This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Well, the show is definitely worthy of that honor. Weird episode to pick, though.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I believe the featured articles are chosen based on the quality of the article itself, rather than the subject.
MJ's remark that Peter can sometimes be as dense as his webbing yesterday in the papers was funny.
And, oh boy, Spidey and press conferences again today.

The best part of that whole scene was Anna Maria bursting out laughing. "Amasscot."

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. We can cross off Mysterio as one of the suspects for "the man in red" following Spidey/Deadpool#2.
That's what he WANTS you to think.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)So this was something another person mentioned in regards to Felicia's current heel status and I wanted to get others' opinions on it
I saw that over on CBR and I think it's a reasonable assertion. It did make sense why Sable, out of the blue, suddenly had an attraction to Spider-Man.
I think the Heel turn for Felicia was still a spur of the moment thing though, more of a "I can do this with her instead then."
Wasn't there rumors that Slott decided to do the opposite thing that DC did with their Cat(Catwoman was a good mob boss who still supported the Batfamily and even had one of the girls as a apprentice for a time while dealing with her family)?
Didn't know about that. With Selina what's helped is that her becoming a crime boss was very much her own story whereas with Felicia it was just to give Peter more stuff to deal with from Superior.
I do wonder how Silver's heel turn, if that was what they were planning, would have worked out> Much as I hate what Felicia's become now, I don't think crime boss would have fit the character well. Though she was Silvermane's daughter and successor in the Spectacular Spider-Man show. And even the Word of God says she would have become a hero eventually.
I'm not sure Sable's attraction to Spider-Man was that out of the blue. There was a What If where they ended up married. So I think there was always a little bit of an attraction there.
And I don't think Slott was going to have Sable turn evil. It makes no more sense for her than for Felicia.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. If I recall, that What If only had them getting married after the deaths of Foreigner and Black Cat, their respective lovers, had them depressed.
Even then, that's the only story in which they've expressed any kind of attraction to each other.
Even Newspaperland Jonah's had it up to here with Namor...even turning down photos of Peter's battle

So checking out the May Solicits for Web Warriors apparently there's going to be a casualty in this current story arc and Billy is not on May's cover.
I guess on the brighter side, those worried about Anya can finally be at eased.
I'd actually been thinking Billy might sacrifice himself to save the others. The first issue had Noir talk about Billy spending most of his time alone, making it clear he had survivor's guilt and a ton of angst. The second issue had him taking a hit for Anya. So he's got some real issues. His arc could really only go two ways: Getting over his survivor's guilt, or jumping further into it and giving his life to save someone else. I had initially suspected it would be the former, but I was starting to wonder if it might be the latter.
I was never really worried that Anya would die; it would run counter to Billy's own logical character arc. When a character has some serious survivor's guilt, you don't kill someone else close to them. Especially in a book like Web Warriors, which is a fairly traditional superhero comic.
No, my concern was that Anya would just not matter in the book. If Billy dies, then hopefully, that means Anya steps up as a leader, which would give her a more prominent role in the book. It would also give her more interactions with the rest of the team; so far, she hasn't really been seen talking to anyone other than Karn (and Billy, via the radio), which gives her an outsider role that she shouldn't have.
Actually, I wish we'd get some interactions between Anya and Pavitr. I just feel like those two would get along really well.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Well it says "causalities" so I'm a bit worried Mayday or Spider-Ben might not make it...I think they'll want to kill off someone from MC 2 just to make you worry about the rest of 'em, and given Marvel gave the marriage the boot in it's 20th year, they could do the same to Mayday in her 20th (yeah, I know publishing wise her 20th is 2018, but the character was born/"miscarried"/abducted at the end of 1996)
Over in newspaperland, Peter took a photo of Bellman, but doesn't want to share it with Jonah as it would mean bringing up her family's connection to Namor and he wants to spare her the harassment from the press. Once again Peter displays his great sense of responsibility

Mayday is a definite possibility, as well. She's been a major character in this arc, as the friend who's two days away from retiring. I don't think she'll die, but I can't really elucidate a reason why.
She and Billy are definitely the two at greatest risk, both because they're not on the cover for #6, and from a narrative standpoint.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I shall commence preparations to flip my shit if Mayday dies
Forever liveblogging the AvengersASM#8: Nice of you to give your would-be assailant another chance Pete. At least Cloak and Dagger turned face again
So Web Warriors#4 ended with a special notice for fans asking who they want to see more of in the concluding chapter of Electroverse, and also said that not every Spider will make it back. I'm definitely worried about Mayday now

Nice compliment Peter gave his wife in the papers today, she certainly knows how to command attention.
So I guess Felicia fans should be grateful she did not have to die. I would rather her remain a heel crime lord than dead.
Mileena MadnessI was salivating at the idea of Felicia working with Venom and Peter in the original plans for Ends of the Earth at the time..two people she's had a strong romantic connection with. I've since wound up placing a version of that story into some headcanon take on MC 2 which explains how Felicia wound up reconnecting and ultimately marrying Flash.

In the dailies, Peter's even acknowledging how useless he was in this storyline, crediting Bellman and MJ with all the hard work while he spat out water. MJ, being ever supportful, points out Peter did his best to stop Namor advancing on the city long enough for any of that to be possible, so he achieved some good. Nice of the strip's writers to comment a bit on the criticisms of the story (they did the same thing with answering where the Avengers were)
I only now noticed that an episode of Spectacular is the current featured article on Wikipedia.
