...I mean.
I don't mind her Smash 4 design, mostly. It's a little better than her Brawl and Other M designs.
Rocket heels is ridiculous in a fun way, which regular heels mostly aren't.
I feel she should be a little more muscular? Like, more like a gymnast or something.
She should probably have a few. Not to Mikasa Ackerman levels, but I see where you are coming from.
Maybe her slim figure being able to handle the heavy suit is a result of her Chozo blood.
So, She isn't normally as Gymnastic as she is in Smash

Sooo, how would that affect how muscular she is?
Also on another note, I wouldn't mind it if the manga got an anime adaptation, or at least a series of short videos. I mean, it worked for Kid Icarus.
Current theory that I'm making up is that beings that evolved for higher gravity would be shorter and squatter.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersShe definitely should be more muscular - though SSB 4 going for 'moderately athletic' is at least better than Other M's 'short noodle person'. And doing so wouldn't incompatible with the pulpy comic aesthetic at all - an idealised physique similar to say, She-Hulk or F-Zero's Mrs. Arrow◊ would fit the style completely and also make the Zero Suit cut a slightly more powerful figure.
Though I like the direction they took for ZSS's facial structure and hairstyle in SSB 4 - it manages to be remain stylised and yet be more naturalistic than any game past Prime 1; the hue of the hair being less strawlike is also a welcome change.
...I dunno. I just prefer the Smash Bros. 4 physique. Opinions, opinions.
Heck, I wouldn't mind it if Sakurai directs the next Metroid, based on his work on Kid Icarus Uprising.
Sakurai tends to go for fast paced games that you can get into immediately and start having a blast. While this works for a lot of things, I don't think he'd be a good fit for Metroid. The series is better off being slow, letting you take your time to explore or just take in the environment and atmosphere around you. The series doesn't seem to fit his design philosophies.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Samus has always struck me more as a gymnast than a bodyduilder, if that makes any sense. She should have plenty of muscle tone, but I also don't think her being especially bulky quite works, either.
I sure said that!Odd question but, is the Fusion Suit... fused to Samus' body? I know it's apparently porous enough for her to absorb X through the surface of it, but its it like skin now? Like her Zero Suit fused to the Power Suit's remains? Or is that blue stuff like a membrane or something? Can she take it off? That's what I'm thinking about.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatShe takes it off in some of the alternate Fusion endings, so it's not fused with her or anything.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.But since the story kind of stops there, we don't know which ending is canon. I hope the helmet at least comes off, it'd get really claustrophobic after a while.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI think the Fusion Suit is just the lining between the Zero Suit and the Power Suit.
Oh really when?I think parts of it are connected to her skin throughout Fusion itself. It was the result of giving her the vaccine after surgically removing the infected parts of her power suit. Nasty stuff, that.
Anyway, I think, however, that absorbing the SA-X and regaining a more classic-looking suit also made it possible to fully remove the thing again. Sort of by repairing the full function of the suit, basically.
I have a message from another time...Man, talk about a very Bio Punk situation there.
Onto a different topic, do you guys think another Japanese studio should get a chance at developing for this series, or are they too sexist for your tastes?
Miyamoto seems to be interested in heading up the next entry(ies) in the franchise so I say let him handle it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Considering he was the one who suggested Prime be in first-person, I wouldn't mind seeing him tackle the series either. Platinum Games would be another great pick.
What does this thread think about Japanese media in general, since it appears that Other M has convinced them that it shouldn't be anywhere close to this series?
Give it to Kojima
Oh really when? You're really overreacting. Sakamoto's demon baby unintentionally(?) being a misogynistic nightmare has nothing to do with all Japanese developers being tainted. Without his input, I'm fairly sure no Metroid game will repeat the sins of the past four years.
Though I'd like to see an internal take on the series again, especially for the next sidescroller. It's depressing that we've had no followup to ZM in the last decade. At least there's AM 2 R...

...I have absolutely no problems with Japanese media and I don't think anyone in this thread has any major problem with it, either.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!@L Dragon: Miyamoto doesn't seem to like story in games though :P And Platinum games make action games
And seriously, stop Sakamoto is the devil jokes or I will cast voodoo curse on you guys
Have Nintendo hire Koji Igarashi.
Seeing as IGA is, sadly, never going to do Castlevania again; I'd be down for that.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Psst, Metroid games play completely differently from Iga Castlevanias <_< Just so you are aware of it...........
Seriously, Metroidvania is kinda misleading nickname for a genre since those two games share only one thing in common :P
Ah, I see.
I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Personally, I think her Smash Bros 4 design is the best one.
