It's not bad, but IMO not ideal, as The Sims "baseline" isn't as well-established as a lot of other properties, and IIRC has always had a fair amount of wackiness built in.
Jet-a-Reeno!bump.
Yeah not a big fan of the lion king image, it's a good idea, but...I don't know, I'm not hating it, but I'm not loving it.
I'm just...meh
Bump...any other thoughts? Going back through this thread, I like the Rocket Robin Hood pic.
Rocket Robin Hood really seems ideal. Robin is just so widely known that pretty much anyone should get the point. I really don't think I'm suffering from Fan Myopia when I say that. :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Bump.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things. It is so too totally indicative. All you need to know is that it is a generic rock band who happens to be in space for no good reason, which is pretty much what the trope is. Take a concept, move it somewhere else and hope people don't notice nothing really meaningful changed.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackBut how do you know they're out of place? The idea of a rock band in space isn't inherently absurd, and indeed, would be expected if rock and roll is still around by the time Earth becomes a spacefaring civilization.
Jet-a-Reeno!Besides, that is not a show premise being redone. That's just an odd setting.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. That's all covered by one word.
If you have a picture you like, you're free to put it on imagelinks but there is nothing misleading about the current one.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackNo, the trope is that "on this similar show, they were in another place, but in this show, they're in space". So you not getting that just makes me wonder if you read the description.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. This is what you put.
That is what is on the picture. Even if you know nothing about the picture, it is clearly labeled but they're in space, suggesting that the space background is what is making what they are doing now different from what they did before.

Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThat's NOT what the trope is. The trope is that it's redoing another show, but changing the form or setting. That means you are supporting a bad picture and bad definition.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. From the page.
I have no idea why this in space pages causes so much of this. It's a broad trope, so what? The picture works.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackYou're still missing the "has to be a previous work in another setting" requirement of the trope. Where is the "in somewhere other than space" show that the picture has?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. The "but"?
Whatever, its just us two-three arguing now. If popular consensus proves against me I'll give, but I'm putting the old image on image links. Personally I feel it's fine and the newer pictures should be on image links.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack"The "but"?"
What is the "but"? If you mean that show, it NOT how it applies to this trope. It FIRST needs previous Limozeen show not in space, or a similar show that's not in space.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. But, let me ask you, does that not at all come off as insulting to our user base.
"Band, but in space", Tropers are too dumb figure out that if they are in space now then they weren't in space before? Lets apply this to the Lion King Pictures. I think they are good but viewers are morons, they'll think one of the Lions is named Hamlet, or Romeo, or Juliet, maybe we should have have a collage of lions and human actors just to make it more clear because our viewers can't don't know subtle.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThis isn't that the characters are in space now, but that there was a previous show that wasn't in space before.
How hard is that to get? That example doesn't fit the trope because it's not a sequel or ripoff of a show about a band that wasn't in space.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. This trope isn't just "A show is in space". It's "A show or movie or something is remade later with some sort of random cosmetic change, such as being moved to space". Case in point, the picture needs to show both the original work, as well as the remake that is now in space. It has to have both parts or it isn't this trope.
