Oh, lookie. Ajimu just nuked the last remnants of the fourth wall. Well, this series is probably better off without that thing anyway.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."That would be kind of impossible, logistically.
I'd probably go for "I'll end it before the 5th season" or however many seasons it ends up having. Or "cours" or whatever the industry term is.
That kind of loses the sort of thing that its doing where its playing off a different medium entirely that's upcoming.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell since we know when the anime is airing she's essentially just setting a date. Unless she plans on delaying the anime, which would admittedly be quite impressive on Nisio's part.
Maybe they'll just lampshade it. "I'll end this manga before the anime airs! ... Oh."
I guess it'd be easy to change the "manga should be around only ten volumes" thing to an equivalent number of episodes.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Actually if the anime gets far enough I think the lines will be "Anime that go for more than 2 seasons are just coasting on their success, and we're in the third season right now. That's why before the fourth season starts, I'll end this anime."
Hey guys. Got intrigued by this series a while ago, but I've only started my Archive Binge recently. I'm up to Ch. 48 now.
The initial chapters before the Genre Shift were surprisingly decent. I was expecting a Mahou Sensei Negima where everything was bad until it starts getting action-oriented (granted, I liked those chapters too). I'm also glad to see the humor remain past that point.
I'll admit that the Enforcer arc nearly made me drop the series. Two things pissed me off. First, the whole "Oh Medaka's doing something CRAZY again!" stance by the students was getting really old really fast. Second, Unzen's probably the first manga character to legitimately make me angry. He was just annoying as hell to listen to. I never thought 'I fight in the name of JUSTICE!' could sound so trite. Thankfully it's fixed later, if only by making him less of a blatant Knight of Cerebus.
Ouda's my favorite character so far. He's such a self-absorbed dick that he continually circles past "annoying" to orbit around "awesome."
Recent chapters have been very good, but regarding Kikaijima vs. Yukuhashi, I have to ask: Where the hell did the narrator come from? Seriously I haven't seen "show don't tell" obliterated so badly since I had to read The Scarlet Letter.
Don't take any of this the wrong way, guys. Loving the series so far. Just trying to be critical here. Looking forward to catching up!
EDIT: OH SWEET MERCIFUL CHRIST WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

Yeeeah, this manga can get... wordy.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it.
I am disappointed by that PV - no animation yet. Guess I can't expect it with a fair while to go till premiere. Maybe two or three months.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"So apparently no one mentioned the latest chapter coming out while I was gone? "Unlike justice..." Nice to see some focus on Shiranui, and for some reason I've been looking forward to a real election arc ever since they mentioned off-handedly how awesome the first one before the series began apparently was.
Oh, and Good Loser Kumagawa came out too. Apparently about Kumagawa destroying his previous school. Not sure if it's just a one-shot or not though.
Oh, All-Fiction. Never before has one superhuman ability been so gloriously, hilariously, ruinously HAX.
Shiranui had a crush on Zenkichi? Okay.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI will now proceed to quote Shiranui every time my friend goes all emo about his love life.
Still isn't Gold Experience Requiem, though.
Watch SymphogearKnow what, you've just reminded me of how much I love crazy abilities.
EDIT: I've just read Good Loser Kumagawa, and it is awesome.
First things first, best transfer student introduction ever.
And still heavily meta.
As expected the student council was a just a bunch of pushovers. Oxygen manipulation is a pretty cool skill, but then we have gems like "the ability to manipulate sexual desire". Ha.
And it's interesting to see that Kumagawa's been looking for a way to defeat Anshin'in all this time. He just happened to be destroying things along the way.
I think this isn't just a one shot. Kumagawa talked about a new serialization, and the blurb on the final page implies that we'll be seeing how Kumagawa and mind-control girl will conclude their fight.

Chapter 129 is up, but it's mostly just set up for the next one.
...that's a lot of rules to remember.
Good thing this is manga land and these are all geniuses so instead of fumbling around with the rules they are going to instantly be well versed after having heard the rules once.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, there are certainly going to be a few of them who make dumb mistakes just to give an opportunity for the others to correct them. Well, less rule-forgetting than not understanding the implications.
It probably makes more sense given that they're supposed to be familiar with the base game. Since I'm not, I don't have a clear picture of the basic "gameflow" which makes the additional rules harder to remember.
They pretty much are geniuses.
I'm actually interested on how Kumagawa will "lose" this one. As the cheating girl said, "you can't cheat the cards, but you can still cheat humans!" Psych warfare go!
EDIT: By the way, has anyone else seen that epic WMG about Medaka Box?

So, let me get this straight: Kumagawa plans on winning over the council by having them play a card game so needlessly complicated that the guy of "abnormal justice" needed to make 20-something rules to it just make it somewhat fair.
Yeah, I'm betting the writer purposefully OD'd on the rules knowing that the average reader would call quits after like the first 10 so that he could get away with abusing said rules Yu Gi Oh-style. I know if I tried to pull this shit on my friends I'd get my ass kicked.

That's the plan, alright. We're dealing with Kumagawa here, things won;t exactly be fair.
"I'll end this manga before the anime begins"
I wonder if we can take that as a promise? Or, as the villain, we can take it as a promise that she'll be wrong in the end?
And I've always wanted to see an election. They've made the previous one sound so exciting.
