... and Sandra is forgetting her priorities.

(a) Routine horror of school life. Not much to be done about it, really. If Ruby is really, really lucky, five years from now, she might find that she's two steps up on the management ladder over one of them, wherever she's working. But that would be putting temptation in Ruby's way, and she's a better person than that.

(b) Sandra; also not a bad person, but, well, a bit of a ditz.

Her top still looks like a censor bar.

We can't complain about that, now can we?

New Ma3. I guess the obvious question here, for the readers and a character, is "How long has this been going on?"

New SDB. And cut, to a question answered.

And new Ma3. In which we learn that Sonya is smarter than Yuki and has more formidable boobs than DiDi.

... Wow. That is... Uh, words fail me.

You know, I long since forgot who the characters in SDB were besides Ruby and her two roommates.

It really could do with updating more than twice a week. I think it's about nine months since these two last appeared.

Given that the jump is from Ruby and Zii to Jerzy and Angel, one also finds the comic title downright misleading. "Ruby in the Smoke" would make more sense. Okay, everyone is defined by their relationship to Dillon, but the plot is still least interesting when Dillon is on set.

Oh yeah, and there's a new Sandra... strip, too. More plot stuff and vanity.

Me hopes that this backfires horribly on Siri, and ends up with Sandra and Lavali not having anything truly bad happen to them.

Oh, this is a pretty lightweight comic, and Sandra has the protection granted by fate to fools and children. And Eva* doesn't come across as a really effectual villain. They'll live.

Sandra may experience some more Zoé sarcasm before the next day is out, though.

*Not "Siri". Bloomin' geek/pop culture jokes...

New SDB. Standard Ma3 universe mental issues and 1976 Serge Gainsbourg movie references.

New Ma3. Gary is apparently good at his new job, but is reminded that he's useless at other skills that he wants.

Also, One-Steve Limit violation. (The comic now has two Jims.)

Mildly embarrassed Gary, I'd say. It's not like he's short of female company these days, and Tracy isn't even the one who he's been showing signs of really crushing on lately.

This is a reminder that he's short of basic flirtation/flattery skills, which he needs to sort out, but that's a general problem for him.

Um...no? Jim is short for James.

Actually, "Jim" is a diminutive form of "James", so not necessarily a retcon.

And I see Yvan still has that black eye.

The strip where "James" was addressed as "Jim" was originally tagged with "Jim". That tag has now changed to "James", to match how he's now being addressed. The retcon is in the tags, not in the strips.
