This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Not in DC. Everything is great! We got Superman back and he's got a kid and his kid is hanging out with Batman's kid, Wally is back but without killing off or erasing Black Wally because that'd be weird, fun times are back and it's working hand over fist.
My various fanfics.you can't just give people what they want don't you know anger sells
Jackal: I'm doing my best, Petey! Can't you see I'm tripping balls right now!
Mileena MadnessSo the Fantastic Four got name-dropped by Ronan in the newspaper strip today...I hope it's leading to something.
Do we know what happened to Flash yet?
Diamond sales charts reveal that Renew Your Vows was the leading Spider-Man book in November, the only other Spider-book in the top ten was Venom.
Message sent Marvel.
Poor Gwen is about to be outspidered by Mary Jane.
Mileena Madnessas it should be
I mean sorry to say about Spider-Gwen but her stellar character design can only take her so far.
I mean what is the 616 Jane doing besides helping out Iron Man, so I could be say that Peter really is not doing so hot with any relationship...
Mileena MadnessI take it a lot of the hype for Spider-Gwen died really quickly?
Pretty much. The series has plateaued to a solid amount of sales monthly, but a lot of the initial speculator interest died out.
Hence the shilling of being in Clone Conspiracy and the new Miles Morales paring.
Clone Conspiracy is kinda of web warriors considering who's now involved lol

Mileena MadnessCrossovers I don't actually mind as much. Just as long as they don't go into Web Warriors territory lol
So do people hate her now, or are they just no longer quite as enamoured with her as they were initially.
One Strip! One Strip!A little of both, but I still like her.
Mileena MadnessI like Spider-Gwen but her series does have some problems. The pacing is really slow at times. After two years Gwen still hasn't cleared her name.
I think the biggest problem was that Marvel started the series before Secret Wars which resulted in the book getting relaunched with a new #1 in the same year as the first #1. The early stories feel like there wasn't a lot of long term planning put into them.
A lot of it was resentment over Spider-Gwen getting an ongoing instead of Mayday or Anya. And then it only intensified when Web Warriors came out and the writer, rather blatantly shilled Spider-Gwen.
I dig the character well enough though. I honestly find hatred of pretty much any character overblown. I do this weird thing called reading books I actually like, and if there's a writer or storyline I'm just not feeling, I'll just stop following it.

Yeah I think people just want more Evil Matt Murdock and less stalling, but it seems like this Miles thing will be a new arc for her series.

Mileena MadnessApparently its another cross-over event. I found the preview for Spider-Man (Miles series) #12 & that's the start of the new arc "Sitting in a Tree" with his series being part 1 so Gwen's issue of the month will most likely be part 2.
On the Brightside its apparently only gonna be 4 issues so we only have to sit with this shit for 2 months, the bad part is the fact were gonna waste 2 months & maybe more on this out of nowhere romance between a college student & a ..... how old is Miles again? Is he a middle-schooler or high-schooler?
I mean not to be rude be this honestly does sound like crap. I mean I hope its better than it sounds but still I mean, its just a fucking weird-ass crossover. I really wonder whos idea this was in the first-place.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think he's 16.
It's a shame she does'nt have that many interesting romantic pursuits in her own series, and they've had to justify the gap with Miles and a weird "long-distance" concept given the multiverse twist...I don't think Spider-Gwen's been particularly grounded, which has hurt the book a bit because for the most part it does try to be street-level.
A lot of it's readers seem to want Gwen to date her version of MJ, probably because that's the only really solid foundation she has in her own title and there's always been a slowly stirring MJ/Gwen 'shipper fanbase in comics (hell in Secret Wars A-Force, a version of Spider-Gwen and MJ were hinted as a couple even if they only appeared on one page.)
Like many, I enjoy Spider-Gwen for evil Matt and some of the supporting cast too. I really like it's version of George. Would'nt mind him punching out Clone Conpspriacy George.
Too bad Slott recently confirmed the extent of Web Warrior involvement stops with Gwen and Kaine, you'd figure them or The Jackal would want to use the New U tech to resurrect all the Spiders killed in Spider-Verse (in fact I added that to the WMG of the CC article we've got here to be on the safe side)
Personally I was hoping that the Spider-Gwen version of Harry was being set up as a love interest to Gwen, but I guess that's not gonna happen anything soon.
from this specific age group
See, that's the thinly veiled 'manchildren' comment right there. Predictable, like I said.
"My goal was to bring him back in a way that made you scream and pull your hair out,” Slott said.
I suspect by now Slott's goal is to do everything in a way that makes you scream and pull your hair out, which actually is a curious marketing strategy that only seems to work for comics, and mostly because I suspect a healthy dose of masochism, if such a thing exists, is necessary to follow most mainstream comics work nowadays.
