Considering it's kinda nice when I can play as someone with my own equipment, yes.
Depends on the game. Normally I choose a male character but I chose the female for Pokémon Sapphire because I liked her design.
Yes, I always (or at least mostly) play female characters. I'm not sure why, actually.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I always go male.
Depends. If the character is an AFGNCAAP and there's a love interest/love story involved (like in Bioware gmaes), I usually choose a male, as the inverse doesn't appeal to me, specifically.
If the female option has a nice design, I'll often go with her instead of the gender-appropriate character. There's the obvious thing about female characters generally being nice to look at if you already have to stare at this character the whole time, yadda yadda. But then, I also don't feel strongly about being male and projecting into a female can be a nice change of pace. I like changes of pace. Even if it's just a color swap, I'll often prefer it over the original if I've gotten bored with it.
PS: The way the original post is written kinda excludes female gamers, doesn't it?
Pshaw. We all know that Gamer Chicks are urban myths.
@Fawriel: In my case there's no appeal to it other than I really like the Action Girl trope.
:)Nope. I prefer to play as a male, because I'm male.
I also have trouble playing against my alignment.
I have a message from another time...I do this too. Don't know why.
I can't stop listening to this
Likes playing as female characters in any game that lets you select the character or customize him(or her in this case)? It's rare for me to play as a male character in these games.
:)
