What do you mean by "work"
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Uh... what?
As for the other stuff... Conservative Democrats work, I've seen a few of them. If you have land squids, then it's up to you whether they're civilized.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Work as in actually be believable/feasible.
Cars as pets.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Well, my works take place in our universe, though in a separate galaxy.
♥♥II'GSJQGDvhhMKOmXunSrogZliLHGKVMhGVmNhBzGUPiXLYki'GRQhBITqQrrOIJKNWiXKO♥♥You are aware of the gigantic energies involved in planetary collisions, yes?
Da Rules excuse all the inaccuracy in the world. Listen to them, not me.Cars as... pets?
What.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."If going by laws of physics:
A planet that has such a rapid rotation that it has flattened out and as such acts as a giant planetary saw blade capable of slicing other planets in half. - no, would be destroyed in the first collision
A star that seemingly has half its surface missing. - maybe, could be an unfinished dyson sphere or matrioshka brain if only seen from a distance
Domesticated cars. - maybe, cars with rudimentary intelligence based on animal brains, but why?
Creatures 1 foot tall and 20 miles wide. - yes, some kind of massive polyp-like organism that can move slowly and behaves somewhat like a school of fish but is connected to its parts enough to be considered a single creature
Civilized land squids. - yes, just give them enough structural integrity to be able to move on land, may need to be engineered because a land squid seems extremely unlikely to evolve on its own
Gatling cannons, and by cannons I'm talking the old ship and sail type of cannons. And by gatling I'm thinking 10 rounds a second. - no, reloading would be impossible while staying true to the cannon type. A Mitrailleuse could work instead and keep the aesthetic while giving even more dakka in short bursts. Maybe even a simple version of Metalstorm style projectile packing to allow longer dakka time per reload
Cannons with a 12" bore. - yes
Cannons with a 36" bore. - maybe, if it needs something that massive why not use a missile instead? Those can be moved around to avoid incoming fire much easier than such a BFG. If you find a good reason why a cannon is better than missiles there is nothing that makes this impossible, only challenging.
Reflective armor capable of fending off laser swords. -yes for armor, laser swords seem impractical compared to alternatives (a high-power proximity-activated laser used for slicing or stabbing could work but why not make a long-range laser gun instead?)(note that the reflected beam from the sword would cause a lot of collateral damage in very long ranges)
Conservative Democrats. - yes
If going by the rule of cool:
