Just found about this.
That music sounded quite funky.
I wonder if it'll get dubbed.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyRemember how the Hi-Evolution series is doing standalone pieces on characters? Well, I was randomly browsing through You Tube when I ran into a teaser that's just dropped today.
That's right: Anemone's long-awaited return is upon us, as her film is next. Looks like it's going to be a very dark story, which I guess is to be expected from an Anemone standalone piece. Also, I didn't see Dominic or Gulliver but I'm hopeful the two will show up. Regardless, this film series had my curiosity but now it has my attention.
They also released a teaser poster◊. Gee beasties, that poster screams Darker and Edgier, almost akin to an Evangelion or Urobuchi's Godzilla movies than E7.

Together, we are one.So! That LFO in the fiery poster?
Incidentally, anyone else think the legs are on the weird and impractical side? Like, it looks like the LFO is on short stilts or something. Also, if the first movie got dubbed, I guess that means this new one will too? Hope Kari Wahlgren comes back as Anemone if so.

And here's the first teaser trailer for the final Hi-Evolution film out in 2021, titled Eureka: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution
Bumping this thread to give new context to the wild ass direction the franchise took after the original anime. From Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/p1gpq9/eureka_seven_hievolution_new_visual/
Now I like the ending how it actually turned out but seemingly this version is gonna be very different and that’s on purpose. now idk if it’s gonna be any good at all lmao, just explaining why it exists
One of potential endings was this and the manga ending.

https://eurekaseven.fandom.com/wiki/Eureka_Seven_Anime_and_Manga_Differences
New Order is the original ending for the Eureka Seven anime, where Eureka was originally going to die-except-not basically. The manga more or less used the original ending in place of what the anime choose to go with. Now, combine this information with what we keep seeing out of the franchise (Pocket Full of Rainbows, AO, and now the Hi-Evolution films) and its pretty clear these executives meddled in just the right way. The anime ending is just a better reflection of the rest of the themes its choose to use in the story, whereas the "darker and edgier" sequels and spin-offs all fall flat on their face for multiple reasons.
Kind of amazing that the ending he was disappointed in is still the most loved one lol. Even then there are a lot of stuff in the original ending that are pretty messed up that I wish would be addressed (like the Scub coral mass bombings)
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boys
Cool hope it doesn't end up in a hiatus like 4.0
