For Vo G / Crota any preferred weapon types? I have Thorn, levelling up Invictive and have a couple of armour pieces that boost elements. Leveling a purple hand cannon (Forget the name).

Would it still be worth it to do the raids after 2.0 and TTK come out? I want to do them before I start on the expansion content.

You would get the shaders, and maybe the ships or sparrow.
The guns, armour, and class items will be usless outside of year 1 content though.

True. Oh well, maybe they'll just be Ascendant Shard fodder and whatnot. I mostly just want them for the experience now, rather than anything like getting loot.

I wouldn't necessarily say "most". Definitely a majority of people involved in the community, ie. redditors, us tropes, bungie forumgoers etc. have raided, but overall I think there are still a pretty substantial number of players who still play semi-regularly who haven't done either raids yet. It's just a matter of free time, ability to gather a group and/or willingness.

I haven't completed either raid start to finish. (Got carried to the end of Vo G by some friends, haven't ever been to the end of the Crota raid, although I have done the first part on hard. Got the Oversoul Edict, aka the only pulse rifle I've liked since the Stranger's Rifle.)
Hopefully they'll try to keep the raids relevant.
