" to oppose access to abortion.
Oy, pun.
Where there's life, there's hope. How about we move away from the abortion debate. It's way too much of a divisive topic, and we know very well about what happens when we bring controversial topics like abortion into the mix.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWhat does prayer cause, btw, for the one praying? Please note the last part, I'm not trying to be dickish, trollish or flame-throwing(especially after what just transpired).
It would seem to me that prayers affect a mentality of the one praying.
I believe prayer is a form of discipline and guidance, it helps people find answers.
Prayer gives you hope. Whether that hope is good or not depends on the person and how they deal with it.
Where there's life, there's hope.Even from a pure atheistic point of voice, if someone truly believes something can get better and that there are people who care about them to help them through, then empirically there's actually a higher chance that it will (there have been countless studies on that. More than I could ever name.) Even a non-religious person can experience this through practicing regular positive thinking, and having a network of friends and family supporting them. That's essentially the phenomenon

Just once I'd like to go somewhere on these forums where people have serious conversations and it doesn't devolve into a slap fight.
@Walrus: Or pull the DARVO, as it tends to be.
Or being insulting to people. You know.
On a Christian forum.
For a faith that believes in the dignity and worth of all people.
And values demonstrating love for all others, even if they persecute or disagree with you.
This website is turning me into a misanthrope.
