[up]Yeah, i just heard. Luckily i had my old e-mail on there. What are we supposed to do though? I never gave any info out, so i think i'm fine.

[up]I use one of my current emails for it. Not my important one, but still one I use. I don't think they should be able to hack into that since I don't use the same password, but I don't know this is the first time I've ever encountered something like this.

[up] I didn't think the site could get hacked....though i know the idiots called themselves terrorists.

I liked this episode. One of the better episodes and it had genuinely good passing this time. I don't understand how she was flirting with him. She was just being nice.

Okay, I liked this one, it was better than I thought. Got to learn more about Panthro, introduced a new female character, and Lion-O got to do something kind of noble. That raccoon guy was alright too.

Pumyra seemed to let go of her hatred of Lion-O a little too suddenly. It wasn't that bad, but I would have liked it to have been a little more gradual as the fight went on. And I didn't like how Tookit and the kittens basically ended up hurting a bunch of innocent people. Also, I feel that more time could have been taken to show Pumyra's flashbacks instead of Panthro's over the B plot with the Kittens. Anyone else think Mount Plundarr's shape looks like the old Mutant castle Plundarr in the original?

Tygra's still kind of a racist :/

Pumyra's bow functions more like a sling shot, so combined with the bolo it's similar to Pumyra's OS designb. Oh, and I was pleased to see Pumyra still has some medical skills, so yay.

[up]Still? Seriously? And i bet people will still defend him by using what happened in the Pilot as an excuse. :/

[up]He doesn't actually do anything racist, just mentions why he doesn't like dogs a few times. And he has had to deal with one big orange psychotic one as of late. The other cats do defend the dogs though, so it's just him. And while I don't approve, it is consistent with Tygra's character. I hope he overcomes it by the end of the season.

Something else that bothered me this episode; Pumyra can apparently fire her pellets as fast as a machine gun, but only when she's not actually on screen.

but I'm watching episodes from the original series as I'm watching these and compared to the bad writing of that show this one seems like a masterpiece.

The original show makes for a VERY low measuring stick for writing quality.

Honestly, the show's not bad, it's just average, in both action and writing. That's it's worst crime: Being average. It's not great, it's not bad enough to get angry at... it's just average (though generally very well animated).

If whoever directed the fight scenes learned to give a damn, the show could at least have good action, but the fight scenes are bogged down by sloppy editing where characters teleport, vanish, or just plain don't do anything. Which is a big shame when one considers the splendid animation quality.

On related note, Double Update on the Liveblog.

Something else that bothered me this episode; Pumyra can apparently fire her pellets as fast as a machine gun, but only when she's not actually on screen.

Like how Cheetara has super speed... unless she's fighting someone with a name.

Of note, Mumm-Ra's sword back in Legacy was named after Plun-darr. It seems to follow the mountain would be named after the sword. What meaning could this have?

[up]Those last two reviews of yours made me laugh the hardest.

I think that the mountain being named Plundarr will have as much meaning as the tower named Omens. There's definitely supposed to be a connection to Mumm-Ra and the Spirits of Evil, it's just uncler what. Plundarr was just the Mutant's planet in the old show; here it could mean anything.

[up]It's going to air again in about 45 minutes. So, 9:30 am eastern on Saturdays and Sundays.

I strongly believe that Tookit was created by the same guy who created the Drifter, Dan Norton the art director. Both are based on somewhat harmless animals, have strange powers, seem a bit middle aged and have slight accents. Both are going for a "whimsical" sort of angle. And you know what, I wouldn't be surprised if Tookit became an Ensemble Dark Horse too. I think it has to do with them both being "furrier" than most of the other characters. Ghilz, I don't blame you for hating him.

I've been thinking of something ever since the end of Survival of the Fittest.

—>Tygra: Hey, we're back from scouting.
—>Lion-O: And look, we got some cute dinner on the way here! (they throw the corpses of the birdalopes on the table)
—>Wilykit & Wilykat: Aaaaah!
—>Tygra: We even got two little ones for the kittens to eat.
—>Wilykit and Wilykat: Aaaaahhh!!!
—>Lion-O: What's wrong with them?

[up] considering he pretty much straights up murders a dude who wanted his button back and trips a dude who got his cane stolen, it's hard for me to let that slide coz he's "whimsical".

If Tookit becomes an Ensemble Dark Horse, it just will make me sad. Dobo deserves it more, as he's the most complex and interesting character the show's given us so far. He's clearly pretty villainous (Slaver and all that), but his relationship with Panthro, willingness to give Lion-O a break and returning the sword of omens and gauntlet despite the perceived betrayal makes him far more complex than pretty much anyone else on the show.

The most annoying part to realize is that he wouldn't have "needed" the cane and button if he didn't have them stolen in the first place.

But yeah, Dobo was pretty awesome. It really surprised me when he handed the Sword of Omens and its shield over to Panther-O, and opposed to just hoarding it somewhere or trying to use it himself. Also a nice touch with the crowd demanding Lion-O and Pumayra be set free. Kind of sudden, but nicely avoids the problem of it making all dogs seem overtly bloodthirsty.

I don't get why Tygra's racist against dogs now, we were shown how he's racist against the Lizards....? Maybe he considers them "lesser" like he did Lion-o for almost 2 decades?

[up]What kind of reason is that? I call BS. Also, he was supposed to learn humility two episodes ago, and stuff, but now he's back to being a racist. I don't remember if Cheetara called him out on his racism or not, since i only got to watch twice (once while i had a migraine). If she didn't (like how she was fine with the Lizard thing in NA) does that make her racist too, or just a girl who can't say anything to her boyfriend without him getting pissy and breaking up with him?

Also, Kaynar isn't a dog, depending on what species he is....i think someone said that's why he's racist, but i don't recall Jackals being related to dogs at all. :/ And he acts more like a hyena to me.

[up]I said that, and I think in this show all canines are lumped under the "dog" category. Jackals seem to be a specific type of dog, and even though Dobo is based on a Doberman, I think he qualifies as a jackal like Kaynar and Shen; all three share the same basic body stature, including being very tall, lean, having somewhat long necks and pointy ears. Jackals are indeed not not the same as dogs in real life, but these characters do not have real life biology, and the terminology used isn't literal, at least not when applied to real life. But my point stands, Tygra doesn't like Kaynar, and it may influence his opinion on dogs/jackals/canines.

I'm willing to tolerate Tygra's racism, because he may gripe about it, but he hasn't yet done anything malicious to any dogs, and at least it's within his character considering his upbringing. I think it's deliberate on the writer's part, and I'm sure he'll come around by the end of the season thanks to Lion-O. I do agree that Cheetara should speak up more.

[up]I think there is a certain species of Jackal that aren't considered related.

I can't tolerate it myself, no matter if he's harmed them or not. Given how 11 million or so people were murdered, enslaved and gassed to death because of such things. Just because you don't physically harm someone doesn't make you being a racist any better. The thing with the dogs? how was that in his upbringing? because they're a "lesser" species? The only reason he let the kittens stay was because they are still cats then? Tails nonwithstanding.

I don't mind Tygra's racism, coz it gives a genuine reason why he shouldn't be the prophetized king: He wouldn't try to unite all species against Mumm-Ra. Lion-O, on the other hand, would.

Tygra's not bad, he's just been raised to look down on non-cats. Claudus didn't strike me as mr. Tolerance either.

[up]Raised that way...well, he's an adult now, and he can make up his mind about not being a racist. He's not a baby who doesn't know any better. Why are you guys defending a racist? Just because he hasn't hurt anyone doesn't make it ok at all!
