I'm banking on drop rates personally...

Considering like 80% of the weapons I've ever gotten from IB were already from drops, I'm confident drop rates will be solid.

I'm not looking forward to it given how my Random Number Jesus hates me.

I'm just hoping the mark prices are low.

Since my internal clock is fucked to all hell I'm actually awake when Xur showed up this morning. He's hanging out by the Speaker.

He's got a year two helmet engram and his a heavy legacy engram.

He's also got The Immolation Fists, Heart of Praxic Fire, and the Celestial Nighthawk.

All great armor pieces this week.

That perk is amazing, but they look like ass.

I like that Xur keeps bringing exotics for the new classes, but I want a weapon.

Heart of Praxic Fire plays with shaders.

Dunno about Nighthawk and Immolation Fists though.

Will have to see if I can use any of that. Already got two sets of exotic arms, so my armour seems sorted...

I've never done Trials of Osiris - is it just a scaling series of Crucible matches with stacking rewards? Iron Banner... well it'll be interesting with the new Light system.

With the new weapons, i'm finding myself drifting away from Hand cannons and more to assault rifles and scout rifles; not as much sniper use either, especially if I use a scout. Haven't found ANY decent shotguns at all yet though.

The shotgun the Vanguard gives you for doing their strike quests is just the best one in the game. Almost.

I lucked out and got one that was exactly the same except it's perk traded stability for range instead of reload time.

Trials is basically elimination but for keeps.

And the Immolation Fists are great for Hammerbros because it lets you have both homing hammers and explosions.

Oh and assault rifles are life. This is known.

Well, I do enjoy laying down a joyous amount of liberal covering fire. Snapshots are nice for that one shot one kill feeling, but not enough mass of lead down range when you're hemmed in.

yeah deffo need to finish the strike quests. Only on the 2nd phase of that so far.

I am loving the sheer amount of content so far.

In terms of your exotic loadout etc, do you chop and change as required, tailoring to raids, or do you just stick with the one set?

You equip for the situation in raids. Don't be like Garcon and try to use a shotgun to try and kill an ogre when you have to stand on a platform 50 feet away from it.

I mean people equip for Crucible maps as well. Some maps favor some weapon types over others.

Yeah, it's cos I'm being cautious about just "junking" everything. Crucible I tend to favour hand cannons and fusion rifles, PVE I lean more to scout / fusion (Shotgun) or auto / sniper. hand cannon now and then, but so much reloading as they aren't brill if you're swarmed and can't make good prevision shots.

Not quite sure what to make of the sidearms.

Some of my gear is a bit more PVP aligned it would seem. So far I've got a good collection, but need to expand with more Y2 exotics, just to give some more versatility.

For the raids, i'd assume that first part of Crota in the dark is closer combat, with the final bits more ranged as you try to avoid the melee attacks of the boss? VOG seems... more puzzly so I'd imagine it's damage dealing to stop the insta kills?

I only brought a shotgun because all my other special weapons were a good 50 pointsw weaker.

But rest assured, my arsenal has expanded since then and the last thing I'm missing is a good fusion rifle.

Raid loadouts:

Vault of Glass:

Door: more or less anything goes.

Confluxes: anything but sniper rifles. Close to medium range.

Oracles, Templar, Gatekeeper, Atheon: Medium to long range. Sniper rifles and anything except hand cannons. Super Good Advice has a cute interaction with Oracles.

Crota's End:

Abyss: Fatebringer or anything with high impact and Firefly. Close range. Large magazines and/or rapid reload speed.

Bridge: Medium to long range. Anything goes except a shotgun.

Ir Yut: Medium to long range. Snipers then switch to shotguns. Rockets.

Crota: Scout and pulse rifles. Snipers. Rockets.

King's Fall:

Sniper rifles and machine guns. Primary is anything goes. Prefer scout or pulse rifles.

Its... kinda lack luster IMHO.

What it's bit? I haven't gotten it yet.

I'm still trying for my AK.

7 rounds, but landing body shots then headshots gives ammo back.

The only good centre perk is extended mag anyway, which bumps you up to a more usable 11 rounds.

So basically you can keep firing continuously but you gotta alternate headshots and body shots?

That doesn't sound too bad.
