Could you give that name's spelling? Every Oda Nobukatsu and Oda Nobuyuki I found couldn't have their names pronounced both ways, but the most famous of them was named Nobuyuki (信行) but also went by Nobukatsu (信勝), so I'm guessing that's the one you're talking about, and the source of confusion.
And Choucho can mean butterfly. It's just another word for them.

The one I talked about was Nobunaga's brother, so that's the one. The source of confusion is that he went by two different names. Not that it could be read different ways.

My preferred method is to read actual publications in Japanese, as far as possible. Bonus: if it's text on a site, I can just plop any words I don't know into Google Translate. Any source other than that, and you'll need kanji OCR.
To clarify a confusion of mine... does the "Katsu" part of "Nobukatsu Oda" can be read also as "yuki"?
Because I have seen the latter being used in a fan translation and Wikipedia, but the former is what I most often see in Official Translations.
Also, I might as well put this here too, I heard "Choucho" translates to "Butterfly", is this true?
