—The Decepticon tapped Zod on the shoulder, his processor whirring away.—

Doom's eyes widened fractionally as he took in the results of his scans. It seemed that his earlier comparison between the sudden appearance of this child's toys and Franklin Richards had been particularly apt; if his armour's sensors were feeding him accurate information—and there was no reason for them not to be—then the raw, unmitigated power packed into this child's frame placed her at a markedly high rung on most power scales, almost equivalent to that of an Omega-level mutant. A dangerous combination, to be sure—the incredible power of some of the most powerful men and women on his planet, paired with a clearly-fragile mental stability; Doom would have to exercise caution in this one's presence.

Fortunately, something seemed to be interfering with her powers, preventing her from exercising the full extent of their abilities; doubtless Centum and his ilk were adverse to the idea of having their game be ruined by the destructive tendencies of one of their own pawns. Furthermore, his sensor suite had indicated the presence of fangs and a notable lack of a pulse, obvious signs of vampirism—and Victor von Doom, by dint of having Dracula as an enemy, was well-prepared to deal with vampires...

"I suppose you could say that, yes," Doom replied at length. "I am a guest in this place...although, regrettably, I am being kept here against my will."

"Why is that? Did you make Big Sis angry? Did you steal one of Patchy's books? Oh oh I know. You must have said something bad abotu Sakuya's cooking. Thats sure to make them mad." The little vampire girl said, crossing her arms and nodding her head. It seemed that she didn't understand where exactly she was. Maybe she thought she was back home.

Jack ignored Amber, still talking to Norman. "I don't remember that ever happening."

@Jack "Heh. Must not have happened in your universe. Lucky child."

Amber smiled at Maleficent and shook her head. "It's not magic that I was able to get my Contractor powers. Rather it's from the supposed disappearance of Heaven's Gate during Heaven's War in South America." She then asked the witch. "I don't think I got your name yet Ms..."

Doom shook his head. "I am afraid that it is not something so simple, child. If you please, sit down, and I shall explain."

The Latverian monarch reached up to snap his fingers, and a curious device resembling a hovering, cylindrical throne rose out of the floor behind him. Doom sat down on this levitating chair, slouching faintly within the seat as his rested his chin on the armoured knuckles of his right hand.

"Before I begin, however, I would like to know to whom I am orating. What is your name, if I may ask?"

"Maleficent," she said to Amber. "So you say you and your fellow Contractors gained your powers from the destruction of gate to Heaven? HAH! Surely the people in this world are complete fools to bring about the destruction a portal used by the Divine!"

Norman sighs and facepalms again. "You know I thought that we are supposed to make our allies like you from the start."

Flandre turned behind her and notice that a pink chair her height just suddenly appeared behind her. She smiled and sat in it, looking back up at Doom. "I'm Flandre Scarlet. Who are you?" She asked in return. She squinted her eyes in an attempt to see inside of his mask.

"Well it's not a gate to be precise." Amber told Maleficent. "It's some closed space that takes over a certain amount of land. No one knows why they were there. I've seen the power of Heaven's Gate when it disappeared. I used to serve with MI:5 before I defected to the Syndicate."

"So you say that it may be of alien origin?" The Shocker Rider asked Amber.

"Perhaps." Amber shrugged. "No one will know anyway." She eyed the Overlords. "I'm getting this feeling that not all of you were filled in on our current situation."

"'Fraid not. And I don't have a name. I'm a Shocker Rider class, but I'm using the name Hopper."

"Pleased to meet you, Hopper." Amber smiled and offered to shake hands with him.

"Likewise."

Doom nodded faintly, staring at the child with his cold, green eyes. "A pleasure to meet you, Flandre Scarlet. My name is Victor von Doom, but in the land I come from I am more commonly known as Doctor Doom. In my land, I am a king; I rule over my people with a firm and gentle hand, and in turn they love me, for I provide them with such wondrous toys and treats. Sadly, others are jealous of Doom's good relationship with his people; in their shortsighted foolishness, they think me a villain, and try to steal my ideas or throw me in prison for crimes I never committed. In spite of this, I have always managed to emerge triumphant and protect my people."

The Latverian monarch's eyes narrowed. "Now, however, something bad has happened. While I slept, an evil man called Centum kidnapped me and spirited me away to this place, where he forces Doom to perform cruel games for the amusement of his despicable friends."

—Megatron's jaw descends a couple centimetres, and only Zod, Maleficent, and Kerrigan have the properties necessary to hear him properly.—

Flandre tried her best to resister snickering when Doctor Doom said his own name verydramatically. She listened to the rest of the story and tilted her head. She looked around and asked "So...this isn't the Scarlet Devil Mansion?"

You will find no disagreement from me. Kerrigan sent back to Megatron wordlessly.

Maleficent briefly turned to Megatron and whispered the word "Agreed" to him, using her magic to make sure only the giant robot could hear her.

"Regrettably, Miss Scarlet, it is not."

Doom's hover throne rotated slightly, and he gestured to his door—still obstructed by that oversized plush bear. "Beyond this door were what I believed to be my bed chambers, but when I stepped through I found myself here, in this strange place. It would seem that Centum has kidnapped you too, alas, along with all the others here."

"Well thats not very nice. I need to get back home before Remi gets worried about me. I'll just have to kick this Centum's butt." Flandre said. She sprung to her feet and held out her hand to the side. There formed a small ball of red energy. That extented into a line and soon took the shape of what looked to be an odd stick. Doom's scanners would find that this item was also very powerful, similar to that of Thor's Hammer.

The Shocker Rider swore he heard something. Well technically he could thanks to the nanomachine surgery that he can hear better, but decided to keep quiet about it.

Amber asked the Shocker Rider. "Can you introduce me to some of the others? I wish to know them by name at least before I tell you all why I recruited your group for the mission."

The Shocker Rider looked behind him. "I wish I could, but I know only a few. And a couple of them said you're terrorists."

Amber frowned. "I bet that's PANDORA propaganda being fed to the media once again. Sure we did assassinate that PANDORA official in Singapore and bombed the Canadian consulate to kill the Consul-General, but those men are targets since they work for the Syndicate."

"This Syndicate you speak of," Maleficent said to Amber, "is this group some type of criminal organization that managed to take control of the government in the confusion resulting from these Gates?"

"So can I have an explanation of why the government wants to do this genocide?"

Doom steepled his fingers, nodding in satisfaction. "I too wish to return home; my kingdom needs my guidance and protection, especially if it is to be kept safe from the greedy hands of that blasted Richards."

He glanced at Flandre once again, seemingly deep in thought. "Unfortunately, this Centum has proven himself to be amazingly powerful, Flandre, and he only shows himself infrequently; when he does, it is to mock us for our inability to escape. Alone, we are not strong enough to take him on, and none of the others here are interested in cooperating to improve our chances of escape."

The Latverian monarch leaned forward slightly in his throne. "What do you say, Flandre? Do you want to work together, so that we can beat Centum and his friends and go home?"

Flandre nodded her head and smiled, showing her fangs. "Yeah, Lets kick his butt and make him and his friends cry. They'll be really sorry." She said cheerfully.

—A ludicrously overblown HA! rings out, and after a few seconds of echoes, there is silence.—

"Well the Syndicate is a criminal organization, but it has a worldwide presence made up of politicians, business leaders, police and military officials. They can influence governments to a certain extent, but they have agents working for them in various intelligence agencies. Even the CIA and the FSB have double agents working for them. They became more... let's say more known in the underground after the Heaven's War when Heaven's Gate disappeared from Brazil."

Amber hopped down sitting down on the crate and approached Norman. "Of course I'm about to get to that, Mr..." She raised a hand to Norman, hoping to shake hands with him.
