I am not sure who else would be interested in this, but I felt like I might as well make a topic about it now that the games for next week are set.

AFC:

  1. New England Patriots (14-2)
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)
  3. Indianapolis Colts (10-6)
  4. Kansas City Chiefs (10-6)
  5. Baltimore Ravens (12-4)
  6. N.Y. Jets (11-5)

I actually think that the top two seeds in the AFC are pretty good and from what I have seen of the Patriots, I think that they are definitely the team to beat. I do not plan on rooting for them or anything and I do believe that can be beaten given the quality of the AFC playoff teams though. I am not really an expert on the AFC because I only tend to watch NFC games (except when the Packers are playing an AFC team).

NFC:

  1. Atlanta Falcons (13-3)
  2. Chicago Bears (11-5)
  3. Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)
  4. Seattle Seahawks (7-9)  *
  5. New Orleans Saints (11-5)
  6. Green Bay Packers (10-6)

Based on some of their recent performances, I am not too impressed with the Saints and Bears and I think that the Seahawks small chance of advancing is fairly obvious given their record, especially against good teams. Of course, I have bias here because I am a Packer fan.

I think both the Packers and the Saints will win their first two games. After that, who knows. The Pack lost to the Falcons before, but it was a somewhat close game. Furthermore, I think the Saints will probably outplay the Bears. And as for the championship game... I think if the Falcons go, they'll probably win. If the Pack goes, they can probably beat the Bears, but probably not the Saints.
Anyway, that's just my lay opinion. Go Pack!
