What, we can't single wield? Shit, I rocked a single in Jedi Academy.
You can double wield or double-blade. You can stick to single blade, too.
Jonah FalconSo, anyone want to guild up? :)
Jonah FalconNah, I prefer to freelance.
We need a free lancer guild.
Light of the Empire Guild established.
Finished, even made a stickied FAQ post. Ultra-cool.
Public forum for Light of the Empire here.

Jonah FalconThat sounds... sorta contradictory.

Not really. Thieves guilds are one example.
Jonah FalconI'm thinking of playing as a (relativly) good guy imperial agent and/or inquisitor.
That and perhaps a complete bastard of a smuggler, I'm going to be like mirror universe Han Solo.
Well, my Guild is for Light Side Empire guys.
A guild for free-lancers would sort of be like a tavern, where solo guys commiserate, chat, compare notes, go on their own way...
Jonah FalconI'm pretty grey.
That could basically be organized crime, though, with the term guild being used for them just because the setting has no comparable word for it (no Mafia!).
But aren't guilds supposed to be more 'official' and structured, where that sounds like just being a sort of club?
Eh, I'm just a person who's likes semantics, never mind.
Bad. Ass.
So.... any particular reason why the lightsabers are so obscenely THIN when compared to their hilts? Last I checked they were supposed to be as thick as the hilt emitter, which is negligibly thinner than the thickest part of the hilt. Here it looks like someone swapped lightsabers for System Shock's laser rapiers instead.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Untrue. The saber blades are really thin - if you watch the films.
The light emanation makes them seem thicker.
Jonah FalconI know that. The problem is that what they are and how they LOOK are vastly different things, and they LOOK all wrong-like. Oh well.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Looks kinda meh, and the idea that they're basically ignoring the Kotor lore is a little annoying too- so I guess with the return of the true sith, Revan and the Exile must've died trying to fight them in the outer rim? Boo

It looks awesome.
Revan could be the emperor for all you know
Oh. My. God. A Bioware MMO. This is the best idea since sliced bread. Is there a finalized release date yet?
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Somewhen this year is all they're saying.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Eeeeh... The graphics are below average, but that is not much of a flaw. In MMORPG, graphics don't have to make me sit on my ass in awe (though it is a plus), they only have to look good enough, and so far, they do look good enough. But the animation is terribad - my Willing Suspension of Disbelief was shattered during the first ten seconds. That is NOT how Jedi should move. Ever. Is this a finished built of the engine, or is there a possibility for some improvements?
Overall, the trailer actually worsened my opinion of the game. Not good.

Has a compulsive editing and re-editing disorder.I'm dreading the release of Kot OR, since it's likely going to be the end of Bio Ware. The game's not nearly innovative enough to take down the much more established World Of Warcraft, and EA's expectation is nothing less. Combine that with the incredible price tag of the games development, and it's safe to say if this game fails, Bio Ware will go the way of Westwood. Even if they don't get outright shut down, they won't be able to get any significant funding or decent development windows, EA tends to go all out milking game companies once they show signs of weakness.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Jedi Knights and Sith Warriors can dual wield.
Jedi Counsulars can wield double bladed sabers.
