How could we not?
Hey, I remember the line from the manual.
Nous restons ici.The hype... the hype...
UUUUUUUUUGH even if I don't have a PC I can't WAAAAAAAIIIT!
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.SALIVATE
I'm kinda sad they didn't make it so that the battle BGM is dependent on the era of the race you're playing at; that is, HW1 races get HW1 battle music instead of everyone always getting HW2 battle music.
Just a reminder, this comes out tomorrow, and the Steam Pre-load option is now available.
Not Three Laws compliant. If you have the Remaster on Steam, you can preload starting now.
Imperial response received. In the name of His Excellency Riesstiu IV the Second, CVBG 52 of the Wasteland Frontier Fleet is directed to equip Atmospheric Deprivation Weapons and execute immediate extermination of quarantine population.
Estimated time to operation commencement: 16 hours.

Nous restons ici.Is that on the game's Steam page?
Also I'm guessing CVBG 52 is "Something something Battle Group 52".

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Preload: Commencing. Playing game on release day: Unavailable. Reason: World Of Warcraft raid. Mood: Disappointment.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Unacceptable. Respinning sequences to give Homeworld priority over World of Warcraft.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Error: Attempted program incompatible with World Of Warcraft 6.1 patch release.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"World Of Warcraft taking priority over Homeworld not efficient. Sequences must be respun, mental functions adjusted.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw."Also I'm guessing CVBG 52 is "Something something Battle Group 52"."
"CV" is the naval nomenclature for aircraft carriers, so in this case it'll be "Carrier Battle Group 52".
And as someone who has never played the original Homeworld due to financial reasons but has always wanted to, being able to play it now is making me giddy.
Correct. The Other Wiki uses that acronym too.
Time to get on the steam machine.
Never got my original discs working on my current rig, so this will be WONDROUS.
Also, the HW 2 UI in HW 1... actually works for me. And I like what they're trying with MP. Now, I never really played MP much except one LAN game that went... weird.
Due to ow HW 1 calculated damage, my friend and I had a game where in his game a shot went wide, then in mine it DIDN'T (Skipped bit of data)
As such in my game, a frigate was destroyed. In his, the frigate survived and limped out of the fight. The Computer promptly disconnected both of us, but KEPT PLAYING with AI as rivals... without either of us realising.
Cut to 15 minutes later as we both go "YES! You are defeated!" followed by some confused back and forth and screen sharing.
Ah, memories.
FYI, Scott Manley is already running an LP of Remastered. He just finished the third mission two hours ago.
Unit Lost is also doing an LP of it, they got done with the second mission.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Twitch has a few streams up. There seem to be some UI glitches. The top streamer by viewers is quite sarcastic. The tutorial is apparently rife with Department of Redundancy Department.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Did I see it right that you can use strike groups with HW1 ships? I don't mean control groups but the multi-unit formations HW2 had (Fighter Screen, Frigate Wall, Capital Phalanx).
It would appear so, yes.
Edit: Did they dump Salvage Corvettes in favor of Marine Frigates in both HW1 and HW2 campaigns? That's an "aww".

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I played the first couple levels of Homeworld 1 and it still has Salvage Corvettes. I got a couple Missile Corvettes out of it and they didn't show up on the unit limit counter thing.

Not Three Laws compliant.Yeah, salvage corvettes seem to be able to nab strikecraft without assistance from a gravity well generator now.
That's interesting, but I'm curious why one would be that concerned about stealing enemy strike craft. Doesn't seem worth the effort.

I unfortunately haven't read the booklet that came with the game, so unfortunately I had to Google it XD
