Ok I admit, reading back to it, the OMG part did go out of hand. I of course can't deny it's funny, but wrong, but that doesn't mean it's not funny, but wrong is wrong.

Well Dae and everyone else reading this, how about we look at it this way? Sand might have picked out OMG out of luck as bad as mine because he's used to that word or something. It doesn't actually prove any generalization right?

Does that help? I hope I'm helping ^^.

The OMG is understandable, he probably didn't think of the connotations.

I don't know what you mean by "Sand offended Dea without knowing it, and she responded in kind." though. I responded in kind? I responded by also unintentionally offending Sand? =/

Anyway, I know Sand didn't mean to offend, I know he thought he was asking a reasonable question and I know that society has taught him and plenty of others that girls are something seprate and alien from the rest of humanity—that's why I made this thread. Because he's wrong. A lot of people are wrong, and it's gotten to the point that nobody even seems to care anymore. Besides, I tried to point it out within the thread, and so did AHR, but both our posts were pretty much ignored in favor of people expounding on the complex emotional needs of the human vagina.

(V No, they don't. Exactly. Vaginas don't have emotions or feelings or nearly as much bearing over my interests as such broad generalizations imply that they would.)

Well a man thinks with his penis, so why not?

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.

I suppose it can get *grating* when you notice the writers blatantly trying to pander to a gender (like men or women) — pandering to the image associated with said gender, to be specific. Men like explosions, women like pink, etc. Perhaps Dae means, it does not work that way.

I suppose I can attest to that. I recall Computer Science introductory courses, they make you work with this thing called Alice. You see Alice up there in the corner? See the screenshots? Wait, it gets better — you drag and drop commands to make cutsy animals/planes/etc. do stuff. (Instead of some real programming, like Java, C#, C++.. oh never mind I'm getting indulgent here.) This is one such attempt for gender because it seems, Com Sci needs more girls in the market. I remember there were around four girls in of a class of 29 guys. Jajaja.

Anyways, the principle can go for stories too. If you try too hard pandering to some target audience (girls, guys, Mexicanos, 8-year old boys), your story will catch pneumonia and AIDS. You might be cutting out opportunities to make the story itself better, and you will push away the others who could have been your readers.

This thread has no topic beyond "I was ticked off at another topic when I made it." You've had your fun, so I'm locking it.
