Not really an example. Not a straigh example anyway.
How about a collage of two of the following:
I'd point out all your suggestions include series that were sequels to one another. Which the trope explicitly says are not this.
Well in that case, remove power rangers as a whole as a listed example. I was just looking up examples, and I wasn't replying to you, nor was I trying to be rude to the person I was replying to. My fault I didn't state who I was talking to. But still, it could just be that tone is lost on the internet-and its hard to tell when people are being snippy or just trying to help, but the way I read your comment rubbed me the wrong way.
Besides, I was going by the whole when X Meets Y, aspect description of the trope. Like When Power Rangers meets....whatever the heck they come up with. Again, it's listed as an example...and was one of the first things that came to mind because they did this...a lot.

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.Well, I said semi example. You could make an argument that Everything post Zordon era is an example (it's technically a sequel, but beside the odd crossover between teams, and the occasional mention, all the seasons are stand alone). Everything from Mighty Morphin to Lost Galaxy is a traditional sequel (mostly). Things pick up from where they left last season.

I'd have to say everything from Lost Galaxy and ON actually is a different series, because the Rangers weren't connected to the previous teams....minus that time Pink Ranger died-because Lost Galaxy and on, they tried to make these stand alone, but then....changed their mind.

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.Lost Galaxy has the Megaship, Alpha, and Bulk (the later for 3 episodes), and the former In Space Big Bad as pink ranger, so it's still a sequel IMHO.
Anyway. my point is, there has to be clearer examples, which is why I suggested Josie and the Pussycats (in outer space!) as an example. Heck, Hanna Barbera had a ton of shows like this. like, seriously, 50% of what they produced is this.
Super Sentai is a completely straight example of this, but those logos won't help us, being in Japanse and all.
I still see nothing wrong with power rangers since they are a HUGE REPEATING offender of this trope.
And I think it'd be kinda funny to show off something, done kinda like the collage images I found. Where something has abused the power this trope to hell and back. XD

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.Found a another idea: Speed Buggy and Scooby Doo. Three of the former's characters◊ LOOK like Daphne, Shaggy and Fred. Put the two with a caption of "Take out Velma, make Scooby a car, and we got a new show"

I actually thought that the entry for Power Rangers was completely biased. Power Rangers In Space isn't the only Power Rangers that tried to be different, especially if you consider that the archetypes of a Power Rangers show is still found in that season.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.*snerk* Nice Star Wars parody there...those would be alright by me.
Yeah its the real thing in Tenchi Universe...◊
Although now that I think about it Tenchi In Tokyo is the sequel series to Universe and GXP is the one after that.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Yes but that doesn't change that all the Power Rangers images posted have direct sequels present, and direct sequels are not this. It's literally mentioned in the description. Put an image of a post Zordon show, like RPM, and then you have something.
That is technically more of an adaptation, but certainly closer.
Agreed.
I still like Rocket Robin Hood the best out of all these.
Jet-a-Reeno!Me too, there is no need for two pictures, one is enough.
I thought Power Rangers were in space the whole time. Aren't those, like, spacesuits?
Rhymes with "Protracted."
