I used the PSD. I turned everything off and just kept the line art. Although you had some aliasing this wasn't a problem, I just turned the layer to Multiply. (A trick you might wanna use in the future: instead of trying to "extract" the lines, just use Multiply).
The lack of line was certainly mind-boggling, with everything else being so carefully drawn, but hey, compared to the amount of holes in the line art when I draw my own, it's nothing I can't handle, hehe :)
What is this I don't evenLoni Jay: well, it's always nicer if you have higher resolution and cleaner line work. Clean lines are important if you want a comic book style colour work, because it makes the life easier for whoever is doing the colours.
Here's a great example from Freak Angels where clean line work really makes a difference.
If you are ever going to work on your drawings in a paint software, I'd highly recommend using much higher resolutions when you scan your drawings in. It's always easier to make it smaller when the time comes.
As it turns out, your drawing is clean enough that it can be used with a bit of tweaking... here it is◊, if anyone wants to have a go!
What is this I don't evenYes, the missing lines was because I tried to make it a tad surreal-ish. Same with the wings just floating there by themselves.
What is this with multiply on the lines layer, I read someone saying that as well earlier today. I know what the multiply setting would do, but how/why would it be easier that way?
What am I doing here again? What are you doing here? I lurk around at Deviantart rather than here.@Fibojoly Thanks! What did you do to 'tweak' it? I'm always intending to learn how to make lineart properly in GIMP or something, but all the tutorials seem quite complex.
Be not afraid...spoki 0: The Multiply mode does exactly that: it multiply the layer you chose with the layers underneath. What's the point of it? Well, if your layer is a black and white layer (ie, you line art on a white background), what's gonna happen is that anything white on that layer won't change anything below it (Because white is equal to 1.0, and multiplying by 1.0 doesn't change a value), whereas any black area is gonna turn anything below it to black (because black is equal to 0.0 and multiplyiny by zero turns anything to zero). This is much simpler than what you did, which I expect was to select all the white areas in your drawing, then delete them, right? Zoom in on any of your lines, put a black background beneath that layer and you will immediately see the problem: some areas are not completely black. That's aliasing. It's always a headache to avoid this. When you multiply, those problematic pixels simply multiply with what's below, keeping the smoothness of your linework blending in the surrounding colours.
What is this I don't evenLoni Jay: I was gonna try and explain it all again, but it turns out my old "tutorials" are still there (I'm ahw)! This is one method I taught to students so they'd have nice graphics for their projects.
This method is the one I used originally, but the results simply aren't as nice. But if you use this method, then apply the "turn to path" trick from the first method, you get some really nice results.
On your drawing, though, I first resized it by 400% before applying those tricks. You can try it on the original size, but the results are quite different (the method 1 above tends to lose details, so that's why I use it on high res drawings).
I hope this helps :)

What is this I don't evenMy lineart was drawn on an empty layer using the paintbrush tool. Since I used the paintbrush rather than the pencil you get aliasing.
What am I doing here again? What are you doing here? I lurk around at Deviantart rather than here.Yeah, I looked at it again and I stand corrected: the majority of your drawing is anti-aliased correctly. As should be! It's only an issue with the eyes/mouths, the hair lines and the leg lines (all inner lines, not contour ones). Dunno what your did different, there.
Have only your Lineart Body and Plain Background visible. Switch your "plain background" to a grey instead of white and it'll jump at you. (You won't see it on your Gradient background)
Switch the lineart layer to "Multiply" and it'll vanish because of what I explained.
Out of curiosity, what did you use to get such clean lines? Did you trace them yourself freehand (maybe with some pressure control), or did you use vectors? I certainly wish I could get something that clean, lol :)

What is this I don't evenI draw my lineart using the pen tool to create the lines, stroke path with simulate pressure applied and in the brush options (F5 to open) I selected different settings at the shape dynamics. Pen pressure or fade depending on the lines.
I have no idea what I did different on the inner lines where the aliasing went wrong thou...
What am I doing here again? What are you doing here? I lurk around at Deviantart rather than here.I coloured Loni Jay's original unedited lineart: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/849/windsweptgirlwithturtle.jpg/
(I couldn't figure out the background, so I just erased it.)
Lovely. Want to post some lines?
@ Fanty Nice! Your background is nicer than mine was anyway, although it now appears to be a flying turtle
Post some lineart and I will colour it in - I'm experimenting with GIMP at the moment so it probably won't be all that good, though.

Be not afraid...Haha, and I thought it was supposed to be a flying turtle. Just shows that I totally didn't get the background.
No, it shows that I'm not very good at backgrounds It was supposed to be a beach, with a dune. There's not really much to work with, with a flat beach.
Be not afraid...ohhh... This seems like fun.
I've got some lines if anyone's interested [1]

I'm taking that up.
This thread have been dead for some time now eh?
Edit: I'm not looking for lineart to colour, more like I could post some lineart if anyone want to colour it.

or if you prefer

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Oh wow, this thread is so cool, why did it ever die?
Well, Leradny disappeared... and no one else was up for colouring, I guess...
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable
Looks rather good. I especially like the golden colouring on that band thing of mine. Did you use the jpg, png or psd file?
You're welcome for the lineart. Surprised you didn't mention the intentional lack of lines between the dress and the hair.
