So at the moment, the easiest way to go forward with my Ambition is to have a friend with either Persuasive or Shadowy over 70 help me out.

Do any tropers who have that want to be my friend?

the key of dreams thing was there after I saw this. I was saving up to pay 40,000 Drop of Prisoner's Honey to get better logings(4 card hand!) From what I read here it sounds like the key of dreams is on the smaller lodgings too. It might be a way to make it so "they will not be playable", or it is a new requrment. I have seen a theory that alpha testers get one but as I said it is only a theory.

Right now I've done pretty much...everything. I've got Audrey II growing in my apartment above a bookstore and I'm engaged in a protracted war against the Big Rat, but other than the odd Opportunity, I've hit the content caps, maxed out all my stats except Watchful (which is still pretty close to maxed), played The Game of Knife and Candle off and on until it closed, and armed myself with some killer equips. I'm seriously thinking of buying some Fate to open up the optional storylines; certainly I'd like to see what my Inconvenient Aunt's business proposal is (the rejection option is hilarious, though: "The house at this address has burnt down and is home only to weasels...").

"Playing with broken toys?" Doesn't ring any bells. I have, however, completed the Shuttered Palace story (I picked the "shaggy dog love story" as my Creator Killer ^_^;), Uncovered Secrets Framed in Gold (I trusted the Repentant Forger at the end) and identified the murderer at the University (at the cost of any hope of establishing a Department of the Correspondence). Oh, and I've explored the Labyrinth of Tigers to the fullest thus far (the Fourth Coil and onward is locked at present).

My Ambition is Nemesis, BTW.

Just started a couple days ago and am enjoying myself thoroughly. My ambition's Bag a Legend! apparently. I'm all for smacking the crap out of things as a person of indeterminate gender so it seemed like a good idea.

Sorry for the necro, but I need to get into the Palace for the Nemesis ambition, does anyone know a good way to grind Greyfields 1882?

I got bored of this game. I can't explain it, but the plot just didn't grab me as much as it did other people.
